This restaurant is simply one of my favorites in Austin, Texas. I always look forward to having their antelope filet and ribeye, and they have a great burger and beef fat fries. Just a great place. I enjoy taking my family there and having a meal. Highly recommend it to anybody visiting Austin or within Austin.

3/5 by 👻 @Emma B. on 08/12/2025

We were seated on the patio, which on a 90° Texas summer day is not always ideal. It also wasn't requested in my reservation so I'm not sure if we just happened to get the short end of the stick. They did have fans out on the patio but honestly, it did not help and the flies were absolutely horrendous, it significantly took away from the experience and the small fans on the table did not make much of a difference. My husband got the Nilgai dish and it was so chewy it was almost inedible. Maybe if we had been seated inside it would've made a difference in experience (besides the 1 dish that was sub par). We also frequent restaurants in the summer here and don't mind a patio experience but this one was just unfortunate.

5/5 by 👻 @Camille A. on 08/10/2025

Unique take on classic dishes and they're delicious!! My bf and I stopped by after church and we were blown away. The restaurant is warm and cozy but also bright with a lovely patio area. Our server walked us through the menu and made great suggestions. We ended up going with the flautas and the Central Texas Breakfast with sausage. The tallow fried flautas were great! Initially, I was a little hesitant about the wild boar but the spicy broth and lime crema made me forget about it. Personal preference, but I do think the broth could be a little more spicy! My bf LOVED his breakfast plate. The grits and biscuits were my fav. Overall, great place for brunch! You can tell there's love poured into everything they do at Dai Due.

5/5 by 👻 @katie on 08/04/2025

This place does their mission statement so well! Everything is so fresh and good! I sat on the patio which was lovely and cool thanks to their control over air flow. The flautas were unreal and same with the tomato salad. I hadn't really tried boar before so the burger was probably not for me but I could tell from the other ingredients that it was a good boar burger! One complaint would be that this place doesn't have regular sodas but that's probably because they really focus on EVERYTHING being from the region.

Everything we ordered here was really delicious.

4/5 by 👻 @Ann M. on 07/29/2025

Dai Due has the best biscuits I've ever eaten in my life. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and I would highly recommend. But honestly, the biscuit was absolutely insane on its own. The next time I come back I'll order an extra one for sure. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because there's very limited gluten free and non pork options. Everything they do, they do it well and that's baked goods and meats.

The flavors were amazing! We had the Pork Chop and the Drum Fish. So delicious. Shared some potatoes Caroline and they could’ve been a highlight! Started with chicharones and the Tomaquet. The tomaquet was one of the best starters ever. The bacon and animal fat used in the cooking made me a happy man, delicious!

Dai due is hands down our favorite restaurant in Austin.

5/5 by 👻 @Christina S. on 06/22/2025

The antelope steak frittes was my fiances favorite meal ever, period. This place is unique in so many ways and the foods execution is next level. The flavors are harmonious and take you on a unique culinary experience. We've had brunch here before and it was epic as well. The burger was truly the best burger we've ever had!! Whether brunch or dinner, this place delivers! Can't wait to go again as we already have our next meal from here picked out

1/5 by 👻 @John K. on 06/14/2025

My rating is based upon a serious failure to meet the expectations of a Michelin Bib Gourmand recommended restaurant. I have been to Dai Due several times and I was always pleased in the past. Last night my wife and I were both quite disappointed. We each ordered a main course and a side of okra to share. The okra was very good. On the other hand, my pork chop was seriously overdone. Overdone so that it was tough, dry, tasteless, and there was literally not a drop of juice on the plate. It should have been rich, juicy and flavorful. I have been grilling meat for longer than their chefs have been alive, and a competent chef can tell by the feel of the meat when it is cooked to the correct temperature. They didn't bother or care how it was done. My wife's hamburger was also over-cooked and dry, very dry. This just shows a lack of caring and attention that one expects from a Bib Gourmand level restaurant. Obviously, quality controls have taken a nosedive. You do not earn kudos by being complacent. I know we should have complained and ordered something else, but we had time constraints, and my wife fears chef-retaliation when their work is challenged. Besides, it should not be necessary to complain at a really good restaurant. Food like that should not be allowed out of their kitchen. As a side note, the noise level is pretty high, especially hearing a chef yell out orders to the other chefs. I think there is some background music, but the overall din made it hard to tell.

Interesting that no one responds to reviews for this place.

