First class!
We spontaneously looked for a restaurant for 6 people in the evening and we were warmly welcomed here and served first-class food in this family-run restaurant. From antipasti platters to main courses and desserts (homemade pistachio ice cream and a special tiramisu variant) and very tasty wine. The rooms are cozy and in the summer you can sit outside in the quiet alley. Thank you!
Delicious, yes - la dolce vita, no
Il Buco, located in the basement - with a "cool lounge atmosphere" - is in the league of "upscale Italian restaurant" and belongs there in terms of the cuisine we experienced. The service is also rather cool and too blasé for my taste. The clear and tidy menu has many unusual delicacies with a noticeable tendency towards "pasta dishes". Like the ambience, the menu is rather informal, casual and does not follow (or enable) a classic four-course meal. I left the restaurant with mixed feelings: I enjoyed a very delicious dinner: the ciabatta to start with was excellent and my spaghetti with clams was really excellent and the combination of the individual components was a revelation in terms of taste. But I have never been treated so condescendingly. Starting with entering the restaurant with the stroller, when before even saying hello, the greeting was "We are not a child-friendly restaurant", to the fact that I could not sit down because the waiter was "lounging" on my seat to take my order and I had to wait until he "gave me" a seat. If the second waitress had not been friendlier, I would have left before I even ordered. So that I am not misunderstood: I can absolutely understand that there are restaurants where children are not welcome! When I reserved a seat (they asked for high chairs), there was no mention of "children not actually welcome"! Overall, the disrespectful tone and attitude that was shown to me "spoiled the soup". Unfortunately, even the excellent food cannot completely disguise this.
Il Buko: An Unforgettable Dining Experience (5 Stars)
Service: The service at Il Buko was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and attentive. Food: The food at Il Buko was simply delicious. Everything was homemade and prepared with great attention to detail. The dishes were beautifully decorated and presented. You can tell that the cooking here is done with passion. We even got an excellent homemade focaccia with our meal. We rounded off the evening perfectly with a heavenly panna cotta. Ambience: The ambience at Il Buko is cozy and inviting. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and you immediately feel at home. Spontaneity: We were given a table spontaneously, even though the restaurant was already full. Everything was done to give us a seat. Conclusion: All in all, our evening at Il Buko was an outstanding experience. We ate delicious food, received friendly service and felt completely at home. Recommendation: We would recommend the restaurant at any time, but with the note that it is an insider tip in Hamburg and reservations are recommended. Rating: 5 stars (no ifs and buts!) Additional information: We were only visiting Hamburg and tried Il Buko because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed and would definitely come back if we were to visit Hamburg again!
A new experience not a good one
We were in Hamburg again and, based on good experience, we reserved a table here. The restaurant is in the basement, so to speak, and is always very busy due to the good quality. I don't want to comment on the food and drinks, but during our stay it was very hectic. Tables were moved and re-set for waiting guests, so we could hardly enjoy our food and it was hardly possible to have a conversation. What surprised and annoyed us, however, was that after the main course had been cleared away, we were asked for dessert and were told in no uncertain terms that we had 20 minutes and then we would have to vacate the table for the next reservation. Personally, I think that's an impertinence and it's like being thrown out, so it was my last visit and that of my friends.

We were with a small group at Il Buco and every dish, whether starter, main course, dessert... every dish was incredibly tasty! A huge compliment to the kitchen! The service was also super nice, friendly and casual - but always attentive... You really feel at home in this small restaurant. Don't tell anyone! It should remain an insider tip! 😃
Cozy and good basement restaurant
Well hidden - luckily we found it. Experienced a good atmosphere, got nice food and good service. Could see the teamwork of the kitchen staff who made everything work super well

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Idk if this is related to the unsold listing % rule but I have listed 6 reservations and sold 5 of them and my unsold listing percentage is ~45%. For some reason the unsold listings have not been converted into sold ones. Does this happen only after the payment is released following the booking or is it an issue that needs to be addressed?

Forget trying to snipe reservations online by waking up early and booking top restaurants at Carbone or Tatiana or Cote or 4Charles. After 2.5 months of booking reservations by setting up alarms, waking up early to sell appointments. It’s very hard to cash out on this app. During cash out, you have to pay $5 fee +3% transactions fee and max payout per day is $150.
Advice to new users:
- do not mass book reservations
- fill bids only
- don’t try to book reservations online, you need connections and call the restaurant
After putting in about 40 hours of work, I’ve made about $750 sale on this platform but gotten paid $0. Take this with a grain of salt.

Has anyone found a way to get a question answered? From what I can tell there is no way to get in touch with anyone that works at/for AT. Other than the occasional admin posting a consultation offer here and there they are non existent. A lot of people have the same issue I have where we cannot cash out earnings. I cannot get my warning medal removed even though I am under the threshold. Sad to say but seems like AT is holding up everyone’s funds currently. I accepted a bid for a popular restaurant in Los Angeles only to receive a phone call shortly thereafter informing me that the reservation had been canceled due to it being listed on AT. I of course need to subsequently cancel the reservation on AT but get this warning that my status will be negatively affected for doing so. I've reached out to customer support about this several times with no response, not sure what to do in this station. Hoping someone can advise.
