Dear Jane's Marina del Rey Reviews from The Last Year
A perfect evening - a perfect dinner!
The service, food and ambiance at Dear Jane's is fantastic. Our server, Tim, was very helpful and attentive. We began splitting the table-side Shrimp Louie salad. And my dining partner ordered the Cioppino which she thoroughly enjoyed. And I ordered the Trout Almondine which was melt in your mouth fantastic. The sommelier helped is pick the perfect wines by the glass to accompany our entrees. It was a fantastic evening!
Sooooo great!
Had an amazing experience there with the girls! Oysters, crab cakes, sand dabs were so good. Finished off dinner with cocktails in the cute, dimly lit bar behind velvet curtains. Service was amazing too!
Be aware of the hostess Alba
Dear Jane: A Culinary Nightmare Oh, Dear Jane, where do I begin? Last night, my party and I had the distinct misfortune of encountering an individual named Alba, who supposedly serves as the hostess of this establishment. I must say, her performance in the field of rudeness and unaccommodating behavior was truly beyond anything we have ever experienced. Alba, you should be proud of your remarkable ability to leave a lasting impression on your customers. Bravo! The first thing that struck me about Alba was her staggering arrogance. It was as if she believed she held a divine right to treat people with complete disdain. The way she sneered at our requests and brushed off our concerns was truly a sight to behold. But wait, it gets better. When we kindly requested to speak with her manager to share our unfortunate experience, Alba proved her unwavering commitment to bad customer service by outright refusing our request. How charming! I suppose she believes that shielding her superiors from the truth will save her from the consequences of her behavior. Little does she know, her actions speak louder than words, and everyone around her can see through the façade. I hope her supervisors will soon enough see that or it would be a shame! To our surprise, we discovered that we were not alone in our disdain for Alba. We shared our encounter with the servers and even the valet, who were all too eager to join in our collective disgust. They, too, expressed their loathing for Alba and made it clear that working with her is nothing short of a nightmare. It's almost as if she has perfected the art of alienating those around her. Quite the talent, indeed! Now, let's divert our attention from Alba's dismal display of hospitality and focus on the silver lining: the food and the rest of the staff. Miraculously, the food at Dear Jane managed to transcend the realm of Alba's abysmal customer service. It was actually quite good, and the rest of the staff, unlike our beloved hostess, were delightful and accommodating. It's a shame that customer service and hospitality are not for everyone, and Alba is clearly not cut out for the job. Dear Jane, I implore you to reconsider your choice of Alba as your hostess. While the culinary delights are certainly worth experiencing, they are tainted by the presence of this insufferable individual. Perhaps Alba would find more fulfillment in a profession that does not involve interacting with other human beings. In the meantime, I can only hope that your customers will be spared from her icy glare and condescending tone. Bon appétit!

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
