Why this place has a Michelin Star is beyond me! The staff here deserves kudos for operating under immense pressure since theyโre severely short of people. The Maitre Dโs are pedal to the metal doing the work that ought to be getting done by wait
Flatters to deceive
Service very patchy. Waiter kept pushing us to order more food. No offer of taking coats or bags anywhere. Food was ok but not worth the price. Wonโt be back.
Donโt waste your time - Michelin needs to revoke their star!
The Michelin star needs to be revoked. The service is terrible, and the food unflavored. I love fine dining and will go out of my way to dine at a Michelin recommended restaurant, but this place should have a Michelin WARNING, not a star. The staff i

The Michelin star needs to be reviewed.. Evening meal and the place was full so thatโs all good. I ordered my drink and ordered the starters but then we started to notice odd things. When giving us the food they donโt explain what was what, yet
Not seeing why this has a Michelin star
Service was appalling, staff were slow and disinterested. No water glass refill the entire time we were there. Two guests ordered two beers to drink with their dinner, and we had to call over a waiter to remind them about the beers and by then, di

Fell short of expectations for a Michelin star
"The dishes were nothing special and fell short of expectations for a Michelin-starred restaurant. We were hoping for something more refined and memorable, especially considering the price point." The service was medium.
Poor standard for a Michelin starred restaurant.
Can not understand what the Michelin inspectors have seen in this restaurant. Having been to 70+ starred places global, clearly this is not a star. The service is mediocre, the price is way to high for their standard. People should use their money

Jamavar deserves a Michelin star if they don't have one already. Exceptional, Indian cuisine at its best. Only issue is they added some charges that were not obvious. Especially for non locals. Other than that service was very good. Cramped s

The service was excellent, but the food was uninspiring and very disappointing when compared to some of the amazing Indian restaurants in London- overall overpriced and not worth the price. It was fine just not dazzling.

Incredible food, ambiance, and service! We asked our waiter to use his discretion with our order/bring out a few of the top dishes and everything he selected was so incredible! Excited to come back!
Location and decor excellent. Food disappointing.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The tables are a little too close together for my liking and the music a little loud if youโre under a speaker. The staff are excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable. The food though is wh

Profit over customer service

One of the best Indian meals of my life.
The Dehli butter chicken was amazing, the Saag Paneer was transcendent and alive with fresh spinach flavor, and the tandoori prawns were beyond fresh, with a perfect seasoning and just a kiss of char from the Tandoor. I would not order the lobster or

My experience at this establishment left a sour taste, and it wasn't just the food. I booked a table online for Saturday lunch on Friday evening. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed to cancel within an hour, but was informed that a ยฃ100 cancel
Always delicious and dependable dishes. Service is also very good.
Linu was our waitress. She was caring and effective. She described the dishes perfectly so that we could make good selections. Deepak Dubey the manager gave us an amuse bouche. It was Jamavar Dal. 24 hour slow-cooked black lentils. I usually donโt

Dangerously delicious!!
Great Saturday lunch! We went for 4-courses and every course was dangerously delicious! I consumed more food than I neededโฆ butter chicken being my favourite! The warm gulab jamun was just the perfect finish!
Horrible customer service
Unfortunately Jamavar did not live up to the standards whatsoever after attempting to amend my booking due to an emergency. I was spoken to very rudely on the phone by the so-called manager who informed me that I was not able to amend so close to the

One of my favourite restaurants in London- & the best & most gracious service
I came here solo to try the set game menu which formally expired at the end of January. It was a week before the formal end date but it rapidly became apparent that - on that day at least - the chef simply didnโt have enough of the ingredients to
Disappointing

Great value for money!
I went for the tasting menu and it was so overwhelming. Each course was a treat and the the portions were so generous. I couldn't finish my main course and they were even kind enough to pack the left over food for me. Overall it was money spend well.
Great value for money
Had a fabulous lunch with my friends. The food was really good and of generous quantity. The ambience and service were great too.

Top notch Indian food in London that will not disappoint.
Service is impeccable. Only thing is the music is a bit dance club like for dinner. Otherwise, will return another time.
Not sure how they earned and maintain a Michelin star.
We went there with high expectations, and had the tasting menu. Overall, the first several courses were amazing. They were absolutely perfect - though the lamb chops could have done with a little more spice. The last course of Butter chicken, daal

We made a reservation for Jamavar months in advance.

Yes it's fine dining and it lives up to to the standard.
Great food and ambiance, ok service, CTM was good as was the garlic naan and rich, butter chicken was fine, lamb chops were undercooked and a rip off for the price, would go again minus the chops.
Overpriced and very rushed lunchtime taster menu service. Some highlights in the taster menu.
Ate here with friends at lunchtime. We all chose the taster menu. There were some real highlights being the stone (sea) bass and the soft shell crab. I thought most of the rest was disappointing for a M* restaurant at this price point. The six course
Worth the time
Had very low expectations after reading all the reviews, but it turned out perfect. Amazing service from our waitress Fareka, food & wine both explained in detail very happy will be returning soon in hopes she would be our server again
Both A Service Charge And A Tip?
Few would be churlish enough to quibble with the quality of the food here, but unfortunately some of the staff are churlish enough to ask for a tip on top of the already steep 15% service charge. Beware of such wide-boy practices which are unworthy o

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Jamavar London at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Jamavar London page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at Jamavar London to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Jamavar London!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
