Any reference to Indian really should be removed from this weak excuse of a restaurant. When you arrive they ask if you’d like to leave any bags and coats prior to being seated.. only to instantly inform you that they’ll not take any responsibility for any loss or damage.. not a good start and sad to say things just got worse. Ordered a cocktail whilst waiting for my guests to arrive.. good job I did .. some version of an old fashioned. One of the poorest example of this classic I’ve ever had. My guests arrived and promptly agreed .. so it was sent back. The ‘service’ was non existent. Zero attention to customers or their needs. Perfunctory would be a generous description. We ordered an assortment of dishes which were being charged at the same rate as some exceptional Indian restaurants.. e.g about £40 for a main dish Subtle is probably the best way to describe the flavours here.. watered down would be less kind.. and bland would be harsh; but accurate. We actually sent the lamb biryani back as it had a very depressed single piece of lamb bone in it which clearly had been put into solitary confinement for masquerading as a classic world renowned dish. I politely requested the service charge was removed. I paid. We left. The staff really couldn’t care less and when the service is as bad as the food… should I be surprised? Avoid. Take your hard earned coin to a place that isn’t working up to filing for bankruptcy.
