Stunning historical hotel !!
Stunning historical , luxury hotel, super friendly staff , excellent breakfast , spacious rooms, excellent location , the only thing is if you are short , or older ask for a bathroom with a step in shower , the step up in the bath is way higher than standard bath tubs.
Be the first to ReplyLovely room, mixed service
I stayed in a deluxe room and it was fabulous - a canopy bed, a large bathroom with two sinks, two easy chairs and a great view out of my two very tall windows. I did wish that the TV had offered CNN because SKY News seemed to be on repeat every time I turned it on, which I do when I'm getting dressed or ready for bed. A group of nine of us ate dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was very good, as was the service. The breakfast buffet was average and I was surprised that you couldn't get eggs-to-order in a hotel like this. Maybe you could, but the waitress never told me. In fact, the breakfast staff always seemed to be in a hurry to do something other than take my order. On Saturday morning, there was hardly any staff at all. This is really the reason for taking off one star.

We stayed 6 nights here. The location is perfect for exploring the city, close to restaurants, shops, museums and other sites. The hotel is very traditional in ambiance, service, and decor. The room (juniour suite) was very large with big windows, a comfortable bed and nice linens. The only downside of the room is the lighting is somewhat dim, especially in the bathroom which is painted in dark colors. We had drinks and ate in the bar a couple times. Offerings are limited but good. Service in the bar was terrific. We used the laundry service which was great because laundry is done the same day. Massage by Seiko was excellent. Sevice was exceptional. In particular concieges Mr. Gert and Ms. Stefanie, and Mr. Kennedy at the front door were all so helpful! Can't wait to return. And Mr. Kennedy, we hope your days continue to be EXCELLENT!!!

Since the new GM started at this wonderful hotel, the atmosphere came back as it should be in this iconic hotel. Guests who enter the hotel should have the imagination of going back into time. The the romantic era of the 19th century. The staff is really friendly and helpful. By contacting the reservation dept. you will definitely find a good option for your stay in Hotel Des Indes

Great historical place, great staff and big rooms.. If you want a good and taking care hotel then is that the place to be. The hotel have that what you want at a stay in a luxury hotel like this. From arival till we leave all was good organised…thanks
Be the first to ReplyWorth a visit if you don’t mind being patient
We visited the hotel after a friend recommended it, what a place - it is like time has stood still. We only stopped for tea and cakes but we’ll worth it. The older staff are very attentive and lovely but the more junior staff were somewhat disorganized and hectic, This led to incorrect bills and people becoming irritated l, however that should not discourage you visiting. A nice Tea and Merengue, and worth visiting just to see an old style hotel!

This hotel exceeds all expectations. The staff is wonderful friendly and relaxed. Would recommend the valet parking and the cocktailbar. It is perfectly situated in the city centre and will definitely come back here.
Be the first to ReplyStay here in The Hague!
Really wonderful hotel. Beautifully located. We upgraded to a great room. We were at the corner and had beautiful light. The service is super friendly and impeccable.Communications about reservations excellent. Overall a great experience.
Be the first to ReplyVery comfortable but some issues
Stayed here for 3 nights. Room (junior suite) very comfortable with an outstanding bed and good view of the city. Bathroom very good, high quality with separate shower. Room spotlessly clean, linen top class. Location in The Hague couldn’t be better, close to trams, buses and the central railway station. Next door are many restaurants and pubs/cafes. Door staff very friendly and helpful. Downsides: room heating was inconsistent, running hot and cold, bathroom floor heating scorching at times. Never got a full complement of towels. Woken up early the second morning by heavy construction on the floor above, went on all day. They started later the next day after complaint but really this shouldn’t happen in what purports to be a five star hotel (more a good four star in my estimate). At checkout I asked to use a separate card for payment from the booking but was ignored by the clerk who booked it through to my card that charges commission. Sloppy, and expensive for me. Taxi arrangements on leaving a bit confused. Overall, for the price paid, generally satisfied and recommended for the outstanding room - but after they finish construction!

Overall the hotel was good, nice gentlemen of the valet parking who we tipped twice. Good food nice environment, good location. Only one Greek bartender was a grumpy man who didnt smile. And a smile is a plus and a gesture to your guests. Just smile, its free and makes everyone's life easier...
Be the first to ReplyAmazing, historic hotel.
Everything about this place is perfect, such a great atmosphere walking in through the entrance and into bar area. Reception staff are the most friendly I’ve ever encountered, what a credit to the establishment. I will definitely return here and stay a bit longer.

The hotel is ideally located in Den Haag and has a car park in front with an excellent valid service. The hotel offers modern comfort in a historic setting. The check-in goes friendly, fast and efficient. The rooms are nice and very neat. We had a room with a bath, we prefer a shower. We did experience some noise in the room coming from the street. The breakfast was very nice. The service there was also top notch. The check-out went very smoothly. The car was ready with the luggage in it. Top service!

Booked a room with breakfast and added dinner in the restaurant. Great location in the center of The Hague, and the package we booked included valet parking, which was great. All staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The room was ready upon our (somewhat early) arrival and looked great. Very stately. After a stroll through the city and a light lunch, we prepared for dinner in the restaurant of des Indes. Before that, we enjoyed a drink in the beautiful lounge. We then had the four course chefs choice menu, and all dishes were great!! I especially loved the black truffle risotto, and the entrecôte was cooked to perfection. The accompanying wines were great as well. The service at the restaurant was top notch, not too long between dishes, and not too short either, everything at a good pace and we had a very friendly and professional young man who seemed proud to be working where he was, and rightfully so! All in all, great place! Would definitely recommend saving up for an experience like this.

Be the first to ReplyVery beautiful hotel, nice surroundings
Very beautiful hotel, the room was great, the people who work there were very helpful and friendly, the surroundings were absolutely stunning. When we arrived we got a room at the ground floor, but we could here the water running through the pipes in the ceiling. We asked for an other room and got it. This was very friendly.

really nice. best things the staff - in particular the concierge. room was very nice - bar lacked a bit of sparkle. nice hotel, great location. and ps there is a restaurant nearby that you have to visit called dekxels. absolutely amazing. car parking is ok. breakfast is ok
Be the first to ReplyA Very Enjoyable Stay.
The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance to the major attractions, but also in area that is relatively quiet. The staff was wonderful - helpful- and friendly. The rooms are on the smaller side in keeping with the age of the hotel, but very clean. The bathroom was definitely on the smaller side, and my only complaint was that the water temperature was very uneven. The room came with a coffee maker, an iron and ironing board, a safe, robes, and slippers. There is a sumptuous breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.
