Pros: - location: if you want to be in tourist central, this hotel can’t be beaten. - cleanliness: housekeeping is excellent and efficient, our room was cleaned to a high standard daily. - Quiet: despite being close to Times Square, our room was very quiet, no problems sleeping. Cons: - location: also a con as the hotel is basically IN Times Square with all the attendant problems (smell of drugs, loudness, bouncers in the lobby 24/7 presumably to keep guests safe). - room quality: the room is pretty tired. Bedding and duvet are the thinnest I’ve ever seen. Blood stains (admittedly tiny) on the bedding were a particular low point. - Amenities: there are none! No in-room dining option other than grabbing a bag of food from the ludicrously pricey downstairs deli. No restaurant at all. No glasses in the room, just plastic cups. This hotel has generally strong reviews. I’m not sure why. Perhaps this review is more a reflection of us than the hotel but we wouldn’t stay again.
