Crudo Ceviche & Oyster Bar San Diego Reviews from The Last Year
We randomly chose Crudo and very glad that we made a good
We randomly chose Crudo and very glad that we made a good choice for dinner tonight. Fresh and delicious seafood. Highly recommended guava cheesecake for dessert. Service was phenomenal.
Fun atmosphere with so-so food the day we went
Chose this place based on it being labeled as family friendly and it looked like it had fun vibes with outdoor bar, cornhole, etc. It definitely lived up to all those expectations but unfortunately the food fell flat. The kids meals chicken tenders were extra breaded and overall bland with dry chicken meat. My kids tend to love any fried chicken put in front of them but both protested heavily. The fries were drenched in oil and super soggy. Again, hard to find fries my kids don’t like, but these were it. My husbands sandwich roll was stale. The side of “biscuits” were a huge disappointment and more of a peeled off of a frozen product that was doughy and undercooked. My salad was decent with freshly cut dark leafy green romaine and a lovely pickled onions. The cookies were warm baked and tasty. The staff aside from the person who took our order were unenthused and overall flat. The location had difficult parking as well but that could have been partially related to a nearby venue having a wedding or large event going on. It also has the added scenery of Boeing 747s landing every 5 minutes which emit a very loud sound and the aroma of jet fuel. Admittedly it is entertaining for the kids but just know it is under the flight path of San Diego airport This was our one shot at a nice dinner out and although it wasn’t a complete disaster it just didn’t feel like we got a quality meal with only the salad and cookies getting an okay grade.
I was in town for the day for work last week and wanted to
I was in town for the day for work last week and wanted to reward myself with some wine and food after a tough morning /early afternoon. Fun fact- I actually was on my way to another restaurant when I past Crudo and went back to eat there. The ambiance is open and breezy with a modern rock /pop en español playlist on the speakers. There are fun nautical mermaid touches throughout. The food was fresh and presented beautifully. I opted for a classic cocktail de mariscos and then a more modern snapper ceviche. Since I was sitting at the bar I was able to see how clean the operation was . And the wine list was epic. I had three glasses of Albariño myself but they really curate that list (they were even tasting some ports to add to the menu when I was there). Service was great and friendly. They weren't really busy since it was relatively early so I didn't have to compete for attention. I will totally come back because there are so many food and drink options.
The FOOD here is amazing.
It's undeniably great food and I want to bring all my friends and family here. It comes out so quickly and the presentation is incredible. I do wish they'd make the menu font larger or change the menu style, it's hard to read and I think people don't go in to eat when passing by because of being intimidated by the menu. I also wish they'd lower the music and dim the lights! THE FOOD THOUGH is AMAZING. One of our servers was great, the other was frantic and we did have to wait a bit at the host stand before being sat. :( I still give a 5 because im not a seafood lady and this place makes me want to eat there everyday.

