Our top pick in Paris
My wife, teenage daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Comice! We all loved our food [daughter is pescatarian]. The owner/sommelier [Etheliya] was extremely welcoming and her wine pairing selections were exceptional, as was the food. The decor is very nice, but not the most striking. Overall, we found it relaxing and very enjoyable. One of the five best dining experiences I've ever had and hands down the best of those we visited on our recent trip.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcome and well cared for. The owner and staff greeted us at the door on this rainy evening took our coats and showed us to our table. The exceptional customer service continued throughout the wonderful meal. The food and wine pairings were delicious and the cauliflower and wine pairing was amazing and the totally changed the taste of the wine. This was the best cauliflower I have ever eaten. The reservations are staggered in such a way that we never felt unattended or rushed.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and we look forward to returning soon! Etheliya Hananova (sommelier/host) and Noam Gedalof (chef) make a great team. From the second guests arrive until the moment they leave, they are treated to exquisite food, beverages and hospitality. Eating here is quite an experience!
Be the first to ReplyA dinner that leaves you hungry
The imposed menu is not really an advantage for the customer! The cuisine is refined and sophisticated. The three (very small) starters bear witness to this and are marked by very precise flavors. The main dish (deer fillet) is very tender and pleasant but should not exceed 80 grams...like the few vegetables that accompany it. Finally, a chocolate soufflé honorably finishes the meal which, without being a big eater at all, leaves you hungry. The price of this 4-course menu is nevertheless very high and the wines offered are expensive.

What an experience. Beautifully presented and incredibly tasting food. Staff was above and beyond - May is so accommodating and gracious. Great dining experience overall and would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyFine dining in a cozy space
Thank you Comice. We had a very nice evening. The food was delicious, the dining room was cozy and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive and the wine pairing faultless and exciting. In fact we really loved the wine and we were excited to drink unusual, distinctive wines from Jura, Sovoie and the Vendée. We had the 5 course (no supplements) with wine pairing. I see someone had previously commented on the restaurant being full of Americans, though there were certainly North Americans in there, I saw it as being filled with discerning people who were seeking a fine dining experience. We certainly didn’t view it as “touristy”. Well earned Michelin star as far as we are concerned.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing Evening
Nice restaurant, food lovingly presented, however not a Michelin Star performance. We experienced the 5-course meal while visiting Paris for the Roland Garros. This was our splurge dinner. The restaurant was small with pleasant atmosphere. Staff were attentive and kudos to the wine steward who was gracious and generous with wine pours. There were a number of disappointments. First, we noted that almost all the diners were American with the exception of a Swiss couple next to us. Not horrible, just suggestive of a tourist spot. The wine list seemed kind of stogy, not very modern or exciting. Again, not a deal breaker, but added little that was special to the dinner. The food was nicely prepared except that it seemed as if everything had been over salted...to the point that we actually crunched kosher salt when chewing. Thinking it was just my dishes, I asked the guests on either side of our table and they all said the same thing (as have other reviewers). The table was also not cleaned between courses as in other 5-star restaurants we've dined, but it was before dessert, a decent chocolate mousse if I recall. Finally, despite messaging the restaurant at the time of reservation - and also when contacted at least twice by the restaurant to re-confirm - they were unaware that my wife doesn't eat fish (especially tartare), one of the set courses. At the restaurant, they offered nothing in exchange for that dish (worth perhaps $35 of the prix fixe) except "vegetables." The "vegetables" turned out to be just the bed of lettuce that accented the fish. Perhaps a cheese plate or special dessert would have been in order? Overall, we ate at fabulous restaurants, bars, and brasseries around Paris for far less. Especially for the price ($300/2 people), the experience at Comice was very disappointing.

This may just be the best restaurant in Paris, words not written lightly. Had the 5course with pairings and simply outstanding, veal was perfect, cheese options were superb, risotto was beyond description.
Be the first to ReplyThe Michelin spot in Paris!
We found Comice to be a lovely dining experience in Paris. We don’t have too much experience with Michelin restaurants (only one other), but thought Paris would be the perfect place to try a new one. We were drawn by the affordable* nature of Comice. We looked at other restaurants that were 2-3x more expensive. Comice was worth every penny. The dishes were creative and very well presented. They were even able to easily assist my wife with her dairy intolerance issue. They couldn’t completely remove 100% of the dairy, but they did their best and along with some Lactaid’s she was perfectly fine. By no means are these restaurants “affordable” but we felt like we got great value and service for our meal at Comice!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent restaurant in every way
This is our second visit to this wonderful restaurant in a lovely residential area of the city. We arrived from the 1st arrondisement so we had a lovely drive along the Seine and Place de La Concorde and the Eiffel Tower. We were greeted by the lovely and personable owner hostess, sommelier, server, and overseer of the dining room. This woman really keeps everything in the dining room going smoothly and she is very helpful. I can’t imagine the number of steps that she takes a night. Last time that we were here there was both a menu and a La carte offering, now it is a 4 or 5 course offering but portions are appropriately sized (though 4 courses are really 7 because there are courgettes, an amuse bouche, and a little sweet after the dessert) but you wouldn’t want to miss any of them because they are so delicious. There are no choices except for some supplements but there are accommodations made for allergies and food restrictions. Everything is cooked interestingly without being too fussy or over the top concoctions just to be different. Next time we are back in Paris we will visit Comice again.

