84 Yesler Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
Always amazing!
Yesler 84 never fails to deliver - we live on the East Coast, and we dine here annually when we visit the Emerald City. I'm a creature of habit - I always order the papardelle with fresh herbs and dungeness crab: two almost translucent ribbons of fresh pasta enclose the herbs and the lemon infused sauce is utter nirvana. We weren't that hungry, so we shared two other small plates, the grilled romaine salad with bacon, preserved egg yolks, & Parmesan, and the grilled octopus with white asparagus. Dessert was a deconstructed Pavlova with a citrus yogurt cream. Service is impeccable, and the owner who always says goodbye at the door is totally adorable. I cannot say enough nice things about this wonderful restaurant! Definitely make a reservation and be prepared for the experience of a lifetime.
Excellent Restaurant
Excellent Steak Tatare and local wine. Very good service. Very lucky chance visit late in the evening. Hazelnut chocolate finished the evening nicely.
Excellent food and service
Ambiance: The restaurant is modern with an open kitchen and very inviting, so is the bar area. Overall a nice place with tables spaced out to dine and enjoy an evening. It was also not loud like so many other restaurants, so carrying a conversation was great. Yes, this place is great for business meetings, too. Food: Everything I tried was excellent. The grilled octopus was perfectly charred and the sauce with ikura and asparagus complemented the protein well. The scallops in the main dish were perfectly cooked. And even though I do not like hazelnuts that much, I really enjoyed the dish. Small quibble: scallops were not quite as hot as I had hoped. The apple case for dessert was good, but I had higher expectations after I saw the citrus pavlova that was just stunning and delicious. Service: Wow! I think, so far, best service I have had in the PNW. Servers were there when you needed them and otherwise invisible. Clearing the tables (and cleaning up spots) was done at the right time. Placement of cutlery was just where it should be. A new standard (move over Canlis, time to retire)! Prices were reasonable (wine prices a little on the high side, tho). Overall an excellent discovery. Thanks for the nice evening, I will be back!
An elegant find in Pioneer Square
I came across this place by pure chance, and was intrigued by the unanimously positive reviews. With that, as soon as the opportunity came up, I had to check it out, and this place quite lived up to its high praise. From the elegant space with a large open kitchen and open brick walls, to the beautiful and delicious food (both the lobster tajarin and the citrus pavlova were exquisite), to the excellence service, it was all a 5 out of 5 experience.
Surprise Restaurant Find
My wife and I just happened to be in downtown Seattle on Valentine’s Day. At the last minute we decided to try 84 Yesler. We were greeted as we entered by ‘very personable’ Sam the owner and despite being busy they were able to seat us. The food was fabulous and the service was superb. A perfect ending to our Valentines Day! We’ll go back again.
Outstanding in every respect
This is definitely one of the top restaurants in Seattle. The pasta's were excellent as were the parmesan churros and focaccia. Fairly prices winelist and great warm attentive service. In the old town, but worth a visit.
Beautiful 6 Course New Years Eve
The six course meal on New Years Eve was amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant and the wonderful courses. From lobster gnocchi to beef short ribs. The chef and staff did a wonderful job.
100% recommended
Ordered the smoked octopus, pasta with lobster and apple pie. It was amazing. 100% recommended. Great service, awesome place.
A Special Dining Experience
We selected 84 Yesler for their multi-course tasting menu paired with fine wines. And the fact that they had an open kitchen - which we always appreciate watching. 84 Yesler is a fine dining restaurant with attention to high-end, French-influenced cuisine and personal table-side service. There was opportunity to interact some of the chefs and the executive chef even made a stop at our table to visit. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and shared great information about each dish and accompanying wine. A very satisfying dining event we'll remember for a long time. NOTE: The only slight disappointment was the allowance of very casual dress (sleeveless T-shirts and trucker caps) in the establishment. Yes, "casual" is the default these days and Seattle is infamous for "do your own thing," but for the high-end dining setting 84 Yesler proports to be, I expected a little higher standard.
Exceeded expecttions
This restaurant was recommended to us and it exceeded expectations. Very well spaced tables and a nice atmosphere. It was not too busy late on week night so minimal noise level. The menu changes frequently. The food is really high quality and well prepared. Very interesting taste profiles. Every dish was a hit. Compact but excellent wine list with very reasonable prices. Service levels are very high. Great overall experience.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
