Our French host offered us this recommendation for a good
Our French host offered us this recommendation for a good pizzeria in San Francisco. We ordered via Door Dash and it was delicious and arrived hot. The blistered crust was exactly what you want a great pizza to be - a bit chewy with a burnt edge. This might have been the best textured crust of a delivered pizza that I can remember. The toppings were just the right portion - not too much that it weighs the piece or holds too much moisture. I ordered one sausage and one pepperoni without the pickled peppers. While my box indicated the order was received correctly, the pickled peppers were still there. That didn't deter me although they definitely added a bit of heat to the pie. The sauce created more of an all over salty flavor than a sweet tomato one but that also didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of these pies. I would absolutely order here again!

Everything was fantastic! This was the best Caesar salad I've ever had. The mezcal drink was perfectly balanced and smoky. The pizza ingredients, incredibly fresh. Our server, Mike, provided exceptional service. Amazing food and experience. Go right now!!

I didn't realize until now that Yellow Moto Pizzeria is actually an offshoot from Flour + Water. They actually just reopened this month under Yellow Moto. I love that this place is located right along Valencia, but better yet, only a couple blocks from Bi-Rite Creamery. The pizza here, too, is phenomenal! If you're looking for a thin-crust, Neapolitan-style pizza, this is the place to be. My friend and I split a vegan eggplant pizza when we came here. The crust was chewy with a nice crisp. The tomato sauce was sweet. And the eggplant paired really well with the capers that also came on the pizza. This is a nice fine-casual pizzeria to try out. I can't wait until the next time I come back!

Enjoyable! We hopped in for dinner on Tuesday night (made a reservation day prior). The meatballs were delicious, and we enjoyed the chopped salad, sausage pie, and mortadella pizza as well. Service was friendly and terrific. Great casual, neighborhood vibe. Lots of bar seating which I'll be eying for a future casual drop in visit.

So a friend of mine told me about this place when it was called flour and water I believe we walked pretty far to get there just to find out they were temporarily close but was informed via Internet that they were changing the name yellow Mato and doing a re-opening now my friend has been craving for this place again because it was something he already tried and me being a chef he wanted me to experience the same wonderful sensations he felt when he ate there so couple weeks later we came back to the re-opening sat inside and ordered the Hawaiian pizza sorry I don't recall the exact name and mozzarella sticks... soon as we order the mozzarella sticks next thing you know they were on the table like literally it must have been something that was already previously made because that was too quick of a turnaround the pizza came out and timely manner and it looked amazing I'm a huge fan of pineapple on pizza we let the pizza cool down a little bit before picking it up to take first bite But as I picked a pizza slice up every thing slides off :( oh and the bottom of the pizza was like the Dough wasn't fully done I was very sad that I literally had to use a fork in it to eat the toppings that's slid off of my pizza One thing that caught my eye was how nice all the workers were I could tell there was a lot of new employees which was amazing giving people jobs they attended to everybody such positive attitudes
Be the first to ReplyPretty great pizza place.
Got two pies, the Bibb Salad, Ricotta Meatballs, and the Soft Serve Swirl with EVOO and salt for dessert. The pies were made pretty well, and the crust was surprisingly amazing. The salad was fine and the meatballs were good but probably too much for two people. I really loved the soft serve with olive oil and salt. Very simple but sublime. They have very friendly staff that seated us right away on a Friday night at 6:30pm. They also have a designated takeout counter for easy pickups. Would definitely come back!
Be the first to ReplyJust ordered thru their website via DoorDash.
Although I clicked on Special Instructions, it was greyed out. Ordered. Then called to ask for something and no one ever answered the phone. Please fix website so I can actually enter my specifications or answer the phone. It's called Customer Service and is a huge part of working with the public.
Be the first to ReplyAverage quality and value.
Nothing special and wouldn't make another trip there. 3 figures for couple pizzas and meatballs with salad. In addition they asked for 20% gratuity. Nah....

It was a challenge to get our lovely light thin crust pizza on Friday night. Maybe it's the transition or always this way.... We were visiting and this pizza was highly recommended but no online ordering and no one answers the phone. Went over and ordered in person and it was very busy and lots of training going on. They have about 10 pizzas on their menu and we ordered The Sausage and it was ready in 15 minutes. Great pizza and very thin (which we love). Wish it had the smoked mozzarella, taggiasca olives, rosemary listed on the menu with the sausage..... If we're in the area again, we'd be happy to order again. We also tried Delfina this week and they had very nice thin crust pizza.

