Everything was great except the aperitif, a shame, a bad start that was fortunately made up for by the rest.
Very good reception! Cozy interior. Friendly staff and perfect service. Had a 5 course menu and was very satisfied with the quality of the dishes Appropriate wines well explained by the sommelier. Too bad about that one downside: 27 and 28 euros (rosé champagne) for a glass of champagne almost without bubbles with the aperitif. Tip: as a classy restaurant, don't let that get to you.
Culinary excellence
We went to dinner in the evening the first day after receiving their star, I must say it was delicious. These people work with passion and love for the profession. A star? Well deserved.
A total experience
Not just a culinary experience, but all other important and less important details were top notch, a total experience, I speak for the entire group. The wines, the non-alcoholic formula, all dishes, the service, arrival and departure, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail! K would just go back.
Totally uncommercial and overpriced
In the past I had lunch and dinner several times in this restaurant, which used to be known as bistro Julien. I was always very satisfied. Now the restaurant is Julien. What a change! Went for a business lunch so you are limited in time. My business associate booked this restaurant taking into account our good experiences in the past, unaware of the changes in the menu, etc. You want to order a main course after your aperitif and you are already informed that you are required to take a starter. I already don't think this is possible. Crab as a starter, expensive and minuscule. Ris de veau as a main course. Way too salty and with a price of 78 not exactly a bargain! If it was perfect, no problem. What to do with an older person who only wants to eat a main course? So apparently this is no longer possible?? Flanders is full of good restaurants, but this has now been removed from my list!! Keep up the good work and don't forget that the customer is king, not the manager!!
Top experience
Figuratively blown away by the high quality of the dishes. Both the menu and the card seemed very interesting in terms of offerings. If this level continues, this will become a traveling star in the guides. The matching non-alcoholic arrangement was very tasty but just a little too much of about the same. You could also have a homemade juice with it. Nevertheless, very high score.

Cozy and warm interior with a view of the kitchen. A very skilled and friendly sommelier, the wines were very tasty! Champagne was delicious too! Extensive choice of cheeses for dessert The extensive menu was exquisite! The scallop with smoked eel was great! Very well presented plates, beautiful flavours It was on our to-do list and we were absolutely not disappointed. Star worthy + the customer contact is a nice extra. The chef came around the tables again, friendly hostess. In apple pie order!

Where is that Michelin star?
No, it really cannot be long before Julien is awarded a Michelin star. If it were up to Captain Critic (which would actually be a good idea), they would already have that star. Refined flavors, neat presentation and a perfect mix of classic and contemporary. Highlights include the Church Bay lobster with cappellini and varieties of zucchini; the Ibérico suckling pig with polenta and a beetroot vinaigrette; and the Basque duck served with Australian winter truffle and a terrine of celeriac and duck liver. we recently had lunch at Julien's and enjoyed a fantastic meal! Congratulations for the attentive service, the competent sommelier and especially the quality of the kitchen, which in our opinion is worthy of Michelin star(s) and in addition, the offer earned accompanying non-alcoholic drinks with the different courses (we ate à la carte) an extra feather in the cap of the sommelier (as opposed to drinking “boring” water all the time) definitely see you again

I have visited this restaurant many times since the beginning and the Evolution (which I explicitly write with a capital letter here) is undeniable. The chef and his brigade now present such gems on the plates that you wonder why he currently earns “only” 15.5 at Gault&Millau… They have also realized that this 'next level' level in terms of food also deserves an adapted wine experience at the same level; Finally there is a sommelier who presents exquisite wines to match the delicious flavors of the various dishes. Yes, here they are really ready for their star in the Michelin guide. I wish them the best; A team of young people work hard here who give the best of themselves every day. In any case, they are prepared for their star status because the current prices are already at star level... Count on €200/person, but then you will have an extraordinary experience in a pleasant setting. You will be happy to come back here!

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
