Be prepared to spend a lot of money
We went as a group for a 50th birthday party. The reservation was ready when we got there and they sat us quickly. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff were attentive right away. The menu is pretty extensive and can be a little confusing, however they offer some full menu options at a set price (appies, meal and dessert). As a group we all choose the Dragon option as it had most of what we would all order. We also added the wine pairing option as we all enjoy both wine and pairing experiences. The price is steep, much more then we've ever paid for a pairing in Vegas, but it was a birthday so we went with it. We thought you got to choose from each of the sections...you get ALL the food in each section! It was a lot of food. Each dish was portioned so we could all have enough and everything tasted amazing. Here is where it fell apart a bit though. The bring everything at one...all the appies, them all the mains and then all the desserts. And they come fast! It was too much all at once as we couldn't recall what each dish was as it's placed on a large central spinning piece so by the time everyone grabs some, there is no remembering what anything was. Some are obvious, but others look way to similar. The other issue was the paring. Because the food came so fast it was hard for them to keep up with the pairing. There was also no explanation of what each pairing was or why. Because everything comes at once you only get one wine to enjoy with ALL the mains etc. Unfortunately it felt rushed, even though we were there almost 3 hours. The food was enjoyable and the staff were great, but it was a very expensive evening and not something I think I could justify again.

Amazing food and beautiful setting. However, I don't understand why I had to make a reservation when there were clearly a lot of empty tables... all evening. I recommend the chicken tsao and the scampi udon
Be the first to ReplyVery cool
Beautiful venue. Good food, top bar counter and bartenders. I encountered a waiter who was a bit "lazy" but I don't care because overall the place is perfect. Only complaint: the excessive scent of flowers at the entrance
Be the first to ReplyThe BEST Hakkasan in the world!
Outstanding experience! Excellent service, exquisite food and a super cool club vibe! My favorite restaurant in the 🌎!
Be the first to ReplyThe only “bad” hakkasan restaurant in the world
We have visited another Hakkasan restaurants and Las Vegas branch does not reflect what the brand is about. Hostess are very unfriendly, she was more interested talking to another hostess rather than taking care of clients. Food was amazing. Our waiter was very disappointing. We were not finished with appetizers when main courses came into the table, making the experience very uncomfortable. We had to place our finished and dirty dishes in the table next door as nobody came to clean up the table. When we finished main courses we had to call someone yo clean up the table. We needed yo ask for the bill 2 times. The restaurant was not full at all, we were like only 6 tables taken in the entire restaurant. When we left the hostess were chatting between them and did not say goodbye or anything.
Be the first to ReplyModern atmosphere, exceptional food
We love the modern atmosphere and sophisticated menu. Tasting menus that change with the seasons offer an excellent overview of their multitude of offerings. For special occasions, the HK Peking Duck with caviar is spectacular, so much so that it can sell out. The service is consistently knowledgeable and attentive. The desserts are delightful works of art, and at times they offer a dessert sampler that is worth saving room for. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTaste of Hakkasan menu is a little sneaky… but
We saw the taste of Hakksan menu advertised through out the MGM Grand so thought we would I’ve it a go (again). The website also listed that menu, but when we visited there was no mention of it anywhere. We asked if we could order from it and the waiter had to check and report back… thankfully we were able to. The portions were quite small for two people to share, but it was very tasty and we enjoyed it. The service was impeccable as always. We love this restaurant and will always return, but it did seem a bit sneaky that they didn’t seem to want those in the restaurant itself to know about the taste of hakksan menu… All in all, very good!
Be the first to ReplySpecial Kind Of Chinese Dishes
One of the top 5 Chinese restaurants in the world in our books (along with Wing Lei at Wynn Macau (NOT the one in Vegas which is ugh), Crystal Jade in Hong Kong, Mott32 in Vancouver (have not tried the Vegas one) and Yu Seafood in Toronto.. Hakkasan though has a few great/special dishes like their dim sum selection, chili crispy beef and hand cut noodle - though some of its main courses are not as special. but you can say that with most Chinese restaurants as the best ones only have a few dishes that really sets them apart from the rest. We went twice and it was not busy - even on a Saturday - thinking MGM Grand is not a luxury hotel and Hakkansan is very expensive so not the most ideal hotel to be located as they need to rely more on guests from the top end hotels than from its resident hotel (unlike say the restaurants at the Bellagio where resident guests would make up a large percentage of its guests - though Aria/Caesars also next door - MGM only has mid-range hotels beside it). I guess the good news is that the restaurant may not be full and those that want to go can get a table. Food is way better than Tao (which I found very pedestrian and standard and flavors catering too much to non-Chinese tastes - though the Tao nightclub was by far my favorite when I went regularly when I was single. I had not tried Mott32 in Vegas but Vancouver one is one of the best as noted above.

The Chilean Seabass was phenomenal! My waiter also suggested the green beans and Hong Kong fried rice. Green beans were great the rice was good but nothing overly special. I wish I knew her name but there was a lady there assisting with water, silverware, clearing plate ware etc… she was amazing. She brought over different sauces for me to try, we chit chatted a bit and overall she made it a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be returning!