I went a few months back with a friend from college after moving to the city in February. I had heard so many good things about Flour + Water in general , both the main pasta location and this Pizza one, so I was very excited. With that being said, I found the experience underwhelming overall. My friend and I split two pizzas - The Hawaiian and The Pepperoni. The pizza was overall ok , and you could tell the ingredients were all of excellent quality. However the crust was kinda flimsy, the toppings were a little soupy and the flavor of everything together was kind of dissapointing. I've had better slices of pizza in SF from Slice shops in this city.Long story short, I'd reccomend everyone try this place atleast once. But I feel it is overhyped and overpriced for what it is : just an average pizza.P.S. - Their Pasta shop/ restaurant is * i n c r e d i b l e* . Well worth it and a total 5/5 stars.

Be the first to ReplyLeaving a PIZZA of my heart back East, it has been hard
Leaving a PIZZA of my heart back East, it has been hard finding high quality pizza since returning home to San Francisco. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised by Flour+Water Pizzeria. The service was incredible from the moment my college best friend and I sat down to our entire dining experience. All staff were so delightful. We each had a spritz ($13) and shared a Hawaiian pizza ($23). The spritz was unlike any that we had ever had, tasting more like an amalgamation of a Moscow Mule, Sunkist Soda, and Sparkling water. The Hawaiian pizza was spicy, cheesey, and oh so warm, which we then topped off with Parmesan cheese and chili flakes. Overall, a great dining experience.

Dined in on a Sunday afternoon! That day they were only seating people outdoors it seemed, which was fine but I wish they were allowing people to sit indoors since our table had a really bad glare reflecting from the sun. We ordered the butternut squash arancini, the ricotta meatballs (GET THIS, it's so delicious!), and two pizzas. The meatballs come with two pieces of pizza bread which are so good dipped in the sauce and ricotta. For pizzas, we got the OG bear (white pizza, with mushrooms and spinach) and the sausage pizza. Both were soooo good. ย Wouldn't expect anything less from flour+water though! I'd love to come back and try some of their other pizzas.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was overpriced and dissapointing.
We saw the line and since I like pizza I thought, "hey, let's try this!"First off, the crust was so hard it was like a dry breadstick.Secondly, the pizza was so salty after one slice I couldn't continue with another slice. The pepperoni was also extremely salty and it was lacking cheese and sauce.Just a huge waste of money.

This place is super yummy but make sure to get a reservation. I'd recommend the burrata pizza paired with a Lambrusco.

We are big fans of this place but our experience tonight sucked. The host was the reason. He also ended up being our waiter. Whoever played the role of host at 7pm on Wednesday, March 2nd needs to do better. I will come back and hopefully get the same good experience we've had in our many prior visits. If this happens again, I will be back on Yelp to share the details. :-(

do you ever have a pizza craving that just keeeeeps nagging at you? well that was me so I had to come to flour + water with some friends. there was a bit of a wait for a table on a friday evening but that's expected. they do need your entire party to seat you and they are dog friendly!we had the ricotta meatballs, pepperoni pizza, sausage pizza, and margherita with prosciutto. the meatballs were decent but the star was really the sauce they were sitting in. we cleaned the entire plate! pizza was a bit chewy for my taste after a few slices as my jaw started to get sore but the flavors are definitely there. we got arugula on the side and topped our pizza off. however it's $3 extra and I could tell the arugula was not fresh. MUST order is definitely the icecream and you can't go wrong with the vanilla. even after stuffing ourselves, we just couldn't resist dessert! no regrets

Delicious! Honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Because they aren't super huge, my friends and I ordered a few to share. One friend felt strongly about the mushroom one, and while I was not excited at first, it actually ended up being my favorite. Amazing flavors, delicious crust, and lovely sauce!

Good service, casual spot for decent, crisp and thin-crust pizza. The butternut arancini was delicious, reminiscent of plant-based meatballs I've had. Caesar salad was rich but not too much. Cappelletti spritz was perfect--definitely get one! And the pizza was decent, although I prefer Fiorella's for this style of pizza--something about the cheese or sauce or something. My husband and I split all three dishes and we left stuffed.
Be the first to ReplyThe crust was very special, puffy and with great texture.
I also love the meat ball dish. A bit expensive but delicious overall.

This restaurant is always fully booked and we finally got a reservation a few weeks in advance. Unfortunately, I think this place is overhyped. The Ricotta Meatballs were average. The sauce on top of the Burrata Pie was salty. The ingredients combination on Broccoli Rabe was a little weird in terms of taste. We essentially ordered the highlights of their menu and were unimpressed.

Don't do it! ย Food not as yummy as Delfina's and the service? ย Well...they forgot my pizza and order.
Be the first to ReplyGreat pizza and crust.
I normally don't eat crust but it was so good, this time I did. We ordered the margherita and OG and both were excellent. My niece is the pickiest eater on the planet and she took one bite and said "mmm, this is really good!" I agreed. And this was delivery so I'd imagine it would taste even better if we ate at the restaurant
