We ate here with friends, first we drank a very tasty cocktail then a three-course menu. Very tasty and refined food, good wines in a cozy setting and with prompt service. We will be back.

We were here for my mothers birthday and booked the private room. The food and service were excellent. We all had a lovely evening. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely experience! Everything perfect, food is delicious and ambiance perfect and the lovely lady looking after us Caroline could not do enough for us. Highly recommend for a special evening.
Be the first to ReplyA second visit very disappointing
I'd been to Bresson a little more than a year ago and was highly impressed. This last visit, not so much. On my first visit, I chose the vol-au-vant as a starter and found it exquisite. This time round, the mushroom sauce was so salty as to be unpalatable and the pastry case a bit soggy. This was followed by the bouillabaisse, which tended towards a chowder - far too soupy and again far, far too salty. The rice pudding desert was nice
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favourite Restaurants!
Bresson is one of my favourite restaurants for special occasions with family and friends, there is a great sense of occasion in the main restaurant and the food is always great. Highly recommended ++ We had brunch in their outdoor casual dining area ‘Mermaid’ today. We were strolling past after walking the west pier and were very tempted by the inviting brunch menu. The fully covered annex area is heated and has a very relaxed vibe and we were delighted that our impeccably behaved little pooch was allowed to sit under the table. I had fish cakes with 2 perfectly poached eggs which was delicious and had to honour it with a glass of vino 🍷 we had coffee and shared dessert. Really looking forward to returning again with my Mermaid swimming group for a fancy brunch after sea swim 🧜 ♀️
Be the first to Replybirthday night
Was there on a Saturday night for my birthday and it could not have been better. Loved the table next to the kitchen. The service team was in great controll and was super cool with us being not the easiest. Food was absulutly lovely, tasty and well presented. The breads was fab. To free our table the manager got us moved to a terasse table where we could keep going on. Really enjoyed the night.

I think this meal was probably the best I have had in a long time, if ever. We had the early bird set menu which at €50 for 3 courses is not cheap, but boy was it worth it. Starter, salmon mousse was delicious, main course scallops was sublime, dessert, cheese and crackers was divine. Service was excellent, professional, polite, helpful and efficient despite it being quite busy. I can't wait to go back.

Wow. Not the cheapest restaurant we’ve eaten at but they do say you get what you pay for! The food was extraordinarily good. The meal started with some of the tastiest bread I’ve ever had and the standard didn’t go down from there. A great anniversary treat and I’ll definitely be coming back once I’ve saved up a little! Thank you

Be the first to ReplyFantastic Food
We dined in Bresson on a quiet Thursday evening. It was our second time this year and on both occasions, the food was perfectly presented with excellent service. Although it is expensive, the value is in the quality. Cannot fault it. Thoroughly recommend it for those special occasions....

We were back in Bresson for the first time post Covid for Sunday lunch. It’s a bit pricier than before but we were very well looked after and the food was simply delicious.
Be the first to ReplyOutrageously priced for a local restaurant
We have dined here on many occasions. The food is good, the staff lovely but pricing has just gone ridiculous. They now only operate a fixed menu priced at €70pp for 3 courses. There is no option for 2 courses. This is not a Michelin restaurant but rather a good local fine dining. Their wine list is good but priced with a huge mark up. You will not get out of here for much under €250. Is it worth this? NO! There are far better around if you wish to spend €250. On the weekend night we visited, it was very quiet for the early sitting.

Two of us dined at Bresson last night expecting wonderful food, service and ambience. We weren’t disappointed. In fact, we were so impressed that we can’t wait to get back as soon as possible. Attention to detail, beautiful presentation and wonderful flavours and textures. Amy and Noel our servers are world class. Knowledgable, personable and never “hovering”! Can’t thank them enough for making our night so special.

