Their food was hearty and satisfying.
There is a wonderful menu choices in addition to the enormous size. I had their Fried Chicken Salad with Einkorn Tagliatelle, and it was excellent. It was wonderful and savory. The filling was outstanding. It's a fantastic restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Service was great.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot with great ambience.
I had the steak. Great seasoning and came with a lovely salsa. It came with some greens and carrots that were perfect.Staff was awesome. Highly recommend.

We visited in Aug, 2022 when restaurant week was on, this prompted us to visit. Despite no restrictions to times / days for the offer on their website they refused to honour it on the sunday evening we were there, this resulted in us spending $250+ for three people instead of ~$150.Major fail, bad taste in our mouths, but we decided to stay.During the meal the service was awful. Now I love a bit of chat and banter with staff in a restaurant or bar, however the level of being talked AT by our server was obnoxious. He wouldn't stop talking to us and asking us personal questions which meant we couldn't properly enjoy each others company. Then when we needed some assistance - nothing. We had to stand up and ask for more water three times and stand up again and ask for silver-wear when our mains came.Food was good.Experience was so awful we went to Venchi across the street for desert. When I emailed the restaurant with feedback I received a long list of excuses and limited attempts to restore our faith.
Be the first to ReplyOrdered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon for brunch.
The hollandaise sauce was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The salmon was fresh. Unfortunately, the eggs were cooked well done which took away from the creaminess that the whole bit would have created. The staff is all very friendly and the inside very quaint and cute.
Be the first to ReplyI came here with a few friends for dinner yesterday.
Since we all love Dig we were excited to try this place as it's from the same group. It did not disappoint! The food all tastes wonderful, fresh and seasonal and with lots of great vegetarian options. We started with zucchini fries, the focaccia, and roasted oyster mushrooms, all of which were outstanding and packed with flavor. For the main course I had grilled zucchini with feta, tomatoes, and some kind of super delicious aioli. They have an extensive drink menu and even have some good non-alcoholic elixirs that are great if you're not a drinker We also loved the ambiance and our server Jacob who was as super friendly and patient (we took a little long deciding what we wanted!) The food is a bit pricey given the small portions but it is so good I'd still recommend this place to anyone

So me and my boyfriend have driven by this place a bunch of times and finally decided to stop in for dinner. The ambiance is great, beautiful location and being able to watch the chefs cook was so nice. But the portions are small, so don't come hungry! The food tasted amazing wish we got a bit more - but this was kinda expected from a restaurant like this. But the kind of place you go to once and don't really feel the urge to hurry back.

Made reservations for a Friday evening for 4 - note that if you cancel your reservation, you are subjected for a pretty hefty cancellation fee. The restaurant is decorated very aesthetically and feels like a very nice atmosphere, although there was the occasional mosquito/fly flying around. We started off with the focaccia of the day, which was zucchini. It was very tasty, but very small for 4 people. After cutting the piece, it was probably 2 sq inches of bread/person. I ordered the whole eggplant. The flavors were good, and I liked how seasoned the eggplant was. The chickpeas were a little plain and seemed to be from a can, but the dip on top was really yummy. However, the dish was swimming in oil, which was not very appealing to me. My boyfriend ordered the bbq special which came with barbecue chicken breast, roasted corn, cole slaw, and a watermelon slice. He said it was tasty and moist on the inside. My friend ordered the burger, which he said was very tender and juicy. My other friend ordered the hearth fire half chicken, which was most definitely not half of a chicken, more like a quarter of a chicken. But he liked the dish. Overall, a solid place to get dinner with friends with a nice ambiance.

Review 100!Got there right at 7 just as the dinner rush was starting and got a seat at the "chef's counter" aka bar, which was a good move as the place filled up quickly. My friend and I each got the summer sangria - which was so perfect for summer. We split the focaccia and zucchini fries, eggplant, and mushrooms. The whole roasted eggplant was perfectly cooked and complimented really well by the spiced chickpeas and was in tough competition for best dish with the marinaded oyster mushrooms which had a nice kick to them. She got the off-menu ice cream of the day, too, and didn't regret it. The staff was absolutely amazing too. Will be back for sure!

On a cold spring evening I came to 232 Bleecker seeking a vegetable-forward meal. My friend and I got that and so much more. We sat at the chef's counter and everyone on the staff was very nice to us. We each had a glass of Lambrusco and ordered the market trio of vegetables and the sirloin steak to share. It was a perfect place to catch up on all the life that had happened in the two years we'd spent apart. We arrived too early to take advantage of their late-nite deal (available post 9PM): grilled sirloin (or fire roasted eggplant), focaccia, veg, and a glass of wine for $35 but made a mental note for a future visit.232 Bleecker is part of the same restaurant group as Dig (which I love) and it shows in the many seasonal vegetable offerings and the well-executed proteins. This is a perfect spot for a leisurely meal, with a menu that has broad appeal. I'd happily return!

Amazing restaurant! Incredible selection of drinks, appetizers, and entrees. Definitely get a seat at the bar so you can watch the chef do his thing!

