We liked Appetit Bistro.
.. a lot. Eating here is a much more positive experience than eating at other eastern Westchester French spots. The service here is great; the servers are super friendly. The appetizer, grilled calamari was a touch too salty, but that's okay.My scallops, and my wife's mussels were Délicieux.Dessert was solid as well; crêpe and tarte tatin were both delicious.

We have been to Appetit bistro several times and have been very satisfied with the dinner. Tonight we were very happy with our appetizers, the mushroom ravioli and beet salad and looking forward to the entrées. One of the dinners, the Chicken Paillard was of a very strange texture and had bland dressing, the other two fish entrées were good but not as outstanding as usual The servers didn't pay very much attention to us at all, for example, we asked for a lime and lemon slices several times. We eventually flagged down one of the three people who are working, and the overall wait almost 20 minutes to simply get a wedge. We requested the check and were only then asked about the satisfaction with our meal and we told the server about the leathery texture of the chicken which was pretty much inedible and he said he would inform the kitchen. This is disappointing since we really do love the place and we're looking forward to another fine meal.

Everything is great there, we both had Hanger Steak and Frites with sauce on side. We ordered a bottle of red wine and dessert after. Our server treated us dessert without charge as he was busy. I would cone to the restaurant again eventually.

Found it by accident and been back at least once a month. Mussels, steak, pork, and chicken are all good choices.

Excelllent tuna tartare, and a nice flaky vegetable/goat cheese tart. The lamb and scallops we ordered had a neat, and classic presentation, and I only wish we had saved some bread to savor more of the jus/sauce that came with!

I had a wonderful dinner during restaurant week! The menu was very appealing and We started off with mushroom ravioli and the grilled calamari salad. The calamari was soft and fresh, really perfectly cooked with a nice avocado and Arugula salad. The mushroom ravioli was rich and just amazing! No cheese inside, just oodles of mushrooms. For entrées, we ordered the duck and the hanger steak with peppercorn sauce The duck was very tasty with a nice wild rice and orange reduction and the steak was so tender with a fabulous peppercorn sauce. Both entrées were absolutely delicious. For dessert, we ordered the Nutella strawberry crêpes and the banana beignets. Both were excellent! This restaurant is open concept and you can watch them cook everything. It's very cozy with a lot of hustle bustle going on.Service was very good and It was a wonderful first time experience there.

Been here on a Saturday night and glad this restaurant had the Restaurant Week Menu for Saturday. We also ordered an order of Foie Gras, just to try it out, and it was AMAZING! The orange duck was fantastic, and the escargot was hearty. The only drawback is the dessert, which was too sweet that it ruined all the elegant tastes from the beginning. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

We tried the restaurant for the first time and enjoyed a restaurant week menu. Overall, the place is good but service is just ok as there's no host to provides a welcoming feel and manage the flow. It's a quiet unassuming location with ample parking. Food choices were good with moderate portions and pricing. The exhaust system needs to be upgraded to help with the fryer smell. Overall, I'm happy to have another local spot to add to our rotation.

It's a very cute French restaurant at an unassuming space in Port Chester. It was quiet at 6:30 pm on Thursday, but the restaurant filled as we enjoyed our time there! We shared a bottle of Cabernet at a reasonable price. For appetizers we got the grilled calamari and the mushroom ravioli - both very well prepared and delicious. The highlight of the meal for me was the chicken paillard - very well-cooked and flavorful as well as a good portion. For dessert we shared the nutella strawberry crepe and banana "beignet" - both really good. Overall, I'm really glad we tried it and the food was the standout of the restaurant. Server was nice, but checked in infrequently and not very attentive. Recommend if you're looking for a French spot in the area!

Edwin was very professional with offering my friend and I a "re-do" second chance dinner, our first experience, did not go smoothly, but this recent dinner, we both have completely changed our opinions of Appetit Bistro ... Highly recommend this new French restaurant... You wont be sorry

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The ambience isn't fancy. It is simple and pleasant. The food is very very very good. The weekday prix fixe tasting menu is a joy. The service is effective and, thankfully, not pompous. The wine list is well chosen and affordable. We've been here twice and will make this a regular haunt!

The 4 course tasting menu is such a great deal and every single dish we were served was so perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The mushroom ravioli appetizer came piping hot and so flavorful we devoured them in seconds. I had the duck a l'orange and my husband had the steak frites and they were both excellent. The duck came with perfectly cooked and tasty rice pilaf and a delicious sauce that is not too sweet. The steak was tender and was served with a savory and flavorful gravy. The fries are skinny, crispy with the perfect amount of salt which is exactly how I like my fries. For dessert I had the banana beignets which wasn't what I was expecting since I thought they would be more like zeppoles but they were sliced bananas with a thin batter coating but it's actually way better. My husband had the crepes and he already ate it all before I could sneak a taste. The service was excellent. This is some of the best food I've had in Westchester. I can't wait to go back.

We had the Hudson restaurant week pre fixe, but the time before was just as good. Authentic French cuisine, a little out of the way gem - our server offered great advice on the wine pairings too. Lovely service- seating inside is more intimate while outside is more casual.

We had the restaurant week menu and each course was delicious. I had mushroom ravioli to start, so good. Then steak frites as my entree cooked to perfection. Desert was banana beignet, decadent! I think my wife's duck dish was the star of the evening, i ate more of it then she. Small charming decor with a open kitchen was fun watching them at full speed when it got busy! Bravo see you again soon!

The food and service are both amazing!!! My favorites dishes are the mushroom ravioli appetizer, steak frites entree, and banana beignets dessert. I don't eat seafood but the friends I've brought here do and they said it's some of the best they've had. Nice wine selection too. The prices are very reasonable. Definitely take advantage of the 4 course prix fixe menu. My only regret is that I didn't discover this place sooner.

...I hope you'll get a bigger space in the future. I adore your menu selection just not a fan of your tiny tables and going home smelling like food. Nevertheless, we will keep coming back to you. Your branzino entree was delicious but your tuna entree (ordered rare) was outrageous. Please make sure you have the chateau d orignac available if you will post it on your board as an after dinner drinks.
