Great Italian centrally located
My son and I came here for lunch and had a delicious meal. The service was efficient, atmosphere businesslike and it was a full house. Loved it.
Be the first to ReplyFrankly great
Great Italian restaurant in a lovely location. Beef carpaccio special was excellent as was the pappardelle with chicken livers. Atmosphere is nice and buzzy particularly for a business lunch. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Not cheap but that’s to be expected given the clientele.

Visited recently on a Thursday evening, and having enjoyed drinks and canapés at a earlier event, we were just looking for a main course. We were both delighted with our main courses, my partner chose a mushroom pasta dish and reported it to be packed with mushrooms and flavour. I had ricotta and asparagus tortellini, which came garnished with fresh asparagus. The tortellini was clearly made in- house with beautiful delicate pieces of asparagus within. The service was a teeny bit slow to start with, they initially forgot to bring us menus but this was rectified fairly quickly and we had a very enjoyable evening. Not the cheapest place to eat pasta, but then for the venue and location you have to expect to pay a little more.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing vegan dish
I had very a disappointing vegan meal - tomato pasta. There was very little tomato sauce and it wasn't well seasoned. Very dry and tasteless Poor value for money and I won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyAppalling, dreadful, avoid. Terrible service
We went there last night with some friends who highly recommended this restaurant. Firstly, after about 20 minutes, we actually had to ask for menus then it was another good 25 minutes before anyone came to take the order. Again, this was having asked what was going on and please could somebody take our order, especially as many tables that came in after us, not only had their order taken, but we’re already being served their starters… preferential treatment? Then, and only then did somebody actually come and place some olives, nuts, and a basket of bread on the table. This was after nearly an hour. The starters eventually arrived and all seemed well. I myself did not order a starter as I can rarely fit in two courses… Let’s get to the main course, we all ordered the same thing, the veal chop main course which promised much along with a couple of sides. Eventually, our main courses arrived. I could see immediately that mine had not been trimmed at all and the fat on the outside not rendered down and whilst I understand, a little fat is needed for cooking and taste purposes what was left on my chop was quite gross, plus which upon tasting a mouthful was cold, as yet no vegetables served. Again after trying for quite awhile to get somebody’s attention, we mentioned that we were still waiting for our side dishes. By this time our friends had almost finished their meal we were all still waiting for the sides that had been ordered. When only 1 plate of the zucchini actually arrived, I had gone past everything and my friends and husband had finished and the main discussion of the evening was how disappointed we were. We asked to speak to the manager. And even he took his time coming over to our table, we explained all our concerns, and he nodded politely and said that he would adjust the bill accordingly. At this point, we advised him that whatever he was planning to do that he should most definitely not even consider applying the service charge. I asked him to take my plate away.… And no thank you, I would not like anything else and eat alone and also mentioned the missing other side dish which can you believe it still took another 15 minutes to arrive even though they could clearly see that three of the mains had been finished, and mine had been taken away so what was the point of bringing anything more. This was at least 30 minutes after the main course was served. My husband nearly lost it completely then and told the manager not to insult us by even bringing that to the table at this stage and our friends who had been many times before definitely complained that there was preferential treatment going on and generally this establishment must be short staffed. Thriving on past glory one wonders? We most definitely will not be returning, recommending and although our friends company was great the evening was ruined for all of us and in these economic times that is a real shame. We work hard to enjoy a Saturday night out and do not expect an establishment like this to be so deplorable. They did try to make it up to us by adjusting our bill, nevertheless the damage was done! I fail to see how this restaurant gets any good reviews and repeat custom. Our friends have also reported this on Quango , which it was booked through. Go anywhere else!!

Walked in without a booking and was swiftly accommodated. Service was impeccable. Food was outstanding. Atmosphere was welcoming. Would recommend the lobster linguine. Will definitely be back soon.
Be the first to ReplyThey don’t open over Easter but accept bookings only to cancel them.
Booked well in advance but cancelled last minute due to not opening over Easter. Why accept the booking and have it booked for about 3 weeks and then cancel it due to not opening over Easter? Please update your website!
Be the first to ReplyEggs Benedict on value white slice of toast? Have never seen the like.
Attractive room, busy and buzzing with business types for breakfast - but very disappointed that my eggs Benedict appeared not on two buttered muffins but on one slice of value white toast. A VERY STRANGE CHOICE by Franco's - I have never encountered that before. Did they run out of muffins? If so - how about explaining to the customer and asking if they would like brown or white toast - or something else? PLUS - it's a high end Italian restaurant - how about some nice focaccia instead? but good grief not a bog standard slice of white toast.....FFS.

So, we knew it would be pricey, but then you expect something a bit out of the ordinary don’t you. Well it wasn’t. The burrata dish for example was uninspired to say the least - a few basic components assembled on a plate. That said the veal in the vitello tonnato was perfectly poached and tasty; just a bit overpowered by the capers and anchovies. The ‘classic lasagna’ would have been more at home in a classic trattoria and needed a good 10 minutes before it was cool enough to eat safely. Then the coffee - which you expect to be great in an Italian restaurant of this calibre, but again we were disappointed. While the service was generally attentive, this may have been more due to wanting us in and out in the shortest possible time (for example, the first course arrived before the aperitifs were finished and the between-course pause we requested was hardly noticeable). Would we go back? Well the good bits (including the casually elegant surroundings) didn’t weigh up against the rest. So, no.

