Another Out of the Way NYC Spot
We stopped into this east village eatery and bar for an espresso. It was good, a little sour, but good. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe, and you could smell how gokd the thin crust pizza would be. They have their own garden out back, and the freshness of the ingridients was apparent. Godd vibe, good food, a perfect friends spot.

Love this place and can't say enough good things about it. Took my shop their for our holiday party. The staff there was super accommodating and my group of 18 people loved it.

Love this place - the bartenders and servers are kind and welcoming and the food is delicious. Grandma pie is great if you like more traditional tomato-sauce based pizza, but the more adventurous pies are delicious too -- I love the Capo the Great. Cocktails are fantastic, especially the Let Them Drink Margaritas and Grape Drink.

At the last minute my 3 friends and I decided to go out for pizza, one of the girls recommended GG's and so off we went. We got there at prime dinner time on a Saturday night so no tables were available for another 30 minutes. No worries though! We sat at the bar and ordered a pitcher of drinks that were delicious! After a few minutes looking over the menu we could not wait for a table and decided to order a couple of salads (kale and caesar) and a couple of pizzas (round pie and grandma's pie). Sitting at the bar turned out great as the food arrived we were able to comfortably eat and joke with the bartender. Overall we had a wonderful night and I would definitely go back the next time I'm in town!

This unassuming place is a wonderful and very cool place. Nice open air dining overlooking the urban setting of the East Village. Diverse menu with a number of specialty appetizers and entrees, all the way through coffee and dessert. Service was friendly and very attentive!

I visited a third time with another friend, so obviously I like the food. The pizzas were great, but even better was the fact that it was not crowded, and the thus the noise level was much more civilized and tolerable. My friend had a Bibb salad that she liked, and we each had a round pizza. She had the Ebony and Ivory and I had the Capo the Great. For me, the crust makes or breaks a pizza, and their crust is pretty darn good -- thin, with a nice crunch, but also a satisfying pull as you bite into it.

Ate here for the first time with family. It's a small, clean little neighborhood place with subway tile decor and populated with East Village hipsters. The food was okay. We tried the pizza, which turned out to be large and Sicilian style (think thick slice crust), but the sauce tasted very bland. It wasn't your typical sweet tomato sauce. We also tried the "GG's Breakfast" which was two eggs (any style), bacon, potatoes and spoon bread (like corn bread, but not as sweet and slightly more thick in texture), which was also just okay. Nothing we had knocked our socks off.
