Great Steaks in the City
Every restaurant in the chain has a consistent offering. Whilst there are other choices, one comes here for the amazing steaks. A great choice of wines, but generally, one is drawn to Malbec. It can be a little noisy at times, so better to be at the side. Staff, as ever, make the difference.
Be the first to ReplyWorst steak I've ever had
Was looking forward to this since it was booked. Steak is my favourite meal and I hear gaucho specialise in steak. The steak I was served was the worst steak I've had in my life. Never good news when your steak is size of a slice of bacon and Light grey in colour. Gaucho should be ashamed
Be the first to ReplyGreat Experience!!
Visited for the first time and must say I will definitely be back! The food was amazing and our waitress Violetta did a great job at recommending us a few dishes that were must tries. Will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible Roast Dinner
Very poor roast dinner. Tasteless roasties (frozen) undercooked vegetables, hardly any gravy and very doughy Yorkshire. Incredibly disappointing meal. Do not go here for a Sunday roast - you will be let down
Be the first to ReplyWonderful experience
This place was wonderful. The food was delicious. The staff very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place for every occasion.
Be the first to ReplyFab brunch
Fab brunch with friends! We were put in the semi-private room and the staff were very attentive. Violet looked after us!
Be the first to ReplyPoor quality meat
I’m only writing this review as I have been to this place at least 5 times in Q4 2023 and most recently today. The quality of meat is terrible. Today, we ordered 2kg Goucho sampler. Literally every cut of steak was chewy, no flavour, no seasoning. This is the 3rd meal where the quality of food has been poor. Will be taking my business elsewhere
Be the first to ReplyCoffee? Apparently 'not on our licence' 🤣
Pleasant staff, good value brunch for London, especially if you're a big drinker 🤣 We were not on a mission, had just three drinks each and would have liked a coffee to round it off. Unavailable at any price... what a ridiculous state of affairs!!
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced steak & chips that is not that good!
Arrived as a party of six and the whole experience was rushed. Our waitress would not give us any space, continually pushing to take the next course order, and forever leaning over us to clear the table. A real need of training required here. As for the food it was not great, it was just steak & chips with very little flavour and certainly did not match all the hype. We were totally underwhelmed with a disappointing, extremely poor value for money dining experience, What a shame!
Be the first to ReplySaturday Brunch - Not what we expected
We booked a Gaucho Brunch at £70 a head for 2.30 on a Saturday afternoon. Arrived at 2.15, (2 of the party had issues getting a taxi and we asked if we could push the reservation back by 15 mins but were advised that the venue closed at 4.30, fair enough. This wasn’t their fault). Sat down and our lovely waitress explained about the drinks/meal. Starters were lovely and certainly in abundance but came very shortly after we sat down (before others in our party arrived). Within 20 mins of being seated we were asked for our mains order. 4 of us had steak eggs and chips and 2 had the other steak choice. No option to add any extras such as a salad. Literally as soon as our starters were cleared away the mains were served. The steaks with the egg and chips were no thicker that a slice of bacon. Absolutely pathetic. Chips hard and dry, eggs hard. No salt and pepper on the table or any sauces etc. the quality of the food was terrible and we all sent our ‘steaks’ back. By the time our new meals came back we had maybe 20 mins of our brunch left. Dessert wasn’t much better either. The smallest square of a chocolate brownie (which was so gooey in the middle it had barely been cooked) and small dollop of ice cream. We were reminded that our brunch was due to finish soon at 3.40, 3.50 and last orders were at 4. At 4.10 we were told we had 20 mins left on the table and again reminded at 4.20. By 4.30 our coats were ready and we left. I’d say that we probably had 5 drinks each maximum(some only had 3). Gauchos did remove one of the meals from our bill (we did not request this). But we would have preferred to have a decent meal. Everything felt cheap and incredibly rushed. I still can’t get over the thickness of the steak. This needs to be advertised as a minute steak and the weight given. I expected steak. At least it would level people’s expectations. After all. Gauchos is a steak restaurant! A real shame as this was our works Christmas meal out. I ended up having a McDonald’s on the way home……the burger in that was better! Overall. This review is not aimed towards the lovely lady who was our waitress and you will see from my other reviews I very rarely ever write a bad review as I appreciate how hard things are in the hospitality industry, working in it myself, but this felt incredibly cheap and rushed.
