Great Korean inspired food. The fried chicken, ja jang style ribs, toro ssam bap, truffle scallop and rack of lamb were delicious. Great atmosphere and nice friendly staff.

I had dinner here last week while spending 5 days in NYC. What an experience, I'm so glad we got a reservation. You walk off the busy street into the restaurant and you're transported into a quiet and calm ambiance that is just lovely. There was no pretentiousness here - we were welcomed and treated great from entering. The service was phenomenal - our server gave us details on all the dishes we had questions about and made sure we understood the menu. Everything we ate and drank was amazing. Such unique flavors, textures, and smells. It was all just fantastic. We loved this meal so much - I'd love to go back and try more options!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing, careless service. Very good food, but not sure the food redeems the service quality.
Visited Jeju Noodle Bar last night (Thursday, 1st June) and tried our luck with getting a walk-in table. When we got to the reception at 815pm, we were told that a table would free up in about 20 minutes and we could leave our number with her and she would call us back. We checked back in around 20 minutes later and the hostess let us know that the table was nearly ready and we could wait inside to be seated. We waited for about 5 minutes and the hostess came back and told us that unfortunately that table had been given away for another reservation by her manager (?) but that a spot at the bar would be ready in another 15-20 minutes. So off we went again to wait for the next table. In 15 minutes, we received the call and came back, and this time we were seated at a table for 2 to the right of the restaurant, and I thought great, they managed to move us to a table instead of seating us at the bar. We were seated for at least 20 minutes before someone came to take our order, and after placing our order, the same hostess then comes back and tells us that we had actually been seated incorrectly and that our actual seats were at the bar, and would we mind moving because she’s had to kick out another couple who were waiting for their table (?). By this point it was already 930pm, our food hadn’t arrived anyways, and off we went for our 3rd location for the evening. The food we ordered was delicious (toro ssam bap, gochu ramyun and family ramyun). However, I would have expected a Michelin starred restaurant to have taken care of their customers better, but there was no mention of these service hiccups through the evening, whereas other restaurants would have at least sent a glass of wine to the table for the inconvenience. All in all, although the food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the toro ssam bap, the level of service, especially for such a popular restaurant, was subpar.

I go to their reservation site and minimum 2 ppl. I then email them twice. Not even a response. I go there in person and they say they all booked so I asked then how can I eat here and they say we do walk ins. I asked what do you think I’m doing now? What a joke. Even on their website they restrict your dining time to an hour and half which is ridiculous. They try to be funny with a motto printed outside restaurant - “Coffee, no. Noodles, yes” But a more apt motto would be “Service, no. Money, yes”
Be the first to ReplyVery dissapointed
After arrive on time for the reservation, the host offer us to wait in the corner of the bar (not even in the bar) after saw my disappointment. We order the ribs for appetizer they were just ok, nothing spectacular, to much red salt. I ordered the lamb noodle a lot of taste nothing compensate the flavor. I will never come back to that place and not recommended to anyone
Be the first to ReplyGO GO GO!!! Best place for Rahmen for sure
What an amazing place. Yet again working down my list of Michelin Star Restaurants and this one popped up. The owner personally came by the table to check on us. The food was amazing and I would go again. Price was on par as well for what you get. Again make reservations early and you will not be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyBetter than ever
I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened, and I think that has gotten better over time. Everything was delicious. I think their ramyun is better than any ramen place in NYC. The potato salad that comes with the ribs is the best I have ever had. Adding a dollop of caviar to your fried chicken is a very cool twist.

Amazing all around! Incredible food
So great! I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely excellent all around. The food was incredible, the employees were as well. I especially appreciated explanation of how to eat food we were not familiar with.
Be sure to get a reservation early!
Good food and wine but overpriced
The food was excellent. We choose a good wine but the wine list was overpriced. The staff was friendly. We had a good time
Be the first to ReplyGood but Overpriced.
This Michelin One Star is overrated. The Korean dishes are good, but overprced. The rack of lamb is priced at $150 and ribeye at $6 an oz or $192 for a small 32 ozs. They require you to spend $100 per person without tax or tip which is easy to do given the high prices. Gochujand bokum was good as was the wagu ramyun (beef in noodle soup for $42). The amberjack was tough and not very tasty. The scallop hwe was tasty. The restaurant is simple, like any other noodle shop. Service is good. There is a bell on the table to ring for the waiter. Wine list is price too with a wine (Pierre Girardin chardonnay) that retails for $30 (probably sells for half wholesale) selling for $85. Though it was difficult to get a reservation over Resy, the restaurant only had one other party eating.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent lunch spot
Excellent lunch spot in the West Village. Recommend the Cha Ramyun - soup with noodles and beef. Very tasty and very filling. Also open for dinner and just as good then too!
Be the first to Reply$$$$ for price but $$$ for an amazing experience!
Do not believe the $$ sign as this is definitely a $$$$ place for type of the food, but I can probably agree that it should be $$$ for the experience. It is NOT just a noodle bar, but the prices on the menu will change your perception immediately. While the setting and environment was a bit austere, but everything are of high quality, from ingredient, to presentation, to disposable utensils, and to furnishing. Come here with friends so you can order prefix meal (minimum 2) and share.

Jeju was delicious! I am not one that loves ramen, but the fish coo I ordered had a delicious broth that I would eat any day, the noodles were just right, the chicken complimented it very well, and the fish was just a bit chewy. The service was impressive. I never had to wave anyone down, and the staff were very friendly. The food also came out faster than I expected. I went with my father, who is a vegetarian, and he was able to order enough to fill him up well.
Be the first to ReplyFirst Noodle Michelin Star!
This place was recommended by a fellow friend who lives in NYC. I mean, I understand why they got the michelin star. My husband and I were able to exchange a few words with the Chef Douglas Kim.
He praised his fellow coworker Chef Jane? I believe.
You know what they say - A chef is only as good as the sous chef and a meal is only as good as the company.
I mean the experience was amazing and there’s nothing better than feeling so cozy and the family vibe from staff to guests is just incredible.
Michelin star????
Totally bamboozled how this place has a star.
The good = really amazing front of house, impressive coating on the wings and lovely sauces with both the wing and squid appetisers.
The bad = totally one dimensional ramen with zero texture, packet-like noodles, fatty beef and our main was served before the appetisers were cleared. Also, something we had must have contained ALL the e-numbers, as both of us were left struggling to keep our eyes open afterwards.
Not impressed at all
