My husband and I had our first date at Izzy's 22 years ago.
We've returned frequently over the years with friends and our child. Last night we went to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we were so excited. We left sad and disappointed. We put on the reservation that we were celebrating our annive

We had a GREAT time! An Camila was our server and I would, 10/10, hang out with her and be friends with her. It made Izzy's like a place where your friend works there and she takes good care of you and low-key gives you recommendations on things

Pork chop was not the same recipe as the original Izzy's before they remodeled. A bit dry, needed to be dipped in sauce and came with the bone which took up most of the plate so much so that there wasn't much pork to begin with. Everything

Went to Izzy's for a work dinner and absolutely loved the vibe and the food. My steak was perfectly cooked, and I couldn't stop eating the fresh baked sourdough bread. Classic steak house vibes, highly recommend for steak in the city.

I tried Izzy's steakhouse on the recommendation of an acquaintance and found myself sorely disappointed. I went there specifically to try the prime rib as I've been looking for the copycat of house of prime rib as I've faced poor servi
Outrageous pricing for the quality of product and service.
On a slow night, the wine took 14 minutes to be brought to the table. I ordered a Guinness and it was served in a milkshake glass. The steak I ordered wasn't prepared as requested. The portions are TINY compared to other steakhouses. The staff w
I used to love this place.
You could get a decent dinner with two sides for a decent price. But tonight we ate there and the bill came out to $250 for two people. That's two glasses of wine two steaks with two baked potatoes and one salad. Seriously! Unbelievable prices.
Great service good food.
They brought the wrong appetizer, but they let us keep that one and brought the right one for their mistake. They comped some champagne for us, which was good and bad given that we had two dirty martinis to start with and you don't typically wan
The drunken shrimp appetizer was my main meal.
A extremely delicious sauce served with grits although I would have appreciated more grids. Thank you for bringing back the baked potato! Love how nicely dressed the staff is. Glad to see place full on a Wednesday. Bring back blackened hamburger
Walked by tonight & remember so many great/special dinner
Walked by tonight & remember so many great/special dinner prior to the way too long restoration - come on it took at least 1 1/2 yo 2 years to change some items in the bar & dining room?! Something was up The place ain't what it was -
I went with three friends and, initially, enjoyed the vibe.
However, the food was completely midd and the waiters make you feel like you have to chase them and are racing away from the table while you are in the middle of ordering. Amongst the four of us, we had two strip steaks. They were mediocre and too he
Embarrassing
The dinner is similar to an airport vendor. $52 for prime rib is laughable. The bartenders are very limited in their service. The food is an afterthought. The wine list is silly for San Francisco. This is not a traditional San Francisco restaura
Excellent in every way.
I can't say enough good things about Izzy's. The food, service, atmosphere, we're all beyond our expectations. We were a party of 7 and each of us had a spectacular experience. I can't wait to return.
Extremely disappointing experience
Very poor quality rib steak; tough, tasteless and thoroughly unappealing presentation for the most expensive steak on a steakhouse menu. Brussel sprouts nearly raw, house potatoes served lukewarm. Restaurant is tired, worn and poorly maintained. Very
Very Good Choice - enjoyed very much
Very good, food, service and price. Plenty of restaurants around but this was an excellent choice. If we were here longer would definitely return.
Very disappointed in quality of prime rib
Very disappointed in my recent meal here for a few reasons. 1) We were never offered bread, which use to be a staple, and the menu did not indicate it was by request only. 2) I ordered the prime rib and it was the worst prime rib I've ever had a
Not rushed
We booked a table but had to move to a booth due to a very large noisy crowd. We waited almost 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken. Despite this, the food & service (eventually) were very good. I would have gone 5 but lack of initial serv
Didn't dissapoint
My husband and I celebrated his birthday at Izzy's. We hadn't been there in a long time and were looking forward to going back. We were very pleased with our meal. I had the prime rib and he had the steak au poivre with sides of the creame