Be the first to ReplyGood but overcharged meat
Good ambiance in an underground location in Broadgate. Argentinian meat cuts well introduced by the waiter and indeed tasty; it is a bit oppressing and annoying however that the waiters aim to sell all sorts of chargeable items all along the dinner, resulting in a bill that feels way too high for the experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Service and good food.
Good food but the stand out was the service. Big thanks to Rosella for such a warm welcome and top notch service. Great cocktails and wine.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and amazing service!
We were in London for a couple of nights and have eaten at a few other Gaucho’s before. This particular restaurant in Broadway was absolutely superb! Staff were very attentive. Particularly our wonderful Waitress Violetta who was extremely helpful with the menu not only for food but also wine pairing choices. She was wonderfully pleasant and made a busy bustling restaurant feel very relaxed and intimate. Thank you Violetta. Food was outstanding and we’ll most definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyGauchos - broad gate
I had such a wonderful experience at gauchos in broad gate. I had the pleasure of having Christina and Katie as my hosts and they were nothing short of exceptional. Superb customer service and support throughout the evening and I hope upon my return to the restaurant I will have them both looking after me during my experience!
Be the first to ReplyPerfect for a business lunch
I visited here for the first time this week with a customer and it was excellent. The service was on point throughout and we always had what we needed when we needed it. Recommendations from the server were spot on so we didn't over or under order either. As you'd expect the rump steak was excellent and cooked to a perfect mid-rare, the béarnaise was one of the best I have ever tasted! I wasn't entirely keen on the chips because they tasted a little over cooked but the broccoli was again excellent. I will definitely be back for business and with colleagues.

A party of 7 on a London visit, brilliant evening, fantastic food and outstanding service. 100% revisit and recommend 👍
Be the first to ReplySplendid
Third time gaucho visit, 2 in Canary Wharf and third time here. Venue looked fabulous, very empty as it was the tfl strike. Service was very attentive, high standards. Really likes the raw food presentation in the beginning. We went for the sampler 1.2kg option which was extremely good, however it was just way too much for 2 person as we had sides and bread earlier too. Quality was spot on. Overall was better experience then the wharf. Definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyLoved it
Fantastic! We had 6 dishes each (all delicious) and multiple cocktails - our waitress Violet was very attentive, will definitely be returning!!
Be the first to ReplyAwful barman
Bad customer service. Barman today was too busy on his phone and got annoyed when we asked for salt for our tequila shots. Irony is restaurant was dead and we felt like we were disturbing him.
Be the first to ReplyExecuted to perfection!
We had the Chateaubriand and it was absolutely cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauces were fantastic. The service was flawless and made for a very memorable dining experience. The price was reasonable given the current cost of beef. Highly recommend going to this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced & disappointing
Walking down the stairs & into this restaurant it suddenly dawned on you that the place was left than half empty. It felt soulless and lacks any atmosphere. We were seated almost on our own, couldn’t see any other diners or the kitchen. The ambiance and atmosphere of a restaurant has such an influence over your dining experience. They don’t do the meat board ‘lesson’ anymore. A real shame. Food was ok but it’s just so overpriced it spoils it for me. You can buy the steak I had and cook it perfectly far cheaper. My steak was meant to be medium rare but was over cooked. It went back but took so long for a new one to arrive by the ti E it did I ate mine on my own. The restaurant did take £20 off the bill for this but it totally spoilt my experience. The water is grossly overpriced. The bread was tasteless. The chips are literally skin on fries that could have come out the freezer from ASDA for £1.50. Boring & unimaginative. Dessert….just overpriced stoge. The restatement had lots of diners, dressed VERY casually. Trainers, tracksuits etc. fine dining this place isn’t. The waitress was very nice and helpful but this didn’t make up for forgettable experience I had. Expensive and not worth it quite frankly. Gaucho is a dated concept and I won’t be returning any time soon. If ever.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious food. Great location. Angelica thanks for great service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service at Gaucho! Thank you Klaudia!
Great food and excellent service! Absolutely loved the evening and perfect place to spend our sons 18th birthday. A big thank you to Klaudia our waitress who was amazing and really made it special for us.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and better service
Business meal with some tired people. Waitress (Angelica) gave us an overview of the menu and advised best mix of starters mains and extras. Went on to select a couple of great wines then looked after us for the rest our stay. Rarely see that level of professionalism , and made a great night. Thank you
