In Paris, you really have to know where you are going for a great meal. We didn't do good research, and were stuck eating in mediocre places a few times. On the last night before leaving town, we found this place (two doors down from our hotel!!!) and it was amazing! Very well priced, amazing food, great wine, wonderful hospitality. What more can you ask for? I recommend to make a reservation ahead of time, as this is a tiny place (we sat at the "bar", reserved for people without reservations, there are only 4 seats there). This will be my "go to" place when I go back to Paris.

Off the beaten track, tucked away in a charming side street, and full of character. Esttia has only a smattering of tables, so do book or you won't get in, even in the off season. Esttia is absolutely affordable, with a three course meal at only 35 euro. They also feature excellent wine choices at bargain prices. The food is, however, is something to write home about. I had the smoked duck breast tatin which was amazing and the rest of the meal followed suit. My wife had the shrimp over forbidden rice risotto. So, if you don't want touristy crap, make a reservation, you and your pocketbook won't be disappointed.

A big step above a bistro or cafe, with beautiful plates and tantalizing flavors, but modest prices and a casual setting. Someplace you can enjoy a fine French dining experience without a suit and tie and without spending a lot. This was one of our best meals in Paris. The flavors were well developed, the dishes well crafted and balanced. Four of us had the fixed price menu, and we tried to get a variety and share tastes. The Tatin de Magret starter was really good, basically bacon on top of a caramelized onion tart with tomato. The white truffle crab ravioli was also fantastic. For Plats, we had grilled bass, veal loin, scallops, and seared tuna. The were all fabulous. The beef was exceptional.Dessert was.... well everything we expected and more. Lemon sorbet with lemon cream, very dark chocolate mousse, caramel ice cream with grilled pineapple. Yum. Overall, terrific value, outstanding service. The waiter let us and our kids struggle with French to practice, and was very patient. When we come back to Paris, we will come again.

I saw a rat, the food and the service is terrible, overpriced pretentious french. Wine selection was so so. Comparing to the choice there is in this neighborhood it seems a bit pricey
