What seems to be like a Brooklyn pizza institution that's been serving up pies since 1965 (I think?). I came here a few years ago and actually just came across these photos. Now, my review is through the eyes of a tourist. Which means I probably give it a bump based on my own wow factor.I have to say, though, the pizza is very good. The greasy pepperoni cups were delicious as well as the mushroom pizza that I got and the olive pizza. Is it the best pizza in Brooklyn? That's debatable and subjective, but I just have to say I really really enjoy the pizza here. Also, as a bonus, I had the benefit of Domenico himself (RIP) hand cutting basil and sprinkling it over my slices. When I was doing my research to get the "best pizza" in Brooklyn, this came up on a few lists. I'm glad I chose this one because right when I left my vehicle, it really just felt right. I can't really put it into words to give it justice, but as a Californian, this felt like what grabbing a Brooklyn slice should feel like. I've read that it took long to get your slice, but I also came during an off hour, so there was like zero line, so it didn't really matter. Ordering was easy - order at the counter and wait outside for your pizza. The place itself felt like an old school pizza joint with a neighborhood vibe. Essentially, I felt like I was getting some delicious Brooklyn pizza and eating a slice of history. Also, my condolences to the family because Dom just passed away in 2022. I truly cherish eating experiences like this one. This is why I like to do what I do when traveling
