Super sick ambiance, great attentive service, food came out quick and was flavorful and well portioned. Would recommend a million times.
This place is just ok.
I think it's overpriced for what you get and it's silly to have to pay for white rice. On another note, the service was excellent and the restaurant itself is super cute!

host was so rude, we came to the restaurant to celebrate my sisters birthday and she denied us an hour before close. Mind you we tried eating here before and it was the same experience. Honestly disappointed.
The food has definitely changed over the years.

The ambiance was very nice.
The decorations and vibes inside were also pretty. However, that was really the only good thing with my experience at Fortunate Son. The food was okay, not bad but definitely not the best Chinese food in SD. Portion sizes are bigger than regular bu
One of the best Chinese places in San Diego.
Parking can be tough to come by and wait times are usually long, so recommend getting there early and grabbing drinks next door while you wait. Most items are family style with large portions. We love the Dan Dan noodles, crab rangoons, and broccoli

The ambience is lovely and staff is very friendly.
Unfortunately, the food is way too salty! It was so overbearlingly salty we couldn't eat more than a few bites. Noodles are really oily. No other flavor but salt unfortunately.

If you go here, you have to get the honey walnut shrimp.
It was probably the best honey walnut shrimp I have ever tasted. The General Tso's Chicken was kinda spicy (I can't handle spice very well so it might just be me). Lo Mien was just alright, probably won't get it again, there wasn't that much flavor.

Food Review only as service and ambiance were great! I hate to write this as I was attracted to the decor; I had optimistic hope for the food as this place only has 3.8/5 rating. We arrived at 3:10pm shortly after they opened at 3pm. No one was ar

It's good food! The quality is kind of like an upscaled Panda Express (mid-quality Chinese food) but you can't beat the price. We did family style 4-5 dishes split amongst 5 people and it came out to like $10 a person. Ambiance (especially at night)