2/5 by 👻 @Susannah K. on 06/11/2025

The negative ones are right. Overpriced and uninteresting. No happy hour menu. When we were seated the maitre'd mentioned that the server would bring kids menus and then the server said there weren't any. The staff is quick to take menus away. Bread at entranceway isn't covered. We came all this way for biscuits and found out that it's only available on the weekends. Couldn't even leave because then they would barge $25/person. Place wasn't even packed. It's almost like they know you'll leave so they charge you to stay.

I love Dai Due because they always have such unique options.

5/5 by 👻 @Natalie M. on 06/07/2025

Everything is made with quality meats and ingredients. The Longhorn Burger and Rueben Sandwich are different, but still takes a top spot for burgers/sandwiches I have had in Austin! The desserts were great as well, and the peach seasonal pie was my favorite. They usually always have reservations open, and wait staff is attentive and kind. My only critique is that the prices are a little high for the portion sizing, but I understand and it's worth it.

4/5 by 👻 @Kara M. on 06/05/2025

Came on a Friday morning for brunch with a friend and enjoyed the cozy space. Service was relaxed, food was pretty great, and parking is easy. The menu offers both some basic staples as well as some more creative culinary dishes - everything is made fresh, in-house, and aligns to what's in season. A true farm to table experience! I would definitely revisit. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, there is a shared lot behind the building with spaces as well as a few directly in front. - Reservations? Yes, not always necessary but good to be safe. FOOD RATINGS: - Sourdough (5/5): Solid sourdough served with a seasonal lard. Fresh and tasty bread! - Dai Due breakfast (4/5): Crispy brown rice with pickled veggies (kimchi) and an egg. Pretty great flavor for a simple dish. Really enjoyed it!

Great service, but poor management

Great service at our table but terrible hostess. Although we had reservations for 9:15 pm, no tables were available until 9:35. Hostess was cold and condescending. Delicious appetizers and entrees. Maria, our waitress, was wonderful.

Brunch is a must if Visiting Austin

5/5 by 👻 @grainfreefoodie on 07/20/2024

Visited this restaurant for brunch. The menu included antelope and wild boar. We ordered the Antelope lettuce wraps. This dish was gluten, dairy, and grain free. Our daughter had the pork flautas and the wild boar filled pastry. Both of these dishes were tasty and recommended. We also ordered the sourdough pancake, which was fruity and sweet. The waitress was very attentive and listened to my husbands restrictions. A very good choice for brunch while @Austin. Make sure to make a reservation.

Brunch FLEX

5/5 by 👻 @therealbmayer on 07/16/2024

Truly, one of the most unique brunches…ever. The pastrami sandwich was a Reuben on steroids, especially with the funky slaw. BLT with candied bacon? Wow. The pancake with plum slaw was too sweet but the fries in beef tallow make up for it. Friendly service, very genuine. Go for it if you can!

Great expectations - not met

3/5 by 👻 @v t on 05/16/2023

This was supposed to a dining experience with my kids. This was average fare. It started off good with the Meat/Cheese Board and then the main dishes except for the Drum did not live up to the expectations. Meat Cheese Board - the Nilgai rillets and Wagu Bologna was good Black Drum : the eater liked her dish, tasted the best off all the dishes Dry Aged Wagu Beef Burger: Ok Nilgai Antlelope Filet w Lettuce Wraps: It was grilled perfectly, the meat does not taste anything like prime beef. You can check mark- ate Nilgai. This is an animal from Indian subcontinent-definitely not local. Wild Boar Confit: Very stringy

Would have given it a 5 but I had higher expectations

4/5 by 👻 @Tony S on 12/18/2022

I heard about Dai Due from Joe Rogan's podcast so decided to give it a try. He raved about it and probably set my expectations too high as a result. We were visiting my older daughter so went there as a family with her boyfriend. The menu is extremely eclectic and has a lot of interesting choices including wild game. We ordered a number of appetizers to sample a lot. We started with the cold meat board and it was hearty. I thought the pate was great. Many of us loved the mushrooms. The wild boar confit was another hit. We ordered a large pork chop to share and the waitress encouraged us to gnaw on the bone. It was terrific. The service was superb but probably should have encouraged us to order another dish. I left somewhat but not completely satisfied.

Connect with users posting reservations for Dai Due Austin

AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Dai Due Austin. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Dai Due Austin at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Dai Due Austin page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* DistinguishedTree58, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* DistinguishedTree58 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to DistinguishedTree58 for any questions Peter may have as DistinguishedTree58 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* DistinguishedTree58 now uses their connections at Dai Due Austin to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If DistinguishedTree58 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, DistinguishedTree58 receives the $200 reward which is credited to DistinguishedTree58's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Dai Due Austin!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
