Food was not overwhelmingly awesome, nor was it totally underwhelming.... Basically a pretty average meal that was overpriced for what they provided. Food - Ranged from a few pretty tasty cuts of meat, a few VERY salty, while others had almost no flavor. Several bites of meat tasted like old fatty burnt grease and had to be spit out. This was a observation from both people in my party. The salad bar was pretty good quality and reasonably fresh. Some of the mozzarella on the caprese was very dry and tough, which can only mean it sat for a long time. Also found it annoying that they offered a 9:00 reservation, but they close at 9... They were starting to clean up and shut down the salad bar area about minutes after we were seated. Not a huge deal, and maybe that's why the meat seemed to be a bit lacking. Service - Servers were generally attentive. Our server changed 3 times, but each person was polite and asked if we had any special requests. Just seemed odd that a new one kept coming and introducing themself, but it was late in the evening. Best part - Definitely a large quantity of food. Areas to improve - This is a quantity over quality type of place. If you truly appreciate a good tasting steak, go to a real steakhouse. The thing that left the worst taste in my mouth was when I got the bill, we were charged 15 bucks for water. The first server asked if we wanted "sparkling or still water" to which I responded "regular water is fine". Apparently the water costs 7.50 each. I wouldn't have cared if I was advised ahead of time, but it just felt shady when the bill came. Also $4.00 for a regular can of coke seems excessive. I don't mind paying for quality, but I don't like being taken advantage of. Bottom line - I probably will not come back. I frequent a couple steakhouses that cost similar money, offer less variety but are much higher quality. If you are someone who isn't picky about meat, and you want a lot of different selections, you Fogo might be a great choice for you.
