2.5/5 I am interested in eating, "healthy food," from restaurants and it seems like there is an attempt here, but it definitely left more to be desired. Daily Soup: Far too oily, we don't know what oils restaurants use because they don't post it publicly. If it's vegetable oil or anything ultraprocessed (soybean oil, canola oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, grapeseed oil, etc), I don't want it. If it's olive oil, butter, ghee, avocado oil, macadamia nut oil or coconut oil then publicly state it so we can have awareness. The braised beef was so salty, it was almost inedible. Strange flavors of soy and salt, maybe some vinegar and it just feels a little imbalanced or a little off. Anyway, I am being more critical of this restaurant because it is advertised as healthy and I have high standards considering the increasing levels of disease in America. I cook most meals at home anyway due to dismal health options at restaurants available currently even in Seattle. If the meat is going to be that salty, it just ruins the rest of the meal anyway. Maybe put salt packets or soy sauce on the side as an easily available option. The problem with high salt is that it dehydrates the body, which in turn increases the circulating blood sugar and thus insulin release, inflammation, and potential addition of dangerous visceral fat (linked to organ disease). However, I believe that there is potential here. Maybe today's chef was not on their A-Game. I would try this restaurant one more time in the future to give it another chance.
