We had such a delicious, creative and elegant meal at Comice. The service was perfect as well as welcoming and friendly. Ambiance was lovely. This is a fabulous restaurant and we give it our highest recommendation.

I have never been so disappointed in a 1 Michelin restaurant on the European continent. Is it because the owners are not Europeans?! Maybe The food was mostly non-exciting. I can make a pea soup or roast cauliflower. The wine pairing werent my favorite either. I have eaten at many Michelin starred restaurants and this was disappointing. Not worth the price. At all!!! Will not return.

We ate here our last night in Paris to celebrate our anniversary. Exceptional service and attention to detail from the moment you walk in. The food was amazing. We did the four course option and it was more than enough food.
Be the first to ReplyCompletely overrated for what it is.
I've eaten at many great restaurants, from Michelin recommended to three stars like the French laundry. Comice has good food, but it's overpriced for what it is. The menu is not very imaginative, the service is too fast and the waiters don't feel genuine. There are much better places in Paris for half the price such as Ambos for example.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible food and the wine pairings were to die for.
The friendly team running the restaurant really made it special. The manger/somm was insane with her wine knowledge. Next level!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was excellent.
However,1) Certain members of the staff lacked thoughtfulness or maybe just experience. I think we can all agree that it's annoying when someone takes your wine when you weren't done with it. Also, when placing utensils on the table, it's good to place them down nicely, not rushed or haphazardly. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but I guess I just appreciate the decorum of a nice dining experience.2) The restaurant ambiance is ok. The tables are somewhat close together, so you can hear other conversations going on. It was hard to have an intimate experience.Bottom line-- 5 stars for the food, 3 stars for the ambiance and atmosphere

This was one of my favorite dinners in Paris during our trip. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was attentive and the owner was a delightful guide for wine selections. This Veal with butternut squash ravioli was course 3. We had the 4 course menu and we left very satisfied. I will definitely return.

Michelin-starred Comice, headed by Canadian chef and sommelier wife offers a pre-fixe menu that with international flavors. The memorial part was speaking to the Somm on each of the wine pairing (55 Euro was quite a steal) and the pairing is customizable (that we did not want dessert wine she was kind to accommodate and pour us a bold red to wrap up the meal)We had the scallop ceviche with Meyer lemon, which was refreshing. There were other dishes that was not very memorable - a butternut squash and a chicken dish. Overall, felt that service was good but a bit robotic.

I'm going to confess that I'm writing this review with a bit of a far fetched long shot ulterior motive. I came here for my first dinner after landing in Paris from New York and had the five course dinner. Every dish was fantastic, I didn't have a single nit. The whole experience really kicked off my short vacation perfectly. The scallops particularly blew me away and the pumpkin(?) dish has me looking for dishes with a similar taste profile in Paris. Now, on to wine. I'm going to into a bit of unnecessary detail here in hopes the sommelier may remember me... I had a very brief conversation with her to pick a bottle of wine. The only reason I didn't stick to the pairing was because when I saw the dinner menu, I figured it would be mostly white wines (which the sommelier confirmed) and I'm very picky with white wines (not in the sense that I have an advanced palate, but more so the opposite, I just haven't developed the palate for a wide range of whites). I mentioned that I love Bordeaux, but I understood it couldn't order one as it would overpower half of the dishes, admitted that I'm not great with selecting Burgundy bottles and asked for a recommendation. She recommended a couple of bottles and I agreed with a what I vaguely remember as a 2018 vintage, which she enthusiastically not only described the bottle but also the family run estate. I was slightly concerned it was a bit young, but she assured it was ready to drink. This burgundy was one of the best I've ever had and was priced surprisingly reasonably. I did not take down the name of the bottle... I need to find out what it was.Again, long shot, but if the sommelier remembers offering a 2018 burgundy to a Korean American couple from new York on November 23, 2022 and happens to remember which bottle this was, I need to know. We were the first table seated, 7:30 reservation.

Ate there last week and the food was truly fabulous -- had the tasting menu of 1. Cauliflower soup -- fantastic though a tiny portion;2. Scallop carpaccio -- super fresh though the pickled lemon's sourness started to overwhelm; 3. Roasted kabocha squash with roasted lemon purée -- best dish of the night, heartiest and most flavorful squash I've ever eaten;4. Cuttlefish risotto -- good though nothing special, the least interesting dish of the night; 5. Pressed veal with a potato millefeuille -- very tasty veal and the millefeuille was like the tastiest French fry imaginable; 6. Blood orange sorbet with champagne mousse -- fine as a palate cleanser; And 7. A duo of desserts to be shared -- an outstanding fig tart and a good but not great chocolate molten cake. Overall I definitely recommend Comice as the food and service was outstanding but it was odd in that it seemed like a one Michelin star place in NYC that had been stuck in a quiet neighborhood in Paris. Some of the techniques were decidedly French (presse of the veal, the millefeuille, the fig tart etc) but everything about the vibe read New York City. You could teleport it to a block in Gramercy or the Upper West Side and you couldn't tell a difference. Again that's not a complaint as much as something my wife and I found curious about it.
Be the first to ReplyWe selected the 4-course menu.
Their chocolate soufflé is wonderful. The food and staff are exceptional and the sommelier was spot on with her recommendations. This is a higher end restaurant that is a must visit when in Paris.

