Might give it a swerve next time
I like this restaurant and have been here a number of times before and given it positive reviews, but when three of you come for a business lunch and it takes 1.5 hours to be served one course and your client who had said they were keen to have a pudding wasn't able to as they had to leave to get back to work, that's not good. The restaurant was full, but that is no excuse. It can either cope with the number of covers or it can't.
Be the first to ReplyBottomless Brunch - Excellent Value for Money.
Atmosphere brilliant... Music was fabulous (live DJ) although maybe a little loud for us as we were right under a speaker...but not an issue. Food Lovely... we all had Lobster or Steak as we were at the 3-5 session and only 1 of the steaks was overcooked but they remedied this straight away. Bottomless side (buffet style) really really nice. Not at all skimpy on the prosecco (Beer and aperol spritz are alternatives) ...they were refilling constantly and even right up until we left the table (well after the 5 finish time). Staff so friendly, especially Jack (Hospitality Manager)... who made us feel very welcome and ensured we had a magical time. Loved every minute... will return!
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for lunch
Great place for a business meal. Had the terrine followed by chicken escalopes Holstein all washed down with a nice Chablis. What better way to spend a Friday in the office.
Be the first to ReplyShocking service
Took a client for lunch and walked out after 25 minutes waiting for someone to provide a menu. Service was shocking. Tried a number of times to get the waiters attention but were ignored.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent weekend brunch!
We had a wonderful brunch here on Saturday. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was courteous and friendly. I would like to give a special mention to our servers Natu, Rodrigo and Saba who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable and memorable. I canโt wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyBrilliant Birthday Brunch ๐๐ผ
Had an absolutely fantastic afternoon at the bottomless brunch, we were a party of 6 and we had a mix of steak and lobster both were cooked to perfection. Our glasses were never empty, were had a mix of Aperol Spritze and Prosecco. This was a double birthday celebration so a big thank you to Natu, Rodrigo and Saba, you made our afternoon extra special. Your service was 5* We will be back. ๐๐ผ๐ฅ๐
Be the first to ReplyNot for us.
Sorry but not for us. Started with not the best impression. We were booked for the 3pm sitting. We were a bit early but they don't have anywhere to grab a drink 1st. I'm sure there are other bars here but we were told it would all be closed until 3. We waited outside along with lots of others and just before 3 everyone queues outside. Didn't make it feel very special. Once inside we had a lovely table. The main crowds seem to be large birthdays, hen parties etc. The DJ is good, but we couldn't hear ourselves speak. They could do with keeping the volume down for the 1st hour or so while your eating and turn it up a little into the 2 hours. The salad selection in our opinion was bland and quite strange. There are no meats, fish or cheese. Salad leaves, cold green beans, cold butternut squash, chickpeas, coleslaw, potatoes salad and some bread. The dinner is OK. Husband and daughter had the steak and I had the lobster of which there were about 4 mouthfuls. The drinks do flow and the staff do a great job. We did ask if we could see a desert menu and we would have happily paid extra as we were still hungry but were told that they don't offer a desert even at an extra cost. Boom, missing a trick here! Sadly we won't be back. There are far far better brunches on offer in London
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for a brunch
Visited for a friends birthday and the new bottomless brunch on a Saturday - couldnโt fault the service and always topping up and offering more drinks right up till you left - salad buffet was great - good selection of mains to choose from, steak and lobster was good but not amazing - great atmosphere we will visit again

I had this place on my list of places to visit for a year or so and eventually got around to visiting and thought it was distinctively average! It was very expensive and not particularly good value for money either. There was nothing special about the food to justify a high price for something that isnโt really worth anything close to the amount.
Be the first to ReplyGreat bottomless top ups, average food.
A really lovely bright and airy dining room, attentive staff and great top ups on bottomless Prosecco. The buffet starters were a selection of vegetable salads, very fresh and tasty. Delicious bread selection too. There was no meat or fish though. Our main courses (steak, lobster) were tasty. Steak was well cooked and tender. The lobster was a little overdone. No dessert on offer. Overall a decent brunch, very good on the booze, food is average.

The food was very good, the service was slick, but the standout winner was the beautiful dining room, made even cooler by the amazing maps above the bar. Give the designer a pat on the back!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible customer service
This was a lunch with one of my clients. We both liked the menu (I wanted to eat 75% of it) and when the food arrived it was very nice. However, the thing that made my experience stand out is the customer service. There was a slight issue with my dish which I pointed out when the plates were cleared (I had eaten 90% of the dish which shows that it wasn't too serious!). An apology was immediate and we were told we wouldnt have to pay for anything - not just my dish but the whole meal. On top of that we were offered complimentary coffees and delicious truffles. This really was exceptional customer service and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.

