😒 3/5 - One of my least favorite Michelin rated restaurants visited

One of my least favorite Michelin rated restaurants visited so far. I expected a lot for two stars and it certainly was no Jean George or Gabriel Kreuther. The attention to detail and service just wasn't there for me. My fiancé who isn't as much of a foodie as me even mentioned that it just felt like a "regular" restaurant. Not the Michelin quality we so highly anticipated. No black gloves, greetings from the manager, in depth knowledge of menu, bread or dessert carts. Maybe the French have just spoiled me? Simply put, the menu and experience was boring. I was in and out in an hr tops. You spends upwards of $1000 at Michelin restaurants to experience new foods and combinations that make your eyes light up. The food is basically art but this was just food cooked well... The most exciting dish I had was the bird's nest dessert. Flawlessly executed dish but even that was just okay because the concept is popular in NYC restaurants at the moment. I've had versions of it at least three times already elsewhere. This one being the best though, I must say. My favorite bite? the bread. Now that was like no bread I've ever tasted before. It was excellent from taste to texture. Don't get me wrong, the staff was very pleasant and the food was enjoyable. However, if it weren't for the caviar tasting add on, I would've left very disappointed. The whole ordeal was just rushed and lack luster.