Be the first to ReplyMagical
From the moment one approaches the restaurant and the lovely topiary plants out front come into view, it is clear this will be a gem. The location is wonderful, in a non-touristy and quiet section of Paris, but still close to the central city. The room is gorgeous - elegant, yet warm and rustic, with fabulous lighting and chic linen drapes. The food is amazing. Every bite is fantastic. I highly recommend splurging for the wine pairing and the cheese course. The service is warm and friendly. Comice manages to be fine dining but also lighthearted and relaxed. The food is flawless - complex and creative but yet simple enough to be crave-worthy. I can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect Night In Paris
Let's me start off with the amazing customer service. It was worth every penny spent. From the ambiance to the excellent customer service both by the staff and owner. My family and I absolutely love the restaurant and it was a great way to end our last night in Paris. Five stars can at times be overrated they deserve 10 stars.... the wine pairing, the food and the dessert... delicious. You must visit.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful but sloooow down
From the moment I walked in, I knew I was somewhere special. I was greeted at the door and immediately escorted to my table. The front of the house owner then greeted me. The wait staff is spot on. The food was perfect. But the pace was way too fast. They need to sloooow down and let people breathe & relax between courses. I was literally chewing my last bite of the main course and was looking forward to 1 more bite of their homemade bread & butter when my table was cleared. I couldn’t even say anything. Would recommend with this in mind.
Be the first to ReplyDelightful meal
Such a great experience! The food was inventive and delicious. We did the whole shebang - five courses plus cheese paired with wine. Absolutely worth it. We especially loved the squid, the sea bream, the frangipane tart with plum and the wines.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect for visitors who speak English
This is a lovely restaurant for a degustation menu. The staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive, and it's the perfect place for visitors to Paris who don't speak French. The flavours of each dish are complex but safe - it definitely caters for an international palate. The desserts were a little disappointing, and this is why my review loses a star. Those wanting an authentic, more edgy Parisienne experience might want to choose somewhere else. But those who require American style service in a friendly space and a meal journey which they will love, should definitely choose Comice.

Just a wonderful dining experience. A small but beautiful restaurant with a dedication to excellent service, creative dishes and great food quality. The owner is very warm and pleasant. Our second time in three years (as many the virus has interrupted our international travel). Over two weeks of dining in Paris we would put Comice at the top.
Be the first to ReplyGreat for a special occasion
Comice is an elegant and fairly expensive tasting menu. The real standout was the wine by the glass offering to go along with our meal. The variety and quality was as good as it gets. This was a special occasion but a very memorable one.
Be the first to ReplyVery over priced for what you get
This place was really good. But not worth the high prices. They also tried to charge us for cheese we thought was part of the tasting menu. Was crazy to think that they wanted to charge us extra for 4 slices of cheese after we spent all that money on the tasting Menu and champagne. It’s also extremely quite in there so it’s very uncomfortable. Also needs a face lift for decorations. The owner should also not be wearing Nike trainers while everyone else is dressed in evening wear.

Small menu but each dish is done very nicely. Good pacing in terms of food served and the wine pairing complements the food very well.
Especially the dessert wine
A high quality restaurant
Our party of two had dinner here on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was full so I suggest making a reservation. The restaurant had a menu for 110 euros or you could order a la carte. We ordered a la carte. One of us had the foie gras which he said was excellent and the flavor of the special Bread, foie gras and pear was delicious. For a main course he had the veal which he said had wonderful combinations and was one of best courses of our ten day trip to France. The other had the sweet potato stuffed pasta in butter sauce which was good and the turbot which unfortunately unbeknownst at time of ordering was also in a butter sauce….just too much butter and not enough flavor. I wish waiter had advised that dishes were similar. The chocolate soufflé was very good and quite dense dark chocolate with ice cream. The service was well paced and pleasant.
Be the first to Replywonderful food and service
I ate dinner here and it was easily one of the best dining experiences that I had in Paris. I enjoyed their 4 course tasting menu with wine pairing, and everything was perfect. Staff were friendly (and spoke fluent English). I would definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyFood and service were great, owner was okay
We had an overall great time at Comice. The food was delicious, servers were fantastic, but the female owner didn’t make us feel as welcome as the other guests. She was still nice but we noticed she was far nicer to the other guests and it made us feel a little self conscious and took away from the experience.
She asked everyone else far more questions, seemed to care about their experience, and barely acknowledged us even though we went out of our way to be kind and commend her on the restaurant.
Wonderful find
We try new restaurants each time we go to Paris. Comice was really outstanding. It's run by co-owners who have substantial experience in the restaurant business, and that shows in every way--outstanding food, gracious service, well organized, excellent wine list, no problem dealing with my annoying allergy to gluten. We absolutely will be going back next year.
Be the first to ReplyThrilled that we discovered Comice!!!!
We had a GLORIOUS dinner at Comice in late 2109, and we're sad that Covid prevents us visiting this coming fall. The food was spectacular and was matched by the impressive wines. In fact, my husband and I remarked that the "starter" champagne was one of the best we've every had..so memorable. From the first course to the last, the evening was so very special. The TLC at our tableside was generous & kind; the food was remarkable in its presentation and flavor. Who knew mushrooms could be over the top amazing? We will most surely be back at Comice again...hopefully sooner rather than later. It's such a culinary find!