No Michelin star, whoโs the chef? No idea. But food 5 star, service5 star surroundings 5 star. What more do you need to know? I expensive yes of course but you get what you pay for.
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming
Nothing here would make you feel special. The reception staff were about the best thing. The service was average, or below actually for what you pay on service charge, the food was expensive I paid ยฃ10 each for 2 scallops to start, and ยฃ30 for one lamb chop. It came to just over ยฃ400 for 3 of us for lunch. I certainly wouldn't rush back here. Had a nice time, but that's because I have nice friends. Also the art on the walls, you know its a con when they will not give you the prices. No one associated to this place cares overly about giving value. Shame, nice venue.
Be the first to ReplyBad Manager
Bad Manager ..... I've been going to this restaurant for years, and I've always been well attended by the staff.but today I came across a very unpleasant scene, the Manager named ( Gojart ) caught the attention of the employee talking aloud to her. he didn't have any manners to talk to her. for this reason I am giving 0 I hope the Owner (Soren) can see the kind of people he's hiring for the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyI had an amazing cabaret night at 1 Lombard!
I recently was treated by my friend to a Cabaret night by the Cocoa butter club, hosted at 1 Lombard street, and it was amazing. It was my first experience of cabaret and burlesque, and what a fantastic show it was. Made even better by being in the stunning 1 Lombard street. They even treated me and my friend to a glass of bubbly, dinner and some very sexy dancing! Definitely will be returning for the next Halloween cabaret event end of october.
Be the first to ReplyBeware the Pricing!
I had a business lunch at No 1 and when the bill arrived I was very surprised to see that the menu items had been quoted ex VAT. In addition to this 15% was added as a gratuity so two courses and a carafe of wine came to ยฃ95 per head! The food was very good but not that good. This approach to pricing is devious at one level and unacceptable in another. I canโt remember the last time I visited a restaurant when prices donโt include VAT. It all leaves a bad taste, be prepared!

No Air con - poor service - good food - the only other compliant is with trip advisor- having write a 100 min character review - not sure why it needs to be so long but hopefully this is long enough the satisfy the thought police.
Be the first to ReplyDecent food, average service
There is a good food selection, and it isn't too pricey for the City. Lovely surroundings. Food is tasty and presented ok. Service is a little rushed and abrupt which put me off.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful meal with great service
I was surprised to see so many negative reviews, as we had a lovely time at 1 Lombard Street. We had the set menu for ยฃ30, which includes a glass of prosecco. The choices on the menu were great, including a nice vegetarian dish for each course. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and overall we had a great experience. Yes it's not cheap, but it's worth it and we will be back.
Be the first to ReplySlow lunchtime service
Nice food and great wine list but really lacking in service with long waits and drinks not delivered A shame and could see other tables with the same issue
Be the first to ReplySlowest service I've EVER experienced and cold steak
I went for a business dinner recently and upon sitting down no one came to bring us water of offer us drinks for 20 minutes, by which point we had to ask. Upon ordering it took 15 minutes to bring our drinks - we only ordered beer and wine, no crazy cocktails! We had to ask them to take our food order which was another long wait, when the steaks arrived most of them had cooled significantly/were almost cold. With the service being so slow I didn't even raise this as we were so hungry by this point and on a business dinner. After dinner we wanted more drinks - no one came to ask, we had to flag someone down, this was another long wait, to the point where I had to ask the waiter where our wine was, he checked and said it was just coming - this was another 15 minute wait for 2 glasses of wine - and the restaurant was almost empty at this point. Overall extremely slow and disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyReliable, if a bit slow
The restaurant is attractive and was pretty full with a buzzy atmosphere. The popularity combined with Brexit/pandemics issues may have been the reason service wasnโt as quick as it could have been for a work lunch, but the food was worth the wait - smoked salmon followed by roasted cod and a side of fries. Three cheers for the end of COVID restrictions!

Very nice meal. Very quiet restaurant but excellent menu and lovely choices. Great wines and excellent service. Will go again. Lao a great choice for a business lunch.
Be the first to ReplyShambolic
Pathetic service. Arrived at 7pm for our booking for 12. Waited 1.5 hours for orders to be taken. Food very average for this type of establishment. Left after cancelling desert due to length of time between starters and main course of 30 mins. Spoke to the manager and complained and he still had the cheek to add ยฃ200 service charge. I spoke with him again and told him to remove it to which he replied Iโve already removed 2 bottles of wine. So he should we had several as there was nothing else to do for 2hrs. In one word shambolic!!!!!!!.
