Went here for a retirement dinner celebration.
They weren't sure where to seat us even though I made a reservation and they were very short staffed. Took over 30 minutes to be able to order. Food was great and so was the view from our center table but on a Saturday night the service was a bit slow and it wasn't very busy overall.

This is a good spa during the spring and summer to be able to overlook the lake and socialize with the locals. The food is average the service is hit or miss. I would definitely tell you to order any of the seafood plates.
Be the first to ReplyAverage to below average food.
Service marginal. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay. 4 ounces of average wine for $12. Really? You are not that good of a restaurant. Much better options in the area. 4 people. With tip the bill was $208. This is pub food.

This place does not deserve your service! Ambiance and service was okay. I can not stress how bad the food was! You would be better off hitting up A three year old with a play kitchen. The fish was dry. The salt had a little pretzel with it. The octopus was like a trampoline in your mouth. Nachos were burnt. I wouldn't spend money at this establishment.
Be the first to ReplyWe had our wedding here on 11.
4.2023 with 160 people and it was the most incredible venue I could have imagined. It was so beautiful, the food was phenomenal (and chef wonderful to work with), the staff was so friendly, the bartenders were incredible, and everyone was so welcoming and warming, the night was flawless. We had our rehearsal dinner here as well. Jess is the venue coordinator- she is the BEST. She was determined from the beginning to give us everything we wanted for our wedding, and she did everything to make sure the day was perfect. She worked incredibly hard to answer all our questions through the whole process and to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. The venue and Jess are amazing. I highly recommend this venue for any event. They crushed it and our guests are still texting and talking about how beautiful everything was. What a great place, we're itching to get back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, reasonable prices, and the best location.
Tons of room both inside and outside. It's now open winter as well
Be the first to ReplyWhat a difference.
The new owners have done a great job changing the culture and ambiance. The food was also very good. Wait staff and host were all friendly and super accommodating. My favorite was the crab Rangoon nachos.
Be the first to ReplyThe atmosphere is great.
The beef is good. The servers very nice BUT the food stinks
Be the first to ReplyService was good.
Great lakeside spot and a really good Cuban Sandwich. It's a short drive from central Saratoga Springs where the restaurants can get very busy. This is a big restaurant space with a long bar. It was our first visit and we will return for a second meal.

We were looking for a place to grab a drink, maybe have a bite to eat and watch the sunset and had heard 550 waterfront might have a nice view by the water of the sun setting. It was a Monday and the place was hopping. We were able to get a table outside near the water. Pretty comfortable atmosphere and nice looking place. We had a couple of beers and ordered a really tasty appetizer. The beers were the All in IPA and Golden Rule Blonde, which we really enjoyed. I was glad that we could find a place that had a West Coast styled IPA because I like a nice bitter backbone with my IPAs. The tuna nachos had raw sushi grade tuna, fried wontons, ponzu, wasabi mayo, sriracha mayo, sweet soy, and pickled onions. It was very fresh and tasty, we would definitely get it again. The only gripe we had was our server was kind of unattentive with asking me if I wanted another drink. She was just standing nearby for a while while my glass was sitting there empty until I had to get her attention. All in all a fun experience, and relaxing setting.
Be the first to ReplyWaited 35 mins and all we were served was water.
no one checked on us and it was not busy whatsoever. Was really looking forward to this place but i guess not.
Be the first to ReplyThis place has so much potential.
The location is a gold mine and the restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately they have some issues. The acoustics in the restaurant are terrible. You cannot have a conversation with anyone at your table unless you're yelling. The food is just "ok" (it was much better when this was The Lake Local). The service was horrible. This place is being run by a bunch of inexperienced, younger people that are in desperate need of training.

We brought our toddler for Brunch with Santa and loved it! The hostess staff was very friendly and provided crayons and a sheet of paper/ Santa wishlist. The server seemed a little bit overwhelmed, which was understandable because it was so busy in there! The ambiance and holiday decorations were so much fun! We ordered omelettes that came with home fries, which were good, but not extraordinary. The cocktail drink menu looked good and there were some unique options but I didn't order anything from it because I don't drink anymore. Giving 5 stars because we appreciate places that go the extra mile to make it children friendly.

