😒 3/5 - Disappointing in all ways

This is priced and marketed as a very upscale special occasion steak house. There is cool anti-signage and a speak easy greeting to raise expectations. Sadly, the specialness stops there. As others have said in reviews, they play dumbly loud rock music which destroys the mood and forces everyone to speak louder creating a din. The lights are so dim we needed our phone flashlights - seriously ridiculous. The service feels very college-level and artificial. None of the calm wisdom you want at this price point. I came just for the Beef Wellington and it was very underwhelming. None of the flavor pop that mushroom coating should have and a very very skimpy serving of sauce which was mediocre anyway. The final straw was the worst wine list I’ve ever faced. Wines by the glass averaged for $20. We tried all 6 options before giving up as they were all virtually i drinkable - they weren’t wines you’d pay $9 a bottle for. So I went to the beer list which is worse than most pizza joints in this city. Unforgivably bad curation but ownership. Hate to say it but the larger ownership group in this city beats them at the steak house game in every way.
