Cecconi's City of London Reviews
Reliably good for business lunch so far...
Was there for business lunch, had a table in the corner, not too loud, but the tables did feel slightly too close (only marginally). Menu was wide ranging and good. Ordered what looked like freshly squeezed juice, but when it came, it was in a plasti
Waste of time and money. Unappetising food, slow and unfriendly service (Sunday evening).
Poor service and average food. We booked for a special occasion on Sunday evening and deeply regret it. Drinks / table water took forever, the crackers (what's wrong with bread?) were dry and unappetising. Our main courses came out (an average
Best Dover Sole in London
Truly exceptional meal in sumptuous surroundings. I had the burrata for starter and Dover sole for main with broccoli cooked with garlic and chilli. Can honestly say it was the best Dover Sole I have eaten in London. Highly recommend
Nah not good. Not really any customer service. Unappealing
I was served a cold undercooked pizza. My husband told them โฆ so laughable. They took back the pizza and stuck it under a grill. So the raised crust got burned whilst the base remained cold and gooey. Laughable, as really they should have made a f
Dinner
Fab food and impeccable service from Andre! Thanks very much for a great evening. Highly recommended. Booking advised.
Lovely for a celebration
It's a beautiful building and lovely atmosphere with a live band and people dancing even though it was still early. The waiter "offered" to take the service charge off and then take it cash as though he was doing us a favour. I have no
Lovely service from Jenny & Sufil
Thank you Jenny for squeezing us in without a reservation on a busy night. Thanks to Sufil (sorry if that spelling is wrong) for taking such good care of us.
Make sure you have a booking
Close by yesterday and saw this restaurant on my map and had an hour or so to kill, thought I'd grab some lunch and saw online tables were free so just called in without a booking - told that the tables were all busy even though it was 11.50am a
Laptop ban in a City business hotel and restaurant! Bizarre!!!!!!
I arrived early for a business lunch and quietly used my laptop. Then a waiter came up and said I wasnโt allowed to use the laptop after noon! Last time I use cecconiโs!
A Sunday well spent.
We love this place for the Sunday Feast! We go as a family with 3 children under 11. The food is always fresh & the service is very good. The waiters work very hard. The live bands & singers are amazing. Zap magician is fantastic entertaining
Terrible experience.
Halfway through the meal, the waiters started to get agitated and nervous and hurrying us through the rest of it. My plate was still half full and the inattentive waiter asked if I was finished, whilst reaching for my plate. Outrageous! If he'd
This bank converted dining hall has a unique charm to it.
I ordered the Bucatini Carbonara, but had a few bites of the Cacio & Pepe - both were fire. I had the Gates of Paradise to drink which was light, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. I could've had 5 of these.
I loved every single thing about this experience except: I
I loved every single thing about this experience except: I could absolutely not hear a thing because the band was so overwhelmingly loud. I was at dinner with one person and we gave up on talking halfway through the meal after shouting across the tab
Had 8PM reservations at Cecconi's last night.
Restaurant was pretty empty, asked to sit in a corner booth and the hostess said there was a party of three reserving that spot but no one ever came the entire night we were there (we left around closing). Took them a while to come to our table to ta

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Cecconi's City of London at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Cecconi's City of London page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FamousStation67, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at Cecconi's City of London to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Cecconi's City of London!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
