Other than the fact that our hostess who seated us was super friendly and helped us right away, the service was so poor. Got seated and after maybe a few minutes we were ready to other, but it felt as if we were ignored and nobody came to help.We had to wait almost 20 minutes to order, we just got one sangria and a dividida ( half/half paella) in which the server insisted we get an appetizer because the paella could take 40 mins, we didn't want to since the paella said "can feed 2-4 people". Sangria came out quickly, and it wasn't a type of sangria we were used to. We like it more tart and sour, but this sangria was just straight liquor, no real tart fruitiness to it, pretty let down. Paella came out and this, was the blandest paella we had. Trader Joe's frozen paella had more taste than this. There wasn't even salted. Both paella's rice had 0 seasoning on it. The squid ink rice just tasted like plain congee, while the seafood other than the shrimp was tasteless. The shrimp had a decent char smokey flavor to it, but that's about it. The lechon was decent but again, no seasoning. It was just flavored by the pork drippings, but there was no real flavor profile to it. So disappointed, especially since we're dropping $70 for paella in which it barely fed the two of us when it says "feeds 2-4" Really disappointed The ambiance was alright, dim lighting and it made it feel kind of intimate but couldn't really take nice pictures unless adjusted with settings. Overall we won't be coming back here not only because service was so slow, but the paella (what they're supposedly known for?) was completely bland. At least it was edible since we were hungry but we'd rather just go elsewhere.
