Fun atmosphere, Food was good but not great
Drinks were all good. Broiled oysters so small that one wondered if they were legally harvested-delicious but skimpy appetizer. Fried oyster appetizer was a well done and regular sized appetizer with lots of good “stuff”. Really good salad with a light dressing. Catfish tacos only so-so; too much coating. Mussels were great, would order again. Brûlée was a nice sized serving, well done - We look forward to returning and trying more dishes
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for a cocktail!
We stopped in for a quick cocktail and dessert on New Year’s Eve, and will return! Our drinks were delicious, and dessert was amazing. Best, though, was the ambiance-cool celebrity photos on the walls, lovely decor, and delightfully friendly staff!
Be the first to ReplyCompletely disregarded my reservation.
A week in advance I made a reservation for a business dinner Monday at 6:30pm. We arrived 10 minutes early. Host immediately found my name in the reservation log, then told me they didn’t have a table, but we could wait at the bar estimating 45 minutes. I stated this is a business dinner so the bar would not work. Host then offered seating at a large community table, and I again stated this is a business dinner so that won’t work. Refused to offer a solution….even refused to seat us at a slightly larger table that was empty….then said they could just “keep us on the list”. Such a disappointing experience….we went elsewhere and were seated immediately. Clearly don’t value their customer service. Would never recommend trying to get a reservation here.

Food is high end and atmosphere is fun and eclectic. Wonderful bar. Highly recommend especially for special evening.

Very nice atmosphere, Great place to get together. BEST lobster Mac & Cheese I ever ate in my life! Menu is not big but what they offer is fabulous. A little on the pricier side but definitely worth it for a special occasion! Will absolutely be back! :-)

If you want to be a high end bar, you have to actually be high end. What Central Reservation is attempting is to create an atmosphere of posh and exclusivity that simply isn't. When your bar is nearly empty and you are asked to "Wait for a table" to create a line outside, and then when you are seated and the bartenders don't even know how to make common cocktails, you will lose customers. Central Reservation needs to decide if they want to be high end with exclusive cocktails and unique dining options or if they want to be a college bar. Right now they are stuck in a limbo that turned us off completely.

Good points: Decor and drink. Disappointment #1: Many items on the menu were unavailable, In particular, not a single desert. Disappointment #2: The steak ($38) was greasy and over-salted. Disappointment #3: The green tea was of a cheap brand, and the water was never boiled.

Nice decor and great location but after three visits, I don’t think I’ll be going back. Very limited and pricy menu. Sangria is $30 for a small pitcher, which was 2/3 ice chips. Garden salad was so skimpy I think I had four bites and it was gone. Oh, and it’s full of students even though word on the street was it would cater to an older crowd. I wanted to love this place, but I’m dreadfully disappointed.

The ambience has a cool vibe. All of the seating is push high chairs and high booths. The menu is small but interesting. The szechuan shrimp and shrimp & grits were both delicious. The haloumi sandwich and fries, and the vegetable gnocci were also very good. Has a nice cocktail menu, though some of the drink options were not available when we were there. The windows were open when we were there, giving a nice open air feel. Would definitely recommend.
