Blue Ribbon Brasserie New York Reviews from The Last Year

Ambiance is always low key and chill no matter how packed this place gets the vibe is always chill and never rushed.. as many places in city are crammed this one is no exception. After being say in between two dinner parties along the benches we felt smothered and opted for seats at the bar. Ofc, the chicken is worth it all. Its almost a crime to eat here and not have the crispy seasoned to perfection chicken drizzled with hot honey!!! 10/10 recommend! Enjoy
Nice atmosphere restaurant in soho.
Booked last minute on weekday can only get table for 2 at 5:45 indoor (plenty free tables time slot for outdoor but not see anyone sit there) arrived on time was sat immediately. Staffs mostly good but some better than others. Tried the special baked clams (ordered twice) ginger carrot soup both are goods. Other dishes like shrimp spinach all tastes well. Had a couple rounds of cocktails all delicious!! Ppl started filling up after 6:30 but place not completely full. Got the bread pudding for dessert. Price wise not bad at all. Will come back when in town to try other dishes!

We stumbled upon this little gem just walking around on a Sunday night. We sat at the bar and ordered food which was delish! The bartender was so friendly and recommended the fondue, OMG! So happy he did. Small place but a great vibe. We be back for sure!

I have a weird schedule which leaves me ravenously hungry at approximately 9:15 PM on Tuesday and Thursday nights. After doing some research, I found that Blue Ribbon had a reputation for serving insanely good food at an hour when most are getting ready for bed. The menu is impressive as it is eclectic, and it can form the basis of a nightcap or a total blowout celebratory meal. Though this is a restaurant that will be visited again, my buddy and I ate here as if we would never return (in the most respectful way possible) and we had a great time. I especially enjoyed the skate, butternut squash soup, and the duck club.
5 stars in my book.
Great food, prompt service and nice ambiance - there is nothing to complain about
Can't believe we've never been here before.
Clubby, scene-y, still has some of that 80's feel of decadent excess. The room is pretty bare bones, but the people bring the glamour. Is that someone famous at the next table? It probably is. Or maybe they just have a lot of money. You will need it to eat here. My husband was shocked by the price of the ribeye with it's add-on, anchovy butter (and that is ala carte, mind you - delicious spinach and fries were separate). We started with the seafood plateau, which was one of the freshest and best I have ever had. Very professional service. We will be back when we are flush.
Does not disappoint.
Great service and food. The room has great energy and a classic feeling. The food is elevated from the norm so expect bright flavors and clever combinations. It's a good night out.

The very best - a casual yet incredible place that feels like you're going home to family. The service is excellent and food is exquisite. Ambiance is top-notch. Can't wait to eat here every time I land in NYC.
Loved the atmosphere and staff, we were celebrating
Loved the atmosphere and staff, we were celebrating something big and we felt very comfortable. They have a shrimp and fried green-veggie appetizer (yep, I forgot the name of the veggie), we inhaled it and should have ordered two more. Desserts were excellent - huge shout out to the "Bruno" dessert. One major problem that isn't their fault at all: We ate at Sylvia's in Harlem the day prior, and their greens have a different taste/texture, with other-worldly fried chicken. Sylvia's chicken was a bit juicier, with crispy tasty skin; the greens were sweet and boiled until really limp. Blue Ribbon's chicken breading was thick (which I prefer), but a little drier than Sylvia's. Tasted great, but not as flavorful. The greens were a bit too different - stiff and a bit bitter.

We enjoyed a nice dinner here on Saturday night with a group of friends. It's fairly small inside and the ambiance is dim without much character. Service was ok. Our waiter was just meh. No really warmth or personality. We ordered a bottle of wine and entrees. I was a bit surprised no bread was served. It seemed everyone enjoyed their entrees. I went with the fried chicken given this is one of the dishes for which they're known. It was VERY good. I would absolutely have it again. We had a really nice time, but this was due to the company and less so the setting. Not sure I'd be so quick to come back, knowing the volume of options locally. But I also wouldn't intentionally avoid as the food was great!
Too Noisy to Enjoy
The restaurant is in a lively neighborhood; lots of young people; lots of small tables inside and out and lots of noise so that we could hardly have a conversation. If you don't mind that, then go. The food is pretty good, not great. There were four of us and we ordered several appetizers: cheese fondue, beef marrow and escargots - good not great. For our mains: paella, rack of lamb, branzino and skate. Good except the paella just ok. The table are so close together that you can barely walk around them to leave. I won't be back. I also thought it was over-priced.
Dinner with my love.
We had an amazing dinner here, as we were visiting Las Vegas to celebrate our retirement. I had the Pork Chop and my husband had the Braised Short Ribs and both meals were wonderful.
Fine good in a fun venue
My friend and I met my New York nephew and his fiancé here, at their suggestion. We had a phenomenal evening g together. EVERYTHING was delicious but the highlight was a wonderfully rich chocolate flourless cake surrounded by three scoops of the best ice cream I’ve ever had (we asked for all chocolate). After filling our appetites with lamb chops, prawns, and other delights, we fortunately shared this dessert. I hate to let incredible food to waste. Service was superb and friendly and we sat for over three hours (no pressure to rush). I will definitely return on my next visit.

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
