Great Value 5-Course Sicilian Menu!
Decor is soothing with understated elegance. Rare find- Sicilian food and Sicilian wine! Starters included raw Hokkaido scallop, prawns & a touch of caviar, followed by delicately cooked cod with pistachios and cauliflower accents. Option of angel hair pasta with sea urchin (add supplement of $18) or large Japanese clams. Choice of mains - Salt Baked Seabass or slow cooked wagyu beef cheek. We chose the latter but found that it lacked the punch although it was very tender. Dessert was really special because of the sheep ricotta mousse with pistachio ice cream. Total cost (S$ 650) was higher than expected because the wine was expensive.

A friend and I had the Executive Set Lunch at $58++ each. We had the Tiger Prawn salad for starter and our main was yellowfin tuna steak with sicilian caponato sauce. I absolutely love the tangy citrusy caponato sauce so much so I attempted to cook it a week later. To top off this delicious meal, we chose tiramisu as our dessert. Superb delicious meal and excellent service.
Gattopardo is only 3 mins walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT station, and less than 2 mins from Maxwell House.
We really enjoyed our lunch and would be back soon. Bravo for its Michelin 2021 accolade.
Executive Lunch
The executive lunch was very good with a lot of choices for each course. The food was amazing and service impeccable. Tiramisu at the end of meal summed it all. Definitely highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food n service
Enjoyed the Sicily Italian set dinner tasting menu. All dishes were done to perfection esp the ravioli and signature baked fish. Very attentive manager + staffs. Well recommended wine to pair w food. have already reserved to come back next month
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, nice restaurant
Went for dinner with friends. This was our third attempt (had to cancelled previously due to covid restrictions). It was worth the wait. Food is delicious, service was attentive but not intimidating and the restaurant ambience is spot on. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Will be back soon
Be the first to ReplyTotally worth it
Great service, great food, great atmosphere. For sure worth a détour or a stop to try the scallop, or the deserts. Very nice main courses as well. Not the best hamachi I have eaten in Singapore but a very good nevertheless.
Not worth it
I was somewhat disappointed with their wine selection and also their 5 course sicilian journey menu. The food is not good quality. The truffles come from a jar. The location is quite nice though and the staff is friendly.

Very disappointing experience.
With One-star award, I would expect more.
The foods are not bad for no-star. But does it worth for one-star-Michelin ? I doubt so.
Food : 5-course meals
1)The octopus is tasty yet over burnt ,ended up with rubbery texture.
2)The squid ink pasta added with chilly sauce - yes trying to be innovative. Gosh . Nope. Please don't insult Italian foods. The best squid ink pasta i ever had in Italy at Carpi, the squid ink pasta should represent the sweetness of sea foods .
3) truffle ravioli - the portion is very small even for ONE person
Service :
1) There is no phone call for confirmation again before 24-hour (not Michelin Star standard)
2) We had to try to get attention from the staff twice in order to get our bread. Yet the other table , who were only having business lunch got their bread right away. Make me wonder because I am local Singaporean and not a white thus I being ignored.
After thoughts:
Will I go there again ? No. BIG NO.
Please stop putting chilly sauce into sea urchin Pasta.
NO !!! It's not creative . It totally killed /covered the sweetness/freshness of sea urchin.
To the chief - Sometimes, the less is more. It's true in both in fashion and food !
Understated good food, and service with character
I've tried virtually all the Western/Fusion restaurants along Tras Street, with several notable ones enjoying high ratings but require reservation weeks in advance. Gattopardo is one that I was able to book on same day on Sat, which is what my wife and I prefer to do for weekend dining out. We also prefer degustation menus and Gattopardo's prices are not overly exorbitant compared to some others. The seafood served were fresh and ingredients well complemented. Unlike some of the other European style, the presentation is relatively simple, no fuss or frills, and we kind of like it that way. I, for one, am not so taken by the pretty small dishes served in the fancier restaurants. The wine pairing was also good value for the quality.
The dining experience was enhanced by the three nice staff serving us, who were witty and engaging, yet not intrusive. Tina was charming, Raul was competent and attentive, and Giedrius, the sommelier, was informative, in more ways than one.
Chef Giovanni also came by at the end of dinner for a nice chat.
The experience suits us as a couple, married for decades, looking for a night out that was more than enjoying good food. We would be back again.