Great vibes and helpful staff! The open kitchen is really cool. Lots of gluten free options. The chicken is AMAZING, but other than that found the steak to be okay and the brussel sprouts were under salted. The cocktails weren't my favorite either so I'd stick with wine here. Overall good experience!
Be the first to ReplyVegetables have never tasted so good.
Seriously, the over grilled oyster mushrooms were one of the best things I've ever tasted. Highly recommend any meal include the trio of vegetables. The seats at the chefs table were perfect to watch the dishes come together. While I couldn't eat everything on the menu, I'll be back so I can try the cauliflower in philo dough... the waiter mentioned it is only served on Tuesday.
Be the first to Replythis place was SO GOOD.
very cute vibes in the restaurant, very minimal and seasonal menu, and delicious food. came here for its expertise on vegetable dishes so went for all veggie options! highlights were the entrees (burger and pasta) and the spaghetti squash appetizer. each dish is so well seasoned and unique it really will change your perspective on bland vegetarian food. i will note that most of the dishes are quite strong in flavor with lot of salt but if you're having a drink with your meal would pair wonderfully

cool that this is Dig Inn's sister restaurant!Very cute spot - recommend for a date night or get together with a few friends. You can tell that everything is very freshly prepared and good quality. They are big on using local farmers and what not and have a seasonal menu that seems to be constantly changing, which is more of the reason to go back over and over again! They have an open fire hearth right front and center behind the counter top bar area - its cool to see stuff being cooked on there. We got...- beets kissed by fire coal roasted, grilled beets, black lentils, fried shallots (very earthy tasting)- market trio veggies - daily focaccia (it was a cauliflower/cheese focaccia) - a oyster po boy of some sort- wood grilled whole fish green curry, rice crepes, herb salad- spaghetti cacio e pepe cauliflower, parmesan, lemon- sticky carrot cake pecans, candied ginger- grilled piña colada grilled pineapple, coconut cream, feuilletineI'd say the best things we got were the whole fish and and oyster dish! and i really liked the spaghetti. overall, everything was great. the grilled pina colada dessert... is a must! so juicy wow. and I dont even like pineapple so that says a lot. This restaurant is in a great spot right in the west village, would definitely go back. Side note, I went on a Wednesday night at 630 and by the time I left it was packed, so I would def make a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was excellent.
Our server (wish I remembered his name) was so nice and didn't rush us at all. All the dishes we had were very good but the best was the half chicken, cacio and the sticky carrot cake. If you don't get the carrot cake you are making a huge mistake. This was the best dessert I've ever had? Unbelievable. I would come back just for this. Brussels we're good but not great and focaccia was lovely. Happy hour until 630! Great spot and cozy.

Fantastic veggies, service and ambiance! Never had a sunchoke before but it was prepared incredibly Definitely coming back :)
Be the first to ReplyVery good spot.
I only had a salad and it tasted fresh and good. Everything else that we saw looked good too and they seem to be cooking with quality ingredients. The vibe is great as it's a corner room with lots of windows and an open kitchen. It feels both cozy and lively.

The food here was so yummy--the charred oysters mushrooms are spicy with just the right amount of cancer. As four people we ordered two entrees and four starters, which made us pleasantly full but not so much that we couldn't get slices of pizza later. The veggie burger reminds me of a black bean burger but *elevated.* Would recommend for veggie friends!

We heard great things about this place so we decided to try it out. The main highlight of this restaurant was its friendly staff and great service. It is a cozy, small restaurant that's packed tight, but the open kitchen is a nice touch. The menu is pretty short, but there are a good choice of options. The vegetable appetizer portions were small but each of our pasta entrées were rather large. I feel like they could improve on the presentation of the vegetables, they looked like I plated them in my kitchen at home (no real attention to detail). Definitely recommend the oyster mushroom appetizer and whatever fresh focaccia they have that day. Overall, the food was flavorful and the menu was well thought out.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was a last minute decision.
We wandered in on a Wednesday night and were able to get a table in the back. We were looking for something cozy and light and were attracted to the menu being vegetable forward. Upon arrival, our waiter, Marto, greeted us and quickly dove into the menu. And when I tell you I've never felt more viscerally engaged with a waiter describing food before, I mean I could taste every dish as the words spilled out from behind his mask. He clearly has an intimate knowledge of the menu. Listening to him talk about food was like hearing Robert Frost recite "The Road Less Traveled" over a cup of herbal tea he brewed himself. Like a private performance of "Feeling Good" from Nina Simone tucked away in the back room of a swanky jazz lounge. Like hiking with David Attenborough and stumbling upon a field of lupin where he softly narrates the emergence of a butterfly from its cocoon. Come for the food - stay for the Marto.
Be the first to ReplyI can't say enough positive things about this restaurant.
It's one of those places that while you're eating, you're thinking about the next time you get to come back. I've been there three times now (once in spring, summer, and now fall 2021). Every time I go it's a better experience. The staff are amazing and kind and knowledgable. They are considerate of dietary restrictions. They know the food and can answer all of your questions. The wine and drinks are delicious, but truly the food is the star here. Everything is so fresh and simple. The chefs know how to just celebrate veggies in a way that impresses me to no end. I just recently went for brunch this weekend for the first time, and I asked the waiter if they had the olive oil cake because it wasn't on the menu. He kindly went to the back to see, and got me a piece even though it was off menu. Plus, because everything is seasonally based, you get a totally new menu pretty much every time you go with the best quality food. I just love it so much and can't recommend it enough!
Be the first to ReplyEasiest 5 stars I've ever given.
Getting dinner here is my fall tradition: I love seeing what the chef comes up with. This time around, I had the spaghetti squash and roasted trout. Oh, and the turmeric latte. Easily the best turmeric latte I've ever had, ever. The squash was perfectly seasoned and really encompassed the fall-spices comfort food that I crave during this season. The trout was also great -- the addition of pistachios was an interesting choice that I think worked really well. My partner had the steak, which I also tried and enjoyed. The service here is fantastic. Wait staff is always super kind and engaging, and give great recommendations. The atmosphere overall is just amazing. Relaxed, easygoing, trendy but not in a gimmicky way. The outdoor dining experience is especially nice -- this place is located in a fun, lively area of the West Village.
