Just... WOW!
I don't think I've ever had better sushi anywhere in the world (with exception of Tokyo). I was in a complete shoch how good this place is and what a big selection of fish they have. A must for any sushi lover.

Incredible sushi, friendly staff and a real find for sushi in Soho, NYC. Would highly recommend this gem of a place. Would definitely go back.

Dinner was amazing! I can only have gf pasta, even that was delicious! I would recommend rigatoni with the spicy vodka sauce, and the meatballs.

This place has not disappointed the last two times I hav been here. We went to BRS at 84 Williams Str in downtown NYC. Excellent quality. Fish was as fresh as right from the water. Highly recommend it.

Incredible sushi! I have never eaten sushi like this. The restaurant was set just in Japanese style. Very beautiful, the chefs cook on sight.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent quality! One of the best sushi I have tried this year! Highly recommend it!
The minute one enters the restaurant all the personal screams “welcome” in Japanese. That’s a very welcoming idea! Then the place proceeded to impress me even more with an excellent quality sushi! The waiter said that they usually receive supply from Japan and Scotland. Highly recommend this place. And by the way, I came here on a weekday at 11:30am right when they opened and the place filled up quickly by 12:15pm lunch.

Was visiting NYC from the UK and a friend recommended this place. The food was out of this world, the service was amazing, and the entire experience was so genuine. Best sushi I’ve ever had easily.

Very easy to recognize the best NY restaurants: they survive every financial crisis, every covid, every stupid landlord, every bad Zagat review: they are bullet proof. We love Blue Ribbon Sushi so much that 13 years ago, while pregnant with my daughter, my wife was eating there weekly. She would not have eaten suhsis anywhere else in NYC. Now that we live far from New York, I always pay them a visit when I ma traveling, three times during the last visit. Their sushis, rolls and shashimi have been perfect with the same top quality and freshness for more than 15 years as far as I am concerned

My fiancé and I visited recently and thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Blue Ribbon Sushi! The waiter was very knowledgeable about the sake, which we tried and loved. Incredible sushi in a great atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing. Best sushi I have ever had. The chefs cheer whenever a new customer comes in. We had the blue ribbon chefs platter and they went out of their way to include things we love.

A safe choice is you’re looking for some good quality sushi. It’s not my absolute favorite in the city but it’s certainly very good.

Perfect under every condition! Amazing food, intimate atmosphere, nice music and lighting. All the sushi rolls are very nice but don’t forget to try main courses! Beef and chicken are delicious as well!

One of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to. Our waiter Toshi gave great advice about what to order, we were luck to have him (if possible ask for him at the restaurant). I’ll definitely come back when I visit NY again!
Be the first to ReplyWow - the best japanese restaurant in NYC
This restaurant has the best miso cod - outstanding and out of this world. My wife and I had three portions of just the miso cod. The rest of the menu is also excellent, the sushi is fresh and delicious and the fried rice was also excellent. They have another restaurant on 57th and 8th which is also excellent. Will be back.

I dined at BLUE RIBBON SUSHI BAR & GRILL twice in a week! It’s another business that now has multiple locations since the time I lived in New York City. The fish is still as fresh as ever!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic!
We love this place! We came to NY to celebrate a birthday and made reservations here, because we remembered a wonderful meal 4 years ago. It's not cheap, but the outstanding sushi and considerate staff are worth the price.
Be the first to ReplyGreat but pricey experience
Honestly a bit pricey but for the quality and great service and food it’s truly worth it kind of like the whole of New York. Just be careful of how much you order and don’t go there to fill up or you will spend a horrendous amount of money. It is extremely hard to find and you jus have to look down at every basement because that’s what it is a New York basement turned into one of the best sushi restaurants. It’s literally a hole in the wall. WARNING: if you are tall +6 ish ft duck when you enter and watch where your walking there is not that much space. Chefs are extremely experienced and waiters extremely fast and friendly.

Too quality sushi; excellent service; Great location on Sullivan Street. The sushi and sashimi platter was just excellent. Good wine list to complement the food. I would recommend unreservedly.
Be the first to ReplyGood sushi option
It is a good sushi and sashimi restaurant, with good options. The staff are friendly and the sushi was good. There are plenty options of fish

Great family dinner on Sunday 14th April. We were given a table in the main room. Space is relatively narrow and restaurant was really full (not a negative per se, just stating). We enjoyed a selection of great sushis, with an emphasis of maki rolls. All superbly prepared and fresh. Negi Toro and tatakis (Toro and Hamachi) were a must. In hindsight, I wish we had ventured in the more exotic propositions in the menu. Wine was fairly priced ($60 for a nice PouillyFumé Vieilles vignes; I have seen more expensive fare elsewhere for similar wines elsewhere). Only caveat was the waiting time, which I presume was due to the restaurant being full. Great lively atmosphere and nice counter where you can see chefs preparing platters. Highly recommended.