Ended up by chance. It was still early, but we'll be there for dinner. Great meal. Service was neat.
Be the first to ReplyGood but you pay for it
This has been a regular of ours for a number of years. The food is excellent with great choice and consistency. Some of the best Italian in London. Service is always good and welcoming. The wine list is very comprehensive and they have a good Sommelier. My biggest criticism is that the mark ups on the wines is verging on egregious. They have excellent wines but be prepared to pay 3-4x what you would pay retail. I always come away having had a good time but you definitely pay for it.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, excellent service
This was a business breakfast for 6 people. The food was excellent, the service was top notch. Many thanks to Sandrine for looking after us with such TLC: friendly, attentive and very professional.
Be the first to ReplyNever again.
We are March 2023 and this place is nothing compared to what it was about three years ago, before Covid. The dishes are prepared long in advance and do obviously not look fresh. Table service is ok but the staff behaves like children in a playground. There was only 1 customer in the first room; but that is no reason to stand shouting and laughing and singing while waiting for other customers. That one customer might be a critic....
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Italian to get our holiday started
We had lunch here at the start of a holiday and it really got things off to a great start. The food was great across 3 courses with outstanding service and an excellent wine list. The restaurant was crowded with a lot of business people so there was a pleasant buzz about the place, yet it still felt upscale and relaxed. Thanks for a great lunch and we hope to be back!

Some of the best Italian Food in London and Great for Vegetarians with a separate menu. Deserts very good and pasta some of the best in London!
Be the first to ReplyUpscale Italian with Panache on Jermyn Street
We had an excellent Italian dinner at Franco’s. Upscale and sophisticated. Nice Negroni to start; expansive Italian wine list with reasonable choices. The vitello tonnato was perfectly prepared for an appetizer; loved the strozapretti with wild boar; and you can have smaller portions if desired. Excellent service.

The food here is absolutely Devine!! Took a while for staff to take drink orders however the overall experience was great. Staff really friendly and informative. Wish I lived closer so I could go back regularly!!! Thanks Francos team 😊
Be the first to ReplyVery smart Italian restaurant
Been here a few times and always had a good meal. Very smart service and excellent Italian food. Definitely on the pricier end of the scale.
Be the first to ReplyVery good and friendly Italian restaurant. Recommended!
We have been coming here for years with our Italian family. It is consistently good, very friendly and offers great service. if I am honest, it feels like it has lifted its foot of the gas a little in recent visits. That said, it still remains one of the best Italian restaurants in London and true to our country's cooking.

Excellent service with great & authentic food, we really enjoyed and waiting for our next visit that we hope will be soon.
Be the first to ReplyUnfortunately, the experience was far from expectations.
Good availability for a party of three on a Saturday night in May. Very good location with tasteful decor and comfortable chairs. Was professionally welcomed and shown to our table, pretty hungry all of us. We ordered three different dishes. I chose the lobster linguini as the main course for 46 GBP. The wine list was perfectly OK and we chose a bottle of Prosecco for 42 GBP. This one came quickly and so did the food. I can not hide that the expectations for my lobster linguine were sky high. Rarely have expectations and experience been so far apart! The portion was so small that for a moment I thought it was the starter that came on the table. Boringly cooked. The taste was the same. Definitely not worth the money. The other guests in the company were perhaps not so disappointed. One chose Tortelini Asparagus for 24 GBP. This also boring and very small portion. The third person chose the classic lasagna for 24 GBP, which actually tasted good. The portion was also OK (if you are not hungry). On the other hand, there was no bread on the table… Not good! I would also like to conclude by mentioning that the waitress could probably benefit from taking a course to learn what incourages the guest’s generosity. Maybe she had a fixed salary?

Authentic Italian to its fingertips. Polished, professional service, exquisite food, sophisticated ambience. It’s been around since 1945, so they should know what they’re doing. They do. What took us so long to discover this hidden gem? We shall return…maybe next time for lunch on a sunny day. Ciao, Giovanni, and grazie for the champagne. Tanti complimenti

This Italian restaurant is just off Piccadilly, easy to locate. Just the right amount of "buzz" in the dining room. Service is fast and elegant. 4 of us ate here, all ordered Italian dishes, all were delicious. Sorry that I cannot remember specifics.
Be the first to ReplyNot impressed
We visited for dinner with another couple . The restaurant is in Jermyn Street and is very well appointed . The staff were attentive and the ambience was good. We each had a starter and a Pasta main course , with 3 deserts. My very small lasagne was quite frankly very poor ....full of cheese and almost no ragu and came at a whopping £ 24 . The desserts were excellent, but again very expensive . The main issue for me was the overall price , £100 per head for a meal without any excessive alcohol , is just not justified in my opinion . I have to say the staff were very good , but the cost is just not justified by the food and high cost "extras" .
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Italian food and service
Excellent food. My wife’s fish was marginally over cooked but I have not qualified the star rating as I visit regularly and that is the only food quibble in numerous visits. Our guests loved it: for a high end restaurant it is informal and buzzy. Full of business diners but also for family/ friends. My rabbit ravioli was sensational, as was the duck. A great wine selection though it quickly moves to higher prices. A great evening: service is always first rate.
