The best Hainanese chicken rice in the world
There are many restaurants in various countries that serve Hainanese chicken rice and Khao Man Gai, but for me, the best in the world is Wen Tong Kee. It's moist and full of flavor, and the chicken, rice, and sauce all live up to expectations, and the chicken soup is also the best. With a bottled sauce souvenir set, you can enjoy a little bit of the atmosphere even after you return home.

Visited the Boon Tong Kee outlet at Beauty World on a a Friday evening. It was reasonably full at 6.00pm plus. Iād ordered a paper wrapped chicken and claypot seafood beancurd and a plate of rice. The rice was presented like a pyramid. The paper wrapped chicken has a sesame fragrance but one piece of chicken was a bit tough, probably a little overcooked. The claypot seafood beancurd was reliably good. I like in particular the gravy. Staff are friendly and service was efficient.

Tasty home cooked food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is famous for its chicken rice but the other dishes are pretty decent too. Service is polite, quick and efficient. Queues likely at peak times.

The rice is nice. But not the chicken and the sauce pour into it. The meat is a bit overcook, sauce is just soya sauce with the aroma of the sesame oil. Should improve their way of wrapping the cutlery (green colour paper, believe to be at least using 80 gm) in a more environmental friendly way that place on the table. Believe it is a wastage as it could not be use as a napkin.

Famous for chicken rice, and they also have a full menu with many other dishes for a complete family meal

The chicken rice is delicious but be prepared to be set back 20 dollars if you order vegetables to make it a balanced meal. Worth the price though!

This is our "go to place" for Chicken Rice. The rice is rich and fragrant, cooked as it should be with chicken fat, so be sure to order it that way rather just just plain steamed rice. The chicken is always freshly cooked, moist, and tender. The fried tofu is delicious, and the gai lan with garlic was yummy. The prices are not cheap as one can find Chicken Rice in a number of hawker stalls but this restaurant has seating in air conditioned and open air areas and has decent service. On this visit we were here for dinner but it would be a good stop on your way to or from a visit to the Bukit Timah Nature Preserve as it is located close to the Beauty World MRT station. There are also a number of other restaurants to try along this strip, so explore!

One of the most iconic food of Singapore, and Boon Tong Kee did not let me down. The ginger accompanied with the fragrant rice and juicy chicken made me wanting for more. I highly recommend any tourist who come to Singapore to give this a try. The atmosphere may not be the best with the occasional faulty aircon and heatwaves but the taste of the food makes up for that.

The chicken is really nice. The was done to perfectness. The tofu with wasabi mayo was a very interesting dish and the tofu was home made. Prices were quite reasonable. Drinks was slightly expensive

This is our default chicken rice place in Singapore, and we have eaten here a couple dozen times. We have brought quite a number of foreign friends to dine at Boon Tong Kee, and all are more than satisfied. Friendly and quick service, gets the following default ordered dishes in front of us right away: chicken rice (white meat boneless breast), baby kaylan (with fried garlic), ground pork on eggplant (tastes excellent, even if you don't really like eggplant - trust me). Add in a lime juice and you are munching on chicken rice deliciousness. Highly recommended!

We were very hungry and thought this will be good because of its reputation. Rice is normal not fragrant and undercooked. Chicken is dry and has a frozen chicken smell. Chilli has a bitter aftertaste. Overpriced, the chicken rice in my neighbourhood taste much better and is only $3, will not come back.
