I loved my experience at A Pasta Bar!!! I reserved a table through Resy - it's a pretty small spot inside but the interior decor is great and the service was really good too! There are many different options to choose on the menu. As a vegetarian, I had to try the Burrata as the appetizer, and I was not disappointed. The charred pineapple along with the nuts given on the side added such complexity of flavor to the dish with all the different textures going on too - easily one of the best Burrata dishes I have had!! I think they change the menu frequently so the Burrata components may not be the same now, but I still highly recommend! For the main dishes, we ordered the Tagliatella Al Tartufo Nero and the Raviolo Ripieno. I LOVED the Tagliatella so much - the creamy fondue with the abundance of truffles created such an elegant dish. The plating was also done wonderfully!! The Raviolo Ripieno was basically one big ravioli with a runny egg yolk inside as well as the filling, and it was pretty good too. Lastly, the Tiramisu was very tasty and plated so nicely too. A Pasta Bar was so decadent and delicious, will definitely want to make another trip here!!
Be the first to ReplyA hidden gem in the heart of WV.
All around delicious! Ordered the wagyu tartar (the best I've ever had), mezzi rigatoni al ragu, cacio e pepe, tagliolini al ragu bianco & spaghetti alle vongole. Some of the best pasta I've had in the city. Everything was super fresh and made right in front of us (we sat at the bar). Stand out of the night was the wagyu tartar, spaghetti alle vongole & cacio e pepe. Highly recommend! It's my mission to try every single one of their pastas!

Came here after seeing an IG story about a place for an omakase like pasta tasting and A Pasta Bar did not disappoint at all! The pasta tasting is good for two and allows you to share a handful of plates from their menu. Every dish was absolutely amazing, and while it's a bit pricey, I'd say it's worth trying for anyone coming here for the first time! No negatives to report and will definitely be coming back here for more! Also, just a tip: sit at the bar for the best experience of the pasta tasting
Be the first to ReplyThis place was cool.
It was something I walked by and really wanted to try. The food was good, but it was expensive for what it was. A bowl of pasta was in the $30 range and it didn't blow my mind. I was expecting pasta as I'd find it in Italy, and I was disappointed. It was also extremely loud, my friend and I weren't really able to chat. The staff were nice, the manager came over and talked to us for a while. Our server was sweet and the hostess was really awesome with confirming our res and getting us seated asap. While the open kitchen concept seems cool, in reality the staff seem unhappy. It's almost awkward. They glance and smile, but nobody seems to be enjoying the experience. I'd say if you're really excited about this place and don't mind dropping a good chunk on dinner, check it out. Otherwise skip it, you'll find better pasta at Eataly.

This place is so freaking cute I absolutely loved it! The space is so well planned with the pasta bar in the middle and the seats around over looking all the chefs. Make sure to get a seat at the bar for a real show! We ordered the egg yolk ravioli, the vegan mafalda, and the fig salad and a glass of Gavi. They gave us some bread and olive oil and the oil was sooo delicious you can tell they care about quality. The raviolo was the star of the show I will come back strictly for this!! So so so delicious. The egg yolk was perfectly runny and the truffle was a perfect addition. Perfectly balanced, not heavy as you'd expect and it seems like a small portion but it's perfectly satisfying. The fig salad was delicious but I'd next time request without the dressing and add something a little acidic like a vinegar instead I think that was missing. The Mafalda felt like a minestrone soup sauce it was good but not my favorite. Still, I'd come back and try other dishes and or course get the raviolo again. Perfection!

Visited the A pasta bar in the soho district and it was a great experience. We made our reservation over resy and chose indoor table (chef table was the other indoor option.) for the three of us, we got the seafood pasta, truffle pasta, and the tagionli pasta. I would say truffle pasta was the best and should not be missed. The seafood one was decent, but slight salty. We also got the the mimosa and were heavenly! The service was great and attentive, and the ambience was trendy soho. It's really a great place for lunch/brunch pasta. However, even for soho, the price was pretty hefty, but definitely worth to try at least once!
Be the first to ReplyBy far the most delicious pasta I had on my trip to NYC.
I will definitely be returning every time I'm in the city. This spot offers the perfect ambiance and amazing customer service. It was my first time visiting but I immediately felt like I had been there many times before. If you love Italian food be sure to stop by here. You will not regret it!
Be the first to ReplyService was excellent and so were the drinks.
We ordered the fried pizza and we couldn't believe how tasty it was. I would go back just to eat it again. We also ordered the truffle tagliatelle and it was delicious.

Came here on a whim for dinner with a few friends - did not regret it! The staff were super friendly, seating me early since i arrived before my friends did. Amazing ambiance - felt hip and was packed. The food was really good. I think Italian food is tricky to do really well and these guys nailed it. Their outdoor seating also looked really cute too :)

I absolutely loved my entire dining experience here at this restaurant. I came with two friends for dinner and we made a reservation for outdoor dining in one of the glass houses. We ordered the Fig Salad as the appetizer; and the Cacio e Pepe, the Caramelle, and the Spaghetti Neri Alle Vongole as the entrees. The Fig Salad was absolutely delicious. The Cacio e Pepe was definitely my favorite and apparently the most popular dish at the restaurant. I also really loved the customer service as the waiters were very attentive and gave wonderful wine recommendations that paired well with each dish. I would highly recommend coming here for the wonderful food, service, and ambience.

The sanitation isn't great flies and bathroom dirty! But the staff and food is incredible. Got the cucumber salad - clean and good. The truffle ravioli pasta was small but incredibly flavorful. Will be back to try more pasta dishes as that was amazing!

