My boyfriend and I went for a early dinner then sat at the bar. The bartender was new and it showed. He wasn't very friendly and rude. I don't think k I'll be back .

Listening to the owner on 790am speaking out against the tyranny going on in the restaurants city & the Socialist that runs get city, Nithya Raman, that refuses to help her & other businesses in the city. So much so that insurance companies won't insure her restaurant bc of the crime in the area. This is insane! These criminal politicians need to get the message. I just want this owner to know that you're supported by good ppl. More are waking up to these type of politicians.

I went the day before Valentine's Day, so they were pretty busy and our wait to get a table was reasonable. Space where our table was located at felt a bit cramped but I think that was due to restaurant being full. Once we got seated our server was great. Food/drinks were good and came out quick.
Be the first to ReplyWorst Mexican food in the Valley, by far.
Sharkys down the street tastes better, is run better AND has better margaritas!! Do yourself and the neighborhood a favor, help this dump go out of business and get some better food at the taco truck up the street. Place is run by anti-vax 1%ers

I swung by this spot for a drink! It's a classic restaurant and you can feel it the moment you walk in! The vibes are great! The bar was packed, so we approached the front desk and they hooked us up with a table. We decided to go for two frozen strawberry margaritas and they were delicious! They even brought us some chips and salsa, but I was already stuffed and couldn't give it a try! I'll be back to try their food!

I wanted to take a large group for lunch here because someone in our group had raved about Casa Vega. I walked in as soon as they opened and asked how they can accommodate us. I specified that we didn't need to sit together and we're willing to sit according to their rules when it came to check splitting. The girl at the front said she wasn't sure if she could accommodate us and that she believed that they couldn't do more than 3 check splits per table and she would have to ask the manager. I said perfect we can split up accordingly. I began mentally splitting our group. She came back and said that the manager has started that we were too many people to accommodate. I stated that we didn't have to sit together as a large group. She repeated "my manager said it's too many of you". I clarified with her and asked her that even if they would sit us 2 per table they couldn't accommodate us? She said no. I was so dumbfounded how an established restaurant couldn't accommodate what would be considered a lunch rush. To me it was simply they didn't want to work. The restaurant was empty! It had maybe 5 other people in there. This was so unprofessional and unacceptable. After reading some of the reviews it seems we didn't miss out on much. Managers are apparently rude. Food is average. We will take our money elsewhere.

Went in with a party of 18 seniors which we know is a lot, but we were willing to break our group up into 2/3 people per table to help them accommodate us as we were really excited but unfortunately were immediately turned away and were told by management that they were not willing to work with us because our party was "too big". This was at 11:30AM and it was an EMPTY restaurant. Very disappointed but ended up going to Sharkys in Tarzana which had amazing service, and easily accommodated us.

Dont even bother going with a large group! A party of 17, we were turned away. No joke. They said they couldn't accommodate us! Speechless. So, we all hauled it to Sharkys in Tarzana which is small and there's plenty of people ordering for their lunch rush. We didn't say anything when the manager was already asking how they could help us. We had a wonderful lunch at Sharkys and not at Casa Vega.

Service was great and the food was ok but the tables were dirty (as is restaurant in general); the smell of moldy wet rag and the guacamole stains on the table cloths and napkins were truly off-putting.

Food was not good here, unfortunately this meal lacked freshness and love. I think the refried beans were just heated up from a can.
Be the first to ReplyAverage.
Food average, service average...everything was just average. The chips and salsa came, the salsa was tasteless and the chips stale. I got a strawberry margarita and tasted zero alcohol and for $16, bye. I then ordered the street tacos. The minute I saw the brown lettuce garnishment I should have said no. Nevertheless against my better judgment I tried it. The food was lukewarm at best, chicken average, Al pastor greasy and inedible, carne asada dry. Now regarding service, they were too busy having side convos with one another to wait on me. It was like pulling teeth to get service. It was so bad and awkward I left quickly. If you can't check in and wait properly on guests you're in the wrong field. I've had good experiences here and that is the only reason why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star. But I will no longer be giving this mediocre Mexican restaurant a try. Unfortunately after today's experience, I won't be back.
