Disappointing Payment Experience Despite Nice Food
We visited Circolo Popolare as a group of 12. The food was nice and the ambience very pleasant, so we were expecting a great overall experience. However, things took a negative turn when it came time to pay the bill. The restaurant pushes customers

Style of substance
If you are a group of young girls wanting to be in an Instagram friendly restaurant this scores 10 out of 10. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely space with a great atmosphere. The only problem was the food. My wife & I ordered the carbo

Wonderful,but near spoilt
Beautiful food, fantastic atmosphere.......shame one of the waiters was so rude. Would appreciate it if one of the management representatives could contact to discuss further as it could have spoilt our family celebrations had we let it
Funky decor but flatters to deceive on the food front
Loved the decor in this buzzing place. Got a small cubicle table for four which was perfect. Food was however a disappointment. Food took ages to arrive and when it did , the Ravioli was stone cold and had to be sent back. At least they didnโt c
Style Over Service โ A Very Disappointing Visit
After hearing such great things about this Italian restaurant, I was really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately it fell very short of expectations. The service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter acted like he couldnโt care less

So so so disappointing - STYLE OVER SUBSTANCE
Dear Circolo Populare Team, I wanted to share some feedback directly rather than posting it on TripAdvisor, however I reached out over a month ago to speak to you directly - but Iโve had no response. We booked a table for four people at 8pm under

New experience and well worth it!
We had a family lunch here on a Friday. WE made a reservation as we always do and when we arrived we were glad we did! The place was three quarters full at 12:30, and alive with the buizz of happy diners. We decided to aim for pasta main courses f
Fancy ambiance but average taste
This is a fine dining restaurant with prices slightly above average. We ordered pizza and ravioli. We customized one of the pizzas with extra toppings, and while we enjoyed it, weโve had better pizzas elsewhere โ thereโs nothing particularly st
Fun place but not worth it!
A popular place but the service was not ok. We had to wait 30 min for drinks. We hade finished our starters when the coctails arrived. The food was good but nothing extra. Fun place, but put your money on another restaurant.

10/10 recommend
Absolutely perfect. I came with friends on Tuesday and the food and atmosphere was great. Busy but not too loud. Food was divine!
Style over substance- for instagram kids
Firstly it is a beautiful dining room and looks very good. Prices are reasonable for London as rely on high table turnover. However, once you have taken the photos, the food is very average. Good size portions and simple cooking. Pasta, pizzas , cold
Stunning room, excellent food
I went with my wife and daughter having previously enjoyed eating at Ave Maria and Gloria. Must say that Circolo Popolare is my favourite of the 3. Really beautiful room. Very tasty food
Just not Good Enough
Disappointing. Really poor service. Just not interested at all. Itโs actually odd because youโre in a beautiful restaurant, in the centre of Manchester, itโs got the wow factor when you walk in (only the downstairs, the upstairs is very dull) s
Great meal / ambience but they try to nickel and dime you
Great tasting food and friendly staff. The setting is beautiful and not far from Covent Garden / Oxford Street. Let down by ridiculous add on charges. 12.5% service fee is fine but then to be asked for gratuity on top and then be charged for paying
Would Not Return

Disappointing birthday experience

Restaurant for the teens on Social Media
I get the hype around this restaurant โ the photos from our visit would look great on our teenagerโs Instagram/tiktok. However, I expected better food for the price we paid. We shared a starter with ham and focaccia, followed by a salad, two diff
Bang average and style over substance.
Have seen so many reviews and videos on social media thought Iโd give this a go with my mum. Booked a table and arrived a few minutes early then had to wait to be seated with no space for my mum to sit herself down. Staff member did tables either
Overpriced and underwhelming
The food was pedestrian. The arrabiata tasted of astringent chilli, the pizza dancing queen was cold, the ragu pappardelle was over salted and the truffle pasta was sickly. The salad was limp. This was some of the worst Italian food I have eaten. We

Hidden gem with good food!
Good food, friendly service and a really cool vibe. Donโt miss their famous carbonara dish. From the outside, it looks unsuspecting, inside itโs a treasure.
At first glance you'll be impressed by the very cool decor
At first glance you'll be impressed by the very cool decor with vaulted ceilings, tall rows of shelving bursting with spirit bottles and the intricately woven vines. There is a very homey ambiance here, strong Mediterranean influence in the boot
WOW
Once you find it and we walked pasted twice you are transported to the Amalfi coast and the ambulance is just amazing. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend. Food was good with big portions, service and drink were the same. Plenty to look at
Overhyped
Definitely a place overhyped by social media. Although the decor of the restaurant was beautiful and the focaccia starter was great, the pasta (the pappardelle al ragu, and the crab tagliarini) was served stuck together in one stodgy lump - it did no

Such an incredible, warm vibe and the group set menu is just wow, wow. Delicious! All of the staff made the group feel so well looked after.
Fantastic decor and lively atmosphere
Circolo Popolare is a real feast for the eyes with its incredible bottle-lined walls and hanging greenery. The food is generous, indulgent and very Italian, and service holds up well even when itโs packed. Family-friendly enough, but really better