Great bar and space with view of the lake and outside fire pits. Food is OK with a limited menu but most go for drinks

So yummy and the view is amazing! I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family, but be prepared to wait a bit to be seated.
Be the first to ReplyCan't beat sitting outside overlooking the lake.
Great location, Great service, Great food.
Be the first to ReplyI'm giving three stars only for the excellent service.
Wish I could recall our server's name but she was absolutely lovely and efficient and if not for her it would be a one star review. We arrived early for our reservation but we're immediately seated at a nice table right on rim by the water. The place is loud and bright but that's okay; it's a very pretty place. The food is awful. We ordered the hummus plate which was okay. Three of us ordered the swordfish tacos and one ordered the chicken on naan and a French onion soup. The French onion soup has a strange flavor to it and is not good. The swordfish tacos with one tiny piece of fish in two tacos was sent back, all three orders, as one bite into it screamed bad fish to the point it had to be spit out :(. Our server was apologetic, and didn't appear too surprised- we substituted the bad tacos with an order of a Mac and cheese side, a salad ( drowning in dressing) and a carnitas taco order. Prices are reasonable but again $100 for four for dinners you just can't really eat is pretty disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyHad Sunday brunch here.
Lovely place to sit outside, but annoying yellow jackets hassling us. Two people at my table had the brisket bowls and said the beef was grisly and inedible. My chicken and waffles were good, but with bones in. Bloody Mary's were just reg.Usually, when you tell waitress there is something wrong with the food they make some adjustment to the bill. NothingNot worth it, eventhough it's a beautiful place.

We were in the private room for a wedding and had such a fabulous time! The food was the best, I finished ever piece of my filet mignon and cleaned the plate, I was was very delighted with the food! The cocktails were awesome, and the service was good, could've used some more waters on the tables. The view at 550 Waterfront during the day and at night were both stunning! I would totally check this place out again!
Be the first to ReplyThe location is beautiful, but the food is a total rip off.
I ordered the fish tacos for $17, and got two tacos with cold tortillas and four slivers (yes, slivers) of fish.
Be the first to ReplyWhen we received service from our waitress it was great.
Everything else was not great. We had reservations for 2 and waited a little past our time but had 5 couples come in after us and be seated.Techno music was loud and felt like we were at the club. Not really what we were expecting.Food was decent except, I had a side that came out refrigerator cold. And one of our desserts (to go) came with ice cream which melted on the pie before we got home. Most restaurants will separate the ice cream in its own dish.Overall not awesome and probably will not go back. If it wasn't for our waitress during a busy time this would have been 1 star. The wait staff was very nice.
Be the first to ReplyYou're paying for the scenery, not quality food.
$13 for cheap bagged tortilla chips with about 4 tablespoons of salsa and 4 tablespoons of guacamole, disappointing. Fish tacos and shrimp tacos were underwhelming; a "side" of cole slaw equated to about 3 bites. Our server was fantastic, but hostess acted as if we were bothering her. Very disappointed experience after looking forward to going there for so long. Sorry, don't like to give bad reviews, but maybe it will help to improve the quality. View is gorgeous and remodel is beautiful. Next time I will skip the meal, and just enjoy the view from an Adirondack chair.
Be the first to ReplyI was not impressed with the food.
My "smash burger" which was not a true smash burger, but actually a pressed thick burger was rather pedestrian. The bun was dry and crumbly. The beef patty was cooked properly but it lacked any beefy flavor. The fries, like my burger, arrived lukewarm and they were wholly mediocre. Though appropriately salty, they were floppy, pale, and bland. By the way, if you want to experience a great smash burger, hit up Shake Shack at The Track. I digress. My daughter's chicken Caesar was average at best. Typical chopped romaine with a barely warm sliced breast that tasted processed. The dressing was thin, which is fine, but it was overly salty. My wife's crab cake was probably the best of the three dishes. The crab cake was served piping hot, with a spicy mango habanero sauce that was tasty. But, the cake was obviously made from canned crab. One beer, one glass of wine, a burger, crab cake appetizer, and the salad after tax and 20% tip came to a whopping $92. That's one expensive lunch. Had the food been better, the nearly hundred dollar lunch would've been acceptable. Considering how mind numbingly average our meal was, I felt robbed, whilst visions of tourist traps danced in my head.

Often try to come back to this restaurant but the wait is generally too long, and they do not take any reservations. Decided to wait tonight and the wait was about an hour, as they predicted. So they are pretty accurate . You can have a drink or appetizer while sitting in the lounge area or Adirondack chairs , which we did. Wait staff are friendly and attentive. There are two large indoor dining areas, an indoor and outdoor bar and a tiki bar. As well as a couple of very large outdoor decks. The view of the lake is fabulous and so enjoyable. Food is tasty and menu has some good options for vegetarians . The restaurant is supper busy. Negatives: They do not clear away dirty glasses/ bottles and food in lounge area, there could be more GUAC / salsa for the amount of chips they provide and the music is very loud and kind of " club like", pounding . But it's a fun vibe. The view alone makes for a spectacular setting/ experience. There is parking.
Be the first to ReplyGreat location and space, aight food.
As if a Panera chef started a restaurant and hired a track and field team to work there. If I was on the rowing team I would definitely ask for an application. Drinks are pretty good and the hosts are friendly as well. Everyone wears booty shorts.
