Wow this place is incredible! Short line to get in but they brought us complimentary house chai, which was a great act of service to help us warm up. The food was extremely flavorful and came out hot/quick. The atmosphere & service were fantastic as well. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good dinner spot in the area ir traveling through!

This is the fourth Dishoom I have been to and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent and food was the usual awesome. We were a table of 8 and everyone was very happy with service, food, and atmosphere. Will definitely return to the Battersea location!

While definitely overhyped and expensive, you are paying for the ambiance and service. It was a 15 minute wait on a Thursday night- the long line moves very fast and they give you chai while waiting. (Also outdoor heaters when it's cold). Inside, the restaurant is massive and very loud. I got the chicken makhani, the famous black daal, garlic naan, and my friend got the grilled prawns. The makhani was decent, a bit sweet but wanted more flavor. Very generous portion of chicken. The daal was good, also wish it was more flavorful - maybe my expectations were too high. Garlic naan was too burnt & didn't have enough of a garlic punch. Also wish they were more generous with the naan. Overall, not even close to the best Indian food I've had. Automatic optional 12.5% tip as always.

The best Indian food in all of London! We were in town for a week and literally came here twice during our visit because it was so good. We pretty much ordered one of everything on the menu and the server had to move us to a bigger table!!! Every single thing we ordered was phenomenal. I love the aesthetic of the place and the way they have to line up outside but then you get to go inside and have drinks for the remainder of time you are on the waiting list. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Be the first to ReplyOur 1st time here.
Excellent service, very efficient quick turnaround time. Don't be too intimidated by the long line out the door. It moves fairly quickly because they are so efficient. Ambiance is nice albeit on the loud/noisy side as it is packed. Food was decently portioned. We ordered the chili cheese bread, house chaat, pau bhaji, chicken ruby aka butter chicken, house black daal, plain naan, garlic naan, and rice. Chili cheese bread had a nice spicy kick. Out of what we ordered, my faves were the pau bhaji (full of flavor and spice) and chicken ruby (also with great flavor and spice, but not too spicy). For those that like more heat and are use to spicy Indian food, this might not be spicy enough. They don't let u pick spice level here. The house chaat was decent. My least favorite was their house daal which i found to be rich/buttery tasting but bland and no heat at all. Would love to come back one day to try their special fish and other dishes on their extensive menu. Decently priced menu, at least similar to other Indian restaurants in the area we've tried.

The food was good but unfortunately 3 separate white male waiters were being quite rude to us and made the experience quite uncomfortable. They kept side eyeing our table, were not patient as we ordered, sat us right next to the bathroom when multiple other tables were open, and on our way out a waiter held up a flyer of an Asian performer and pointed at us, obviously indicating our shared East Asian heritage. I'm quite disappointed that such a highly regarded restaurant in London was such a bad experience as my friends and I had lots of excitement upon entering :(

Great food and great service! Went to the Carnaby street location which isn't as interesting as the covent garden location but still good. Didn't try the cocktails.

I am Hazel, a national of Greece, studying in the UK This is a positive review and also a heartfelt thank you message to Cyber Genie. After a couple of sad experiences with "White and Black hat hackers". A schoolmate referred me to Cyber Genie Int'l, I mailed this hacker and told them about My difficulties in passing a few exams and it was affecting my graduation, they told me not to worry and gave me their word. I have had some experiences with some hackers in the past however Cyber Genie was exceptional. I don't have any personal or physical knowledge of these hackers as I reached out to them via ( Cybergenie@cyberservices… ) and WA (+1.25.251.20.391 ) however amidst trying to change my school grades, they made me feel comfortable with their words and expertise. They kept to their promises after an hour of each exam by upgrading my grades. I had to share this 5 stars review about Cyber Genie as I am sure that most people here are looking for the right hacker and have not seen any yet. Wherever part of the world you are, don't kill yourself studying when you can "hire a hacker" to change your grades or upgrade your credit score...!!!
Be the first to ReplyFood was good, kind of over hyped, except for the naan.
The naan was incredible. Kind of hate how chainy it is, and it felt pretty American. But a fun experience! Should be tried at least once.

It was soul crushing when I saw the line. But after deciding to jump in it was only about a 30 minute wait. And they have heating lamps outside for folks in line. It's a very romantic dinner vibe at night so hard to get good pics. Our waiter was amazing I wish I remembered his name. Everything we ordered was excellent and the basmati rice pudding dessert was the best dessert I ever ate!

This place is amazing - such a great experience - didn't even mind waiting in the cold to be seated - they served an amazing chai to everyone in line that definitely made it worth the wait! Everything was delicious - we loved the lamb samosas, the Mango Llhasi, the cheese naan, gunpowder potatoes, and chicken tikka. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service were excellent.
Lucky to have a reservation and not have to wait but it is well worth the wait.
Be the first to ReplyThis place lived up to its hype, it's Iranian, not Indian.
We ordered about 10 plates for 4 person family. I loved the chicken ruby, similar to chicken tikka masala but less creamy, more spicy. We also loved the chicken tikka, fish house special and chili chicken, but if you don't like spicy or lots of flavor then this isn't the place for you. Also, if you want rice, you'll have to order it, it doesn't come with it.

It is always a pleasure to be taken to a level of joy that one hasn't anticipated or expected. For years we would walk by this restaurant and see the massive number of people in line patiently waiting to get in. Now we know why they didn't mind. It is worth the wait. Highly recommended and three staff realty treat you as if you area personal guest in their home. A true joy!
Be the first to ReplyThe wait was worth it! Cool ambiance and service was great.
Food was brought out at a good pace what's the and waiter was friendly and funny. We ordered about 9 dishes for 4 people and that seemed like the perfect amount. Definitely ask waiter for recs of what to get as menu is extensive. The red curry, daal, roti, and okra fries are a must! I was curious about the dairy in the mango lassi and they offered to make it vegan- it was so yummy also recommend trying!

Be the first to ReplyDishoom came highly recommended from one of my wife's
Dishoom came highly recommended from one of my wife's colleagues at work. Definitely recommended to come early if you can, because by the time we were done there was already a line building outside. Very popular restaurant with the locals and tourists. Located in a very bustling part of Covent Garden, there's many places to choose from for a good meal. But I would definitely tell friends and family to try Dishoom. Service was great, and the vibe was almost borderline casual to classy. I can see Dishoom being a great first date pick. Server was quick to get us seated and the best when it came to making good recommendations. I didn't like the drink I initially ordered, she had no hesitations in taking my drink back and getting me something better. Which was the Bombay Colada, super good choice. Went with the chef's special for the fish, and oh my lord. There's so much flavor packed into the dish, it was amazing. The sauce gave it an extra flavor I didn't know I needed to try. But so worth it.Everything on the menu looked good and worth trying. If I come back, I'm definitely making my was to Dishoom again. Wonderful experience and fantastic food. Thank you!

All around amazing we go every time in London some of the best Indian food around the globe
Be the first to ReplyBest meal I've had in London, hands down.
You have to come pretty early to avoid a wait, as the place fills up quickly with a long line through the night - even weekdays. And for good reason! This meal surpassed all our expectations - probably the best Indian food we've had and the best food we've had in London.I highly recommend the Daal and chicken ruby. We were hesitant to order a vegetarian dish at first, but this ended up being our favourite dish - so uniquely flavourful, I still dream about it.The lamb chops were good, but not that unique like the other dishes. For dessert, I recommend the chocolate pudding. The spice in the ice cream was a fun and unique twist.