I have no idea why these guys rebranded themselves as the generic "A Pasta Bar" when Sola was so much more memorable, but thankfully that's the only thing about them that's changed. The pasta is still the same rich, creamy, al dente morsels of joy I remember. We came for the current tasting menu and gorged on:- Rigatoni All'arrabbiata: Nice kick and garlic essence- Tagliatella Al Tartufo Nero: So creamy, it should be a sin to eat. Too creamy, actually--this was my least favorite- Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe: The chewiest, most al dente noodles you can imagine--I was prepared for this to be blah (it's cacio e pepe, after all), but it was a surprise hit- Caramelle: The most unique dish of the bunch. Candy-shaped ravioli stuffed with zucchini, ricotta and mint- Spaghetti Neri Alle Vongole: My personal favorite because who the eff doesn't love squid ink pasta and also the clam brine was perfectly infused into every aspect of the dishIt's worth noting that the $105 tasting menu feeds two people, so each person is actually paying $52.50. For a Manhattan restaurant, that's practically free!Sweets-wise, both the Ricotta and Cheesecake are rich yet light. The cheesecake in particular was more like a mousse than the typical cheesecake. For drinks, try the El Nino for something fruity/tropical, or the Liquid Spirit for something stronger.Service was Michelin star quality without ever feeling fake or forced. Seriously, the folks at some starred restaurant could take a page out of the staff here. We constantly felt like VIP guests--hmmm, maybe that's why we had the best seats in the house?

It's been almost a year since I've been here and I still think about this pasta regularly. My boyfriend and I were lucky and were able to snag bar seats to watch the amazing staff cook our meals in their open kitchen. The cocktails were amazing and well rounded. We ordered the tasting menu of the five pasta dishes picked by the chef and were impressed by all of them. I'm a vegetarian and there was only one pasta dish I couldn't eat out of those five. I remember loving the cacio e Pepe and my boyfriend loves the seafood pasta that I did not try. Can't wait to go back!

I almost don't want to post this review to keep it a secret! So incredibly delicious - it might be the best pasta I've had in nyc. The chefs table makes an already enjoyable experience even better - make sure to get the pasta sampler your first time to take advantage of everything they have to offer. Then go back - again and again! I am.

When you Google "A Pasta Bar", you will see the following after their name: Simplicity, Mastery and Passion. Very fitting! If you want to dine in a vibrant and exciting atmosphere, dine indoors at one of the tables or the kitchen counter. It's especially interesting to be able to see the central kitchen at work, turning out the tasty creations. If you want to dine somewhat privately, reserve one of their awesome villettas. While their menu is relatively simple/small, the dishes are not. Every item ordered was a visual and tasty adventure!

We came with a party of 6 for a celebration and everyone was so happy with their meal. The apps were great def get the cheese board.

Very delicious and innovative pasta place! The raviolo was extremely good, with black truffle on top, egg yolk in the middle, and when you cut the raviolo the egg yolk just flowed out. The fig salad had a very balanced taste, a bit of sweet from the fig, salty from the prosciutto, and sour from the yogurt sauce. The bubble outdoor seating was well decorated. Servers were very helpful as well.

The ambience in here is very typical of the neighborhood - pretty, young crowd grabbing dinner and drinks before a night out. I loved the concept in here; an open kitchen with a wrap around bar. Sadly, the bar seats were filled so we were seated at a table. They have an option for a 5 course tasting of 5 different pasta dishes picked by the chef for $105. We opted for this since it allowed us to taste different menu items. Our favorites were the Cacio e Pepe and the Spaghetti Neri Alle Vongole. I wasn't a fan of the Caramelle simply because I don't typically like stuffed pastas and the Tagliatella Al Tartufo just felt too heavy and creamy. The Rigatoni was a simple pasta dish with spicy tomato sauce, but nothing extraordinary. After trying the tasting, I would come back and order one pasta dish instead. It was evident that the pasta was cooked fresh to order. Definitely book for bar seating for an intimate date night!

This restaurant has been in my radar for a while! Very convenient and trendy location in Soho. The interior and exterior (cute cottages for outdoor dining) are stylish and add up to a fun vibe dining there. The restaurant played upbeat music without being too loud and not letting you have a conversation. Loved their digital menu that had pictures of all items listed! And food options were very unique and interesting - their menu selection definitely lived up to the restaurant's reputation. We ordered the burrata for appetizer which was impeccable! Probably one of the best burrata I have had. We also got the caramelle and fusiolini for pasta. Even though they looked great, I found them a bit bland in flavor - I would have personally preferred a stronger taste and thats why give them 4/5 stars. Overall very fun and worthy experience!

Great vibes for a Friday night with the ladies - good value ordered the Chefs special for $100 which comes with 5 1/2 plates of the chef's choice of pastas. We ate it amongst 3 people and we were full after some wine Would return
Be the first to ReplyThe worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I made an 8:45pm reservation at 10am for that night, and realized I had to cancel 2 hours later. I was charged $60 and thought that explaining my particular circumstance to the restaurant would result in an understanding that this charge was unreasonable for a same day cancellation before their business hours. Multiple back and forth emails with management left me nowhere and I was still charged. It has tainted my view of the restaurant that they are so strict with a policy that sometimes is unreasonable.
Be the first to ReplyRagu (3/5): standard beef ragu, a bit overpriced.
I liked the texture of the pasta though- had a bit of a bite to it. Rigatoni (3/5): like the Ragu, very standard and a bit overpriced, but the texture of the pasta is really nice. Cacio e pepe (5/5): everyone agreed was the best of the dishes- the sauce is absolutely incredible. Also really enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant. The had music playing and it had a very fun, lively energy.
