Friendly staff First time in my life I’ve ever tried cactus I had their fritters with duck and wow! Love how there is a local making the tortillas
Best in CDMX
Azul was definitely the best restaurant we dined at during our trip to CDMX. Located in a quiet courtyard off the street, the atmosphere was very nice and calming. If you are a fan of duck, definitely order the buñuelos con pato. Absolutely deliciou
Elevated food
A wonderful experience. We had no reservation and the restaurant was packed but they were able to give us a table near the super kind woman who was making the incredible tortillas. I ordered the buñuelos de pato. My husband ordered the enchiladas
Horrible customer service
We personally walked into the restaurant and made reservations for three. They said it would be 45 minutes. We gave them our phone number and went up to our suite after 45 minutes we went downstairs we were never called at which time they said they w
Great food, cocktails in a romantic courtyard in central Mexico City
This is a fantastic restaurant just 2 blocks from the Zócalo. It's located in the courtyard of a boutique hotel, decorated with trees and lights strung across them. It's magical at night. So is their food. They have a lot of regional s
A taste of Mexico with great ambiance!
This restaurant is in the historical district of district inside an old building with an indoor terrace with large trees. The ambiance is very nice and the service is excellent. The food is delicious - highly recommend!
Just ok
We didn’t enjoy the food but that could just be our taste , we had a very lovely lovely waiter though .He spoke good English but we still received the wrong dish.Beautiful ambience
Very disappointing and underwhelming
Very disappointing meal. Not tasty in the slightest. We were expecting much better but were very disappointed. The staff were not friendly and hurried us. They were robotic. Overall really disappointing and expensive for what we got. Had to go home
Very good choice
Very friendly staff, fantastic margaritas, tired local cuisine that was very well presented and prepared. Space and atmosphere exceptional.
A unique experience
Great food served in a unique way, friendly and fast staff, great location. The aesthetics of the restaurant are the most beautiful we’ve seen in CDMX. Would definitely visit again!
Try guacamole with white ant eggs or crushed grasshoppers...
Recommended by a friend's son who went to school and lives in Mexico City, Azul Historico did not disappoint. Although seated to capacity, the courtyard ambience was still refreshing. Service was generally attentive but spotty at times...probably due
Seriously Dissapointed
The staff: all seemed miserable, no smile, cold as ice. The food: my husband’s mole was so cloying sweet it tasted like Hershey syrup, mine was better but not great. Sangria also overly sweet. Way better food on the street food tour we did last
Yummy, clean food in a gorgeous setting
Deeelicious high- quality food- for both vegetarians and non- vegetarians. The location in a beautiful courtyard covered by a tree canopy is tranquil and unique. Highly recommend their mole negro. Lots of food and cocktail options. We’ll be back!
It didn’t surprise me as expected
Maybe my expectations were too high. Many friends recommended us this place as one of the best spots in CDMX and I’m not going to say that is not, it is. However there are areas where they can improve. 1) Plates are very good, presentation and tast
Go. You’ll enjoy it.
A great restaurant near the heart of Mexico city. Situated in what must be a house from the 17th or 18th century, the restaurant has a great vibe, and great food. The guacamole is fantastic, and the enchiladas con mote poblano were to die for. Rec

Five outta Five for this romantic restaurant in historic setting
Found this named by Travel & Leisure as one of the city's best.... and it was on the main floor of the Downtown Hotel where we stayed. Ate there twice in four days. Romantic setting, low lighting, colonial courtyard atmosphere, CLOTH napkins!, po
Excellent choice for dinner!
Azul Histórico is an attractive restaurant with an interior courtyard where trees form a canopy above you. Candles hang from the branches, creating a beautiful atmosphere. Our food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Juan,
Fast fine dining
Azul Historico was recommended both by our hotel and by our guidebook and having looked at the menu online in advance, we were both looking forward to it. Whilst the food was good, the evening was spoilt by the over speedy service. Our waiter asked
Warning: Tourist Trap!!
Azul Historico attracts hordes of hungry guests day after day for unknown reasons. It's utterly baffling because the food is nearly inedible, the prices are outrageously high, and in January, you freeze under the open sky. We've had several meals in
Delicious dinner
Amazing food and wonderful service in a stunning setting. The chipotle prawns were delicious. A bit more expensive than most restaurants in cdmx but worth it!
Exquiste!
The ambience was anazing. The servers were highly professional. The presentation beautiful. We had the classic guacamole, tortilla soup and enchiladas mole. My only regret is I was so full, I could not enjoy dessert. The tortilla soup really is somet
Don't eat here. Mediocre food at high price. Choose another place for your special occasion!
Don't eat here. The prices are very high; the food is not good. We had a bad tamal and immediately let the sever know. They refused to make it right; it was a long discussion and really gave a sour taste to our evening. We paid $150 USD for a mediocr
Classic Mexican Food!
This is a classic, real Mexican food restuarant. The food is great as is the service. They have a great mezcal menu and the wait staff is very helpful in choosing just the right one. The soup is served in an interesting bowl with a skeleton cover.
The classic mexican restaurant with some epic dishes!
Book ahead! Order the tortilla soup (even if it’s the only thing you do, thank me later). Beautiful restaurant! Will always come back to this space
Cuisine and service superb
I had read about Azul Historico so I expected to walk into a patio. What I did not expect was a full restaurant that looked like all of its customers were not locals. I wondered what it meant that the restaurant lacked obvious locals. I should not h
Delicious mole in a beautiful setting
You first get enchanted by this beautiful inner garden setting, with candle lights hanging from the trees, and a lovely lady busy making tacos. But this is not all: we ordered a ceviche and a turkey mole and it was truly delicious. Not easy to find m
Blue Meal
Azul Historico was referred to me by my hotel concierge. The place looked grand inside, as well as safe as security is at the front and all staff wear masks. However, the quality of the food was masked by the beautiful pottery and service showmansh

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Azul Historico Mexico City at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Azul Historico Mexico City page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation

* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Azul Historico Mexico City!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
