For the price and from the reputation I would have expected much better...First off, our experience with the restaurant started with a decidedly sour note. I had made reservations to 3 different Michelin star restaurants for our last trip to Barcelona and I did not have any problems with either of the other two. I had made a reservation via email and confirmed credit card details to secure the reservation over the phone. I was assured that our reservation was confirmed. They should have mentioned that they would email you the day of and if you didn't respond your reservation would be cancelled... I assume this restaurant has clientele from all across the globe. Being I was on vacation out of the country I did not receive the email, they claimed they called me but I have no record (I was definitely outside of my service area being from the U.S.). I do not understand what the point is of giving your credit card # to secure a reservation if you also have to verbally or via email confirm again prior to the reservation... the whole point of giving a credit card number is to re-assure you will make the reservation otherwise you will be charged a cancellation fee.So, after waiting in the entryway for probably 10 min we were told our reservation was cancelled because we did not re-confirm (in a very scolding sort of way), but they did say we could sit in this other open section of tables in the back (in a very un-apologetic way like they were doing us a solid). We decided to stay because we had already taken a taxi across town to get there. After our first course we were told that they had another "cancellation" and that we could move tables to the regular reserved area. Super annoying, but we did move. After some time we were told by the same person who had originally told us our reservation was cancelled, I assumed her to be the manager, that we were really lucky because it was the best table like she was doing us a favor and we should be thanking her... not really great customer service for a restaurant where our dinner for two was over 400 euro.The food was good (beautifully presented), not great, nor exceptionally creative from a flavor prospective. I do admit we would have enjoyed our meal a lot more if we didn't have to go through the whole reservation fiasco so that could have tainted our opinion admittedly. Nonetheless, the rest of the wait staff was really nice and professional and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. Also, it was nice being able to see the chefs at work in the kitchen from our table (during the half of the meal we were seating in the main section of the restaurant). All in all we definitely won't be making a return trip to this restaurant, we much preferred the food and the service at the other two restaurants we had booked for the trip.