My husband and I treated ourselves to our first Michelin star restaurant for our anniversary while in France. What a treat! Every dish was beautiful, delicious and had a wonderful wine pairing. The staff was well informed and kind. We loved it!

The attention and care that this family puts into every dish, every detail is a rare treasure to behold. If you appreciate fine dining, I recommend you spend an evening here.
Be the first to ReplyOur party of two had dinner here on a Tuesday night.
The restaurant was full so I suggest making a reservation. The restaurant had a menu for 110 euros or you could order a la carte. We ordered a la carte. One of us had the foie gras which he said was excellent and the flavor of the special Bread, foie gras and pear was delicious. For a main course he had the veal which he said had wonderful combinations and was one of best courses of our ten day trip to France. The other had the sweet potato stuffed pasta in butter sauce which was good and the turbot which unfortunately unbeknownst at time of ordering was also in a butter sauce....just too much butter and not enough flavor. I wish the waiter had suggested something else. The chocolate soufflé was very good and quite dense dark chocolate with ice cream. The service was well paced and pleasant.
Be the first to ReplyRecency does not always mean relevancy.
In the case of Comice, you do not need to worry. I've been to a dozen+ Michelin rated restaurants over the past decade and Comice dominated. From the attention to detail, to the kind and friendly staff. If you are looking for an amazing dining experience in Paris, you'd be remiss if you didn't show up. The attention to detail on the plates...underrated by the critics. The care of ingredient, and composition is beyond top notch. I recommend the wine pairing without question. There is no reason for you not to be impressed with EVERYTHING. THANK YOU, Comice! Your team should be proud.

How have I not left a review for this place? Getting ready for a San Sebastián trip, and making reservations at the "best" restaurants in the world. Thinking back our experience here 18 months ago ... hands down our best meal EVER. And I honestly do not think it will ever be beat. Experience was incredible, our hosts were kind, thoughtful and provided a stunning presentation. Every single thing was amazing. And... HIGHLY recommend the up-charge for Truffles. We rave about our experience to anyone who will listen, and offer zero hesitation to share that this was our best meal ever. Thank you for an unforgettable evening.

Wow. Go here now! Comice is a wonderful dining experience that my wife and I recently had the opportunity to be a part of. Every dish in the Tasting menu was prepared perfectly. You will leave so full that you cannot stand the thought of more food. I'm sure they know this as the Chef's wife, who runs the front end, jokes about serving you more food at the end. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. I cannot wait to return.I did not do the wine pairing.
Be the first to ReplyJust Amazing.
From the service, food to wine, everything was just impeccable. The co-owner was there help serving the tables and she was very personable and friendly as well. Of course the best part was the beautifully delicious FOOD!

This was by far the best meal my husband and I have ever had! The food was incredible, beautifully prepared and plated. The service was next to none, we felt so well taken care of by the staff. I would highly recommend for any who want to experience fine dining in Paris!
Be the first to ReplyComice is an experience.
From the moment we walked through the front door to the end, it was perfect. My boyfriend and I got the tasting menu without the wine pairing. They were able to accommodate his dairy allergy and prepared him nearly the same dishes as I had - all of which was delicious. The tasting menu is worth it.I also judge how much a restaurant cares by the bread they give you and the bread is top notch. They give you both a sourdough and multigrain that is on display and you can see them go through the loaves as the night goes on. The service is top notch and they take everything into detail. From the moment you step inside, they are attentive without being overbearing and know exactly how to pace out each dish. They know which jacket and bag is yours and has it waiting for you at the door when you are leaving. A member of their waitstaff is waiting for you to push your chair in after you've left it to to use the restroom. They check in periodically but let you enjoy your meal in piece. Every single part was meticulously thought out with such care. Would come back again and highly recommend for special night out

The service was unbeatable - probably the best I had in France thus far. 120 Euros was very reasonable for the four-course meal I got. The food was delicious and everything came out perfect. The only criticism I have was that the claim pasta was a bit too salty for my liking. I felt like all of the other dishes were really good though.Overall, I'd probably only come back if they drastically changed their menu. Not because I didn't like their food, but because I like trying new restaurants. It's definitely worth trying at least once.
Be the first to ReplyBest meal we had in Paris.
We brought our 6 year old with us and they were very accommodating. Service was amazing as expected for a Michelin star. All dishes were well prepared and balanced. The highlights for me were the cauliflower and the lobster entree, however I would have all of them over again. We had our meal with the wine pairings and like all but the rose champagne with dessert (chocolate soufflé) and felt it was off. Would recommend for anyone looking for an amazing meal in Paris.

Went to le fantastique Comice, a charming little restaurant serving French haute cuisine. We had a multi-course meal: mint soup with bacon bits, Mediterranean tuna salad, fried cauliflower with... stuff, a savory pasta dish we thoroughly enjoyed -- then lobster (which was better) for my girlfriend, and Poularde filet for me -- and finally creme brûlée for desert. A fine dining experience I can heartily recommend! Last but not least, the service and staff were beyond impeccable.