Food, service, and atmosphere are exceptional. Had the scallops and steak cooked to perfection. Cannot recommend enough
Be the first to ReplyGood But Not Great
For this price, one expects to be "wowed" and unfortunately, that's just not the case. First part of this is that they've put too many people in. This is fine dining, and part of that experience is having a good amount of space. You don't want to be rubbing elbows with the table next to you (especially in the current climate).
The food was good (again, not great). My starter was the best of all dishes, chicken terrine with Fois Gras. This was indeed very good. The venison main was a little tough and the "pie" that it came with was pretty average. To be fair, the red wine jus was to die for. My wife had beetroot start and halibut mains. Both okay. Desserts left a bit to be desired. Really not sure what was going on with the plum & Waldorf salad.
So, all in all, we left fairly satisfied. But at €220 (with only one of us drinking) we should have left feeling blown away.
Top class
This is a top class restaurant with fine dining. It’s expensive but great for an occasion. Great menu choices. Service is excellent and a lovely atmosphere.

You need x3 things to be right when you visit a restaurant - the room, the waiter and the food. Two outta 3 is a fail as the the most important one obviously been the food was not up to scratch. The Tuna starter was small but good, but the main course (the scallops) were from a different era - on a shell with potato mash and a milky/creamy substance that belong more to the pub grub type fare then the french bistro style that is Bresson. Would I go back? No. Why? - simply I can cook the same fare at home as good if not better and that my friend is the new benchmark.

We were looked after so well for our wedding anniversary. The food, setting and service is a cut above. I highly recommend and will continue to return.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service and food for their reputation and price
very disappointed experience. I booked a table for my birthday and expected a fine dining service. Service: no one took the chair for me (lady) and no napkin opened , no one around when I asked for more water, no one serve water at the table and of course no happy birthday message. They had 3 waiters and only 6 tables...but couldn't treat guest special. Food: I have no idea how they managed to be in the Michelin list: it is not French food...and waiter has no idea of the name of the dishes in the menu which they tried to make them sound French. Food is very average and I even had very weird starter (raw mushroom with Japanese style sauce, then brioche with foie gras foam...I had to say it was weirdest combination I have ever eaten...I said it to the waiter at the end and his only reply was "really?" , main was normal with a lot of stuff potato, I did hope dessert would be better....but it was not. Dessert was not as good as my friend's homed dessert at home. Dont know if I am too hard on them, but If I paid that much for my fine dinning....I wanted a stunning food, not average pub food with low standard service

We had a delightful evening at Bresson. I had the tuna and crab starter with steak for main. My wife had chicken for main. All of the food was lovely, but the tuna was an absolute highlight, beautifully balanced flavours between savory and sweet. It was an absolute treat for the senses. The wine list is also excellent.

Considering I only got out for one or two nights in the run up to Christmas, I was glad one of those was at Bresson. I'd never been but had heard good things - the food was delicious and great value for the quality, and at Christmas too. The vegetarian wellington was particularly tasty and I'm not even a vegetarian. The atmosphere was really Christmassy and even with the yellow covid signs, sanitisers and masks everywhere, the staff, especially Ashley, created a very welcoming and safe environment. Look forward to visiting again!
Be the first to ReplyNot a great experience
I have booked for a surprise dinner for my boyfriend and have asked them if they serve birthday cakes or whatever. They said they dont usually have birthday cakes but they could put a birthday candle on the dessert; which they didnt do on the day of our dinner. We were rushed to vacate the seat even though weve just sat down for an hour. I have asked about the request I had upon booking the table ie birthday candles, they just shrug their shoulder. It is not really worth the amount you py for food, not quite the fine dining experience I expected for the price. Definitely not coming back,

The friendly staff makes this spot a winner!
Food is good ( the pate starter was totally delicious & the chicken main course was v good if slightly overcooked).
Nice buzz without being crowded ( outdoor dining terrace was busy on the night we were there but it looked like a cold spot) .
Set menu had options to suit most tastes- fish foul & meat dishes .
Good with allergies. ( thank you for that !)