Be the first to ReplyFelt being ripped off
I went for dinner here and while the food was OK, we felt that we entered a tourist trap. The wine that we wanted was not available anymore. The waiter mentioned that the cheap wines (still 80$) were selling fast and they a running out of them. It ended that we had to order a more expensive one. With the food, we ordered a beef dish and they brought us a different one which was again more expensive. We left with a feeling of being ripped off. This is not acceptable for such a restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyPoor level of service and too many mistakes - but good food!
The bottle of wine we ordered was not available because they were out of stock. We ordered a beef dish and when paying we realized the waiter had ordered another beef dish which was 10 dollars more expensive. These mistakes should not happen in a high end restaurant. The overall experience was none personalized and cold! The food though was super delicious and that is the only reason why I am giving it 2 and not 1 star.
Be the first to ReplyPretty good
Be warned, it’s a high end restaurant in a strip Casino, it’s going to be expensive. The food was pretty good. The garlic beef was as tender as I could have asked for and the dumplings were straight up delicious
Be the first to ReplyExpensive and mediocre at best
We arrived without a reservation. We ate at the bar but there were lots of empty tables and when we left there were still lots of empty tables. The bar tenders were nice and the service was good but the sweet and sour pork was tough and cost $47. The drinks were fine but at $23 and $24 a piece they should have knocked my socks off. Needless to say we won’t be returning there anytime soon. I would give it a pass. Lots of fabulous restaurants in Las Vegas for much less.
Be the first to ReplyBest meal of the trip!
Related to Tao located in MGM Grand. Ambience cool and chic. We ordered the sharing meal for two I think for $58 per person. Totally worth it!! Dumplings looked like jewels. Good variety. Dipping sauces were tasty. My sister chose pepper steak and I ordered General Tao chicken. Her steak was perfect!! So delicious and tender. I couldn’t control my yummy noises! My chicken was elevated and tasty, but next time I’m getting the pepper steak for sure! We had to leave early so we took the dessert to go. Service so attentive and nice! I recommend this restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyA proud feeling taking clients to dinner at Hakkasan - GREAT
The staff was great and the food awesome. We had selected a couple nice bottles of wine from a good selection and ALL of the food was so delicious and well presented. Nice cocktails as well. I really like the Tao group restaurants and very comfortable and confident taking clients or my wife! The nightclub afterwords if the icing on the cake (went to Tao nightclub).
Be the first to ReplyNot sure why, but there was that one problem that should have never happened.
The service was excellent as was the meal,so I am going to rate that as exceptional. But there was an issue that both embarrassed and upset me. At the end of our meal I said I will charge this to our room and was told that we could not charge our meal to our room because the room charge system was down and had been for days.As I handed my credited card to our server I said that seemed odd and not the best way to service a guest. She said she would get a manager and within a short time he was standing beside our table. He repeat what our server had told us and then added “If you are worried about points” and that’s when I informed him I was not. By this time the people dining around us had taken notice, I was upset and my wife said to the manger “So we are here for 4 nights in a Skyloft and we can not charge to our room and you think we are looking for points. He put our credit card down and within a few minutes returned with a room charge receipt. “What the heck was the real problem”
Be the first to ReplyBest dinner during our trip
We dined at Almalfi's, Scarpetta's and Hakkasen while in Vegas. All were very nice restaurants but we all agreed that Hakkasen was the best! Their sea bass was amazing. It will be on my list again for our next trip! Excellent food and service.
Be the first to ReplyPeking Duck for our family
We appreciate the excellent service at Hakkasan and attention to detail. We ordered the Peking Duck which two of our group of 3 had never tasted it before. It was delicious!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service
Had tasting menu for 2 - food was amazing, loads too much for 2 but everything tasted great and dessert was mega experience!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, but waaaaay too expensive
I had a dinner here with a friend of mine and food and wine were great. The location is also really nice and makes food even more enjoyable. Then the bill come and the joy ends. I really understand that great food and location have a price, but 350$ for two people just for a main course, a glass of wine and a dessert is really too much.
Be the first to ReplyExperience not as good as london
For the price we paid it feels the overall ambience was lacking. Food was tasty but not as good as Hakkasan in London.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional food
A group of 6 of us enjoyed a wonderful evening at this beautiful establishment. The service is above standard. Everyone was happy and friendly.
We ordered several appetizers to share and each of us ordered an entree. Everything we sampled and was amazing! The flavors complimented and satisfied our palettes. Our compliments to the staff and chefs.
Just ok, unfortunately.
Got there early before the crowd. Order four shared/dim sum plates. Two came out timely and then the wait began. Twenty minutes after finishing the first two two more arrived. Was hoping for amazing flavors, but things were ok. If the flavors were better, the wait would not been as bad.
Be the first to ReplyNot really impressed
I was disappointed with this restaurant. The dining experience was just not great. The service was mediocre. The cocktails were bad. I am glad that they had some vegan options on their menu. I really enjoyed the vegan dim sum. But the side of vegetables I ordered were covered in way too much oil. We were in and out in less than an hour. The tables were seated really close together. I would not return here for a meal.
Be the first to ReplySimply exquisite - went for our wedding dinner
Arrived in the evening as part of continuing our wedding celebrations. Service was excellent, ambience good, music not too loud, wide range of dishes and chose a number of sharing plates.
Our least favourites dishes were still good, and the best were incredible. Would highly recommend the pork pot stickers. Looking forward to visiting other Hakkasans worldwide. We spent $500 for four of us, including drinks.