This place is overpriced and the portions they serve are extra stingy! We spent over $80 on food and drinks per person but we were still hungry. Thank goodness there is a Burger Lounge and other restaurants nearby for those who are still hungry after dining at this place! Neither my friend nor I will dine here again...
Second time Here for their happy hour.
$1 oysters is my go to. Very fresh and devious. Also got their aguachile and comes with the tostada chip that are very crispy. Definately ask for their house Chilli oil or the el yucateco chile habanero hot sause. It's soooo good with your tacos or aguachile. The staff was really nice and attentive. Its a must try is you love raw bars
Service was fast and great.
Walked in without a reservation on a Saturday. They were busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. The food was AMAZING. The flavors, variety, and presentation were impressive. Would definitely return!
Another satisfying late lunch early dinner at this place!
Another satisfying late lunch early dinner at this place! Our server Triny is the best! She was our server the last time we were here. Highly recommended! We come from the Temecula area and don't mind the drive because it's worth the drive
Oyster happy hour was a great deal.
Uni and caviar were priced reasonably. Cute patio downtown. Street parking wasn't too bad. Decent service.
Crudo Cevicheria & Oyster Bar is an absolute gem nestled in
Crudo Cevicheria & Oyster Bar is an absolute gem nestled in the Little Italy area of San Diego. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with an ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable journey of the finest flavors of the sea. First and foremost, let's talk about their saketini drinks. These concoctions are sheer perfection. The fusion of premium sake with innovative flavors creates an explosion of taste that's hard to forget. Each sip is a delightful experience that complements the freshness of the seafood impeccably. But what truly sets Crudo apart is its exceptional service. Alonzo, our server, went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. His knowledge of the menu, attention to detail, and genuine passion for hospitality were truly commendable. Alonzo's recommendations elevated our dining experience, and his warm demeanor made us feel like valued guests. Crudo's ceviches and oysters are a testament to the restaurant's dedication to quality and creativity. Each dish is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The freshness of the ingredients shines through, highlighting the restaurant's commitment to sourcing the finest produce. Overall, Crudo Cevicheria & Oyster Bar is a culinary haven that never fails to impress. With its delectable saketini drinks, exquisite seafood, and unparalleled service courtesy of Alonzo, it's a dining destination that's not to be missed. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience, Crudo delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!
Good experience
There were 2 great things about this place, John, our bartender, and the fried chicken! Atmosphere was great! Fries tasty but too greasy. This is a fun, friendly place!
Such delicious and fresh seafood.
A bit overpriced for the size but I would come back! The tostada was actually incredible and I was so surprised as how good it was. Sorry I can't remember the name of it!! I let the waiter pick one for me and he made an excellent decision. Guac + tostadas were so tasty and fresh as well. Definitely would recommend!
Great Spot for Chicken Sandwiches & Full Bar
Little Italy isn’t the first place that comes to mind if you are in the mood for fried chicken, chicken sandwiches and all the in between. Although Italian food reigns in little Italy, there is a spot that has one of the most delicious fried chicken sandwiches in the city - The Crack Shack. This small fast casual dining chain is situated at the corner of Kettner Blvd & W Juniper St. there is only outdoor seating, but pretty ample covered seating. It’s a no frills - order your food at the counter, get your number, and take your seat kind of eatery. Your order will be brought out to your table. What I didn’t expect was a full bar on the deck, so you can get your drink on while waiting for your food. Service was decent and as expected for the a pretty much self-serve eatery. There is a wide variety of hot sauces at the Sauce Station, which was wonderful as everyone’s has their own favorite sauce or level of spiciness. I ordered the Coop Deville with the Shack Fries, and an IPA on draft to wash it all down. The chicken was seasoned well, fried nicely and not dry at all. The slaw was good, but could have used a bit more seasoning, but definitely added an additional layer of flavor tot he sandwich. Seems like the owners thought the build of this restaurant out well. Aside from delicious chicken, a full bar to enjoy, there’s also a game section for the young and the young at heart to keep the fun going. Although parking can be tricky on weekends and high traffic times, it’s worth it.

Learned about this place from an IG post; while in town
Learned about this place from an IG post; while in town (Little Italy in San Diego) during Happy Hour-they had the best offering. $1 oysters and various tostadas and guacamole. Must have a HH drink with it while you're at it.
Loved the atmosphere and the food.
We had pretty much everything on their happy hour menu. Ya'll...this was delicious. The oysters tasted fresh. My favorite was the aguachile verde, but the aguachile negro was pretty good too. The tuna bites were small, but that's why they are bites. The vampiro campechano was good, but the fish ceviche tostada was better. The camarón cremoso tostada was tasty. One of my favs was the torched scallops. One of us was really into the sope de marlin, but I don't like cheese with fish. The spicy shrimp were good, but I like a bit more spice. Over all, I'm definitely coming back!!! Roll me to my next stop....
I am not a fry person....and I will NEVER skip the fries here
Really enjoyed it; the Schmaltz Fries were maybe the best thing I ate while in town. They were so good, I ordered some on my last night in town. Really good Ranch, perfect for the fries. I am somewhat watching calories (ha!) so I was glad to get the chicken filet on its own, rather than a full sandwich. I will admit that the flavoring of the chicken was a little bit different than what I was expecting. Not bad. A bit spicy at times. But...like I said, there was a certain spice that I just wasn't quite expecting. I am sure the chicken is delicious in the context of a sandwich. It was cooked just right, juicy, not overcooked. Cookie was fine. Probably not worth the extra calories, but not terrible. Service was really good. I would describe the vibe as very hip, very trendy. A little too hip and trendy for square ol me, but the food totally justifies it. One interesting thing, and you may consider it a positive or a negative, but due to the location, you will catch numerous planes flying low overhead on their descent into the airport. I thought it was cool. So, I would and will definitely be back. It's too bad Crack Shack has only expanded throughout the West/Southwest. Would love to see a couple make it out more toward the Eastern side of the country!
Great Cluckin' Place!
I got the Mexican Poutine and hot damn was it delicious. The chicken on the poutine had such a juicy and flavorful taste it made very envious that I didn't get the chicken oysters. I had a ground chicken sandwich that was out of this world.
Fun, Tasty, Worth the Visit
Chicken sandwiches were delicious but messy. (They know their sandwiches are messy and have a handwashing station. Awesome.) But the bathroom decor is THE BEST, since the walls feature whiny one-star reviews. I’d give five stars for that alone, but the food deserves it.

I have a big ongoing and it also shows someone is working on my bid. Today I see there is a " Buy Instantly " option at my portfolio showing same price I've bid for a reservation. I'm a bit confused, since my money has already been deducted from my credit card for the bid, do I need to pay one more time for the Buy Instantly? If I choose Buy Instantly, can I cancel my bid ( while someone is working on it )? Thanks!
