Adkt LA Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year

I had food poisoning from this place and this was the response. Thought they would be more apologetic but just a bunch of explanations. SMH
A culinary symphony at Adkt La Restaurant! The live music
A culinary symphony at Adkt La Restaurant! The live music here is simply mesmerizing, adding an extra layer of magic to an already fantastic dining experience. From smooth jazz to soulful tunes, the atmosphere is always alive with music. As for the food, the Wagyu Tartare and Chateaubriand Wagyu Steak are standout dishes, bursting with rich flavors and perfectly cooked. And don't even get me started on their decadent apple crumble - it's pure bliss! If you're looking for a culinary adventure paired with unforgettable live music, this is the place to be.

I came here for the drinks and had a great time but the second time around I changed my thoughts about this place. DO NOT come here for the food. Food is not fresh and it's pricey. One of those places that you can't go hungry because you won't get full without punching a hole in your wallet. My partner and I fell ill the following day after eating there so we suspect it's the seafood. Looks like other one star review also reported this. I'm surprised this place is still open.

Hosted a 50th birthday celebration on Friday with a large group and sadly the ones who consumed their oysters got food poisoning! Spoke to the owner Yosef who was very unapologetic and didn't even care that his customers are sick. Told me to show a doc note stating that we got sick from his oysters. Mind you, we are all healthcare workers. Very disrespectful and will never support this business again. He only offered to give me a free drink. What's a free drink going to do? Place needs a health department inspection.
Not impressed.
Food was good but not what you pay for. Service was really good. For 2 people, 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 main course and 1 dessert came out to be $410 which they include 18% service charge. A few of my friends got food poisoning from eating oysters. Good thing I dodged that and didn't share with them. Apparently from the server, 9% goes to the server and the other 9% goes to the "entertainment" which was a dj which I don't think was a real dj. Looked like she was just playing tracks moving to the beat. So I felt bad for the server and felt obligated to give more since she said she only got 9%.
Came here to celebrate my birthday and we had the greatest
Came here to celebrate my birthday and we had the greatest time. The ambience is perfect for celebrations! They were playing amazing music all night. The fish items on the menu were great and our party really enjoyed the tomahawk steak. I only took off one star because the portions were extremely small for the price point, to the point that we had to re-order items 2 to 4 times with our party of seven. If you're thinking about coming to this place, please do! You'll be in for a good time !
I enjoyed the experience at this restaurant overall very
I enjoyed the experience at this restaurant overall very much for a girls night out, with live music on Wednesday which was fantastic. Cannot say enough good things about the live jazz band, they knocked our socks off and engaged with the tables a bit too. Pros: I enjoyed my drink- I ordered the bisou-bisou and it was not too sweet, had complex flavors, and was high quality. I had the baguette appetizer which was tasty albeit small, and salmon with forbidden rice which was very flavorful and included a surprisingly great curry sauce. For dessert we took the band's recommendation of the apple crisp and absolutely no regrets- it was great. The crumble was quality, apple to crumble ratio was balanced. It was a decent portion to split between 3 people who were pretty full from dinner and drinks. The social media manager was walking around and took a few photos of our group and texted them to us, which was fun! Cons: price. The price of the items we ordered was actually reasonable. But upon receiving the bill we realized we were charged for water (we meant to get tap, but we were offered still or sparkling and when we ordered still, we got fancy bottled still) and they tacked on an automatic mandatory 18% service fee that didn't include tip. That brought the price tag way higher than was reasonable. We also ended up spending over 2.5 hours at the restaurant due to slow service, but we didn't mind that much since the band was so much fun and we were in great company on our girls night out.
Wifey and I saw this restaurant on social media.
After checking out the videos on its Facebook page. We decided to give it a try. We were sold on dinner and jazz. After calling the restaurant. They recommended making reservations via open table. Jazz is on Wednesday nights starting at 8 pm. Valet parking is out front next to loading zone sign. Outside has a speakeasy feel. Once inside. We proceeded upstairs, which was very sensual. Lots of photo opportunities. The restaurant has a very cool, sexy, classy romantical vibe. We were seated with a straight line view of the live entertainment. The entertainment was not exactly what I was expecting when I read jazz. The singer sang a lot of popular r&b, neo soul and some Frank Sinatra songs. So more of a variety of songs. I still enjoyed for a midweek outing with wifey. Perfect for a date night or casual meet-up. I ordered the chicken, which was more like the size of a cornish hen with a small amount of mash potatoes. Although a bit dry, it was good, especially with the aju sauce. Wifey had the lamb chops. She enjoyed her meal. No aju sauce needed. I enjoyed the house special smokey old-fashioned with the table side presentation. Wifey loved her Leche martini. 9 months in business. Just work out the kinks, and this will be the spot. The price for food proportion size is a bit pricey.
Nothing was horrible but this place is definitely not worth
Nothing was horrible but this place is definitely not worth the price. You'd be better off eating out pretty much anywhere else if you want good food. Atmosphere was great and service was ok. Just mediocre and not worth going twice to at all
we were so excited to have our early Valentine's Day dinner
we were so excited to have our early Valentine's Day dinner at AKDT on a Saturday night! i made reservations ahead of time, and we had no problems finding the restaurant. just note: parking is pretty bad bc you either have to get street parking or valet (which i think is like $14-15? could be wrong!!). we got lucky and circled to the street behind the restaurant and found free street parking there and just walked over ~5 min. the inside of the restaurant is gorgeous!! low lighting, retro decor, nice ambient music; perfect for a date night! when we got there ~6:30 and the restaurant wasn't filled up yet which was nice (spoiler: it def got packed later on so make reservations!). our server, Fabio, was kind and helpful in the beginning. we placed our drink orders and then he also recommended that we put in our food orders before the kitchen got slammed, so we did that too. our drinks came out quickly and so did our appetizers, but our entrees took a looooong time to come out and that made us a little upset as we saw other tables who ordered after us get their food before us. also, though he was nice, our server didn't really check up on us at all after putting in our orders, so we weren't able to order another round of drinks or get more water for a loooong while. who did check up on us though? Ronnell! he brought our appetizers out to us and made great conversation with us, and he was the one who ended up getting us more water and just overall adding good vibes to our visit. :) food wise: the food was good here! the french baguette was DELICIOUS with the butter (which was smooth and salty) and the bigeye tuna ribbons were very fresh and yummy too! for main entree my boyfriend had the salmon which he enjoyed but didn't leave him full; i had the filet (chateaubriand) which i must admit was divine. cooked to a perfect medium and was seasoned and sauced amazingly -- would highly recommend it!! the truffle fries were very underwhelming and okay, and the broccolini was standard. drink wise: the sakura was sweet and pleasant and came with a good straw which i loved haha. when i was finally able to order a second drink, i just got a standard margarita which was tasty but also very strong which isn't a bag thing! LOL overall we ended up leaving around 9-9:30pm ish bc of the slow service (we didn't get the dessert menu until much later too so we didn't bother). we enjoyed this restaurant and would love to come back again for a date night, we just hope service will be better that time around. follow @chrystaleats on ig for more reviews/recs!!
Half the menu was not available.
Food was bland and overcooked. Would never go back. The staff was nice. The ambience was pleasant was pretty and clean.
