Unethical.
vicious. unscrupulous, dishonorable - I'm trying to think of words that can properly encapsulate the unacceptable behaviors of this "Michelin starred" establishment and the adjectives I listed above cannot adequately denounce the horrendous actions committed by Claude Bosi. Think of someone who might try to push old ladies down stairs and post Instagram pics of the act - and then you're getting close. Think of the guy who beats baby seals to bottle the tears and then you're probably close to the moral compass of this circus act. My wife became ill this morning. I called Claude Bosi to see if I could move, cancel or reschedule and avoid their 165£/pp charge. Unfortunately no one answers the phones there. I called 7 times. Nothing. I leave a voicemail them asking them for assistance. Nothing. Not giving up, I write an email and ask them to call me. Nothing. Suddenly 5 minute after leaving a voicemail I see them cancel my reservation on OpenTable and then charge me for 165£ twice. Luckily I was traveling and my card thought it was fraud and declined the charge. 45 minutes later a charge for 330£. Same declined charge. I call again. Nothing. I left my phone number on both the email and voicemail. They haven't called. It's still 5 minutes before my reservation but they are hell bent on charging me for a reservation that I have yet to cancel -that in both the voicemail and email where I was asking for help to discuss options. Instead they won't even call. They callously cancel a reservation 2 hours while relentlessly attempting to wield a punishment on a customer with a sick family member. If you want to go here, knock yourself out. Don't think they have an ounce of empathy. They'll likely spit in your food or use other bodily fluids to inflict punishment if things go awry. Bon a petit. I hope the Michelin review is reading. If not, I'll spread the love on Google.

A beautiful, delicious, fun dining experience! The ingredients were super fresh, and with just the right amount of decadence (e.g., foie gras, caviar, etc). The service here was also impeccable. Our menu (£185 each) was: 1) Bread 2) Foie gras ice cream - this dish was amazing. Like eating light fluffy clouds of foie 3) French onion soup 4) Bortaga caviar tart 5) Bibendum egg with cucumber compote and toasted sunflower seeds 6) Duck jelly with white onion, smoked sturgeon, and Petrossian Daurenki caviar 7) Cornish turbot à la Grenobloise 8) Brittany rabbit with Scottish langoustine, and French tarragon 9) Rabbit liver tartlet 10) Foie gras (which we ordered as extra), with crème caramel, cumin, and Macvin Japanese pear 11) Sake katsu with anise ice cream 12) 100% Chocolate soufflé cake

I can across this place while on a long walk from downtown to Chelsea/Kensington area. The hosts were gracious. Food was delicious. Building was stunning.

It is a nice little restaurant in the Chelsea neighborhood. I ordered the crab linguine and my husband had the cheese burger. Both was delicious. We washed our wine down with the house white wine. Definitely recommend if you are close by. The staff were very friendly.

First of all: Claude Bosi is the Michelin restaurant on the first floor. Bibendum is the oyster / cocktail bar on the ground floor spilling out into the street. While both are housed in this beautiful, original HQ for Michelin UK, almost all the poor Yelp reviews are directed at the downstairs cocktail bar.It has been a while since I've been to the restaurant (Covid), there does seem to be a few small changes change since winning their 2 stars, five years ago.The decor, food and service are still excellent. But there seems to be a bit more formality. When the restaurant first opened, I remember that the servers didn't even wear ties, "in an effort to encourage new patrons to enjoy fine dining," or some such logic. I guess that didn't work. Also, I am glad to see that they have removed the 1920's Michelin advertisement posters which could only been positively described as, "a bit culturally insensitive."In any case, I will surely return on my next stop in London.2022 04 02. What a beautiful and amazing experience, and we finally tried the famous chocolate Soufflé ! We were so looking to forward to dine at Claude Bosi and it didn't disappoint! Every single courses has been represented beautifully and the staffs are wonderful and friendly. At the end , we got a chance to meet Claude Bosi himself A must try !
Be the first to ReplyReally great experience.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere all set in an idyllic Art Deco space that was the original London headquarters for Michelin. Definitely one of the top dining experiences in London. Four and a half stars. The early bites were more spectacular than the mains.
