Incredibly good Korean inspired cuisine and wine pairings
My final NYC dinner at 2* Jungsik was near flawless — if only I could forgive them for serving Opus One lol. I teased the sommelier mercilessly, but it did pair beautifully. 😂 It truly was a fantastic dinner with incredible food, incredible wine pairings (I went for the $475 Grand pairing), and incredible service. A little stiff on the service, but we had enough moments to relax a bit. If this were 3*, I wouldn’t have been disappointed. My friends with whom I dined are Korean and Chinese and know Korean food extremely well (unlike me). They were very clear how wonderfully Korean inspired the meal was without most of it being truly reflective of real Korean food. But we all agreed it was spectacular inspiration. I’d return in a heartbeat. Fabulous.

Just had one of the most incredible meals of my life at Jungsik. I ate at the bar and had that selection. I expected it to be good but it far exceeded our expectations. The depth of flavours and selections played well with each other . The chef made sure to create food that fit in with some of my restrictions due to medical problems. The servers are very welcoming, spent the time to explain the menu and gave wonderful suggestions. Service impeccable. The desserts are works of art in looks and taste. Cocktail suggestions were spot on and a delight.

It is always a pleasure to write a review for a restaurant that exceeds all possible expectations! This is such a review! Four of us went to Jungsik with high expectations and came away in awe of the culinary talent pouring out of the kitchen and the extraordinary service and attention to detail in the front. George, our principal waiter, was quite amazing in his knowledge and willingness to share it as was Debbie, our wine steward, who had a remarkable knowledge of Korean food and wine pairings. The food was stunning, the wine list extensive and the staff without fault. No question, it will be a very expensive evening but, trust me, worth every dollar! It is much better than seventh row center orchestra seats on Broadway. What a great restaurant! We were all seriously impressed!

Some of the dishes were "wow", other dishes weren't as good. Given that it ended up costing us as much as Chef’s Table, our simple conclusion was: dollar for dollar, go to Chef’s Table. Service was attentive, and the overall presentation - mind blowing. Also, unlike Chef's Table, the food ended up being super heavy, so much so, that two out of five diners ended up feeling a bit sick.

A two Mechlin star restaurant serving modern Korean food. Creative and delicious. The octopus was the best I ever had. Crispy skin and soft inner. No dish was not interesting. Service was very friendly and attentive. They have a very good non-alcoholic selection of drinks as well.

This place is definitely one of the best restaurants we have ever experienced, not only in the US but also in the rest of the world including Europe. The place is elegant and cool at the same time, cosy and stylish, inspirational, innovative …what a great intimate atmosphere in a rather functional city like NY. The food is of outstanding quality, freshness and creativity. Jungsik offers an extensive wine list guided by a sommelier, who knows every position in detail. The service is friendly, not stiff but very professional at the same time. The staff knows the dishes in detail, is approachable and unlike many other restaurants in New York every one is devoted to create a dining experience for the guests. Jungsik is an expensive experience that’s worth every penny if you are up for an unforgettable dinner. You can tell, we love the place and would highly recommend it, even the seats at the bar, which we enjoyed. Try everything to get a table!

This is by far the best meal of the year and we go every Wednesday evening to a Michelin rated resto in New York. It is really French food with a Korean touch. The mackerel, uni, wagyu and banana desert is were to die for. Perfect service and great wine list. Overall outstanding.
Absolutely Amazing
We had an amazing meal on Saturday night (3/12) for our daughters birthday. The food was incredible and the staff went beyond to make our dining experience a very special one. A special mention of Chris our server and Jamie, our sommelier who were wonderful to us. They are both charming and knowledgeable. Jamie recommended some amazing wines for us that we thoroughly enjoyed. We are big foodies and love a unique tasting menu. This chef definitely knows what he is doing! Don’t miss out on this place!

Amazing Sweets
I was in Us for few days so i visited my friend Eunji, she is the executive pastry chef there.
I was at Per Se for dinner and after thet i went to Jingsik just to try the menu sweets menu created by Eunji.
She made amazing and delicates selections of 7 desserts with a champagne pairing.
What a amazing evening.
Superb pastry section
Instead of going for the full tasting menu we came here to enjoy their dessert only tasting menu. Understandably, this is served in the bar rather than in the main dining area. Despite this, the service - of both the food and wine - was from the same staff and at the same level as the dining room.
The desserts themselves were all very distinct, so offered a great journey through the pastry section's creations. Of course Jungsik's signature mini banana dessert featured along the way. The amount of work and delicate touch both in terms of the actual techniques involved as well as the balance of flavours was evident in each and every dish. Even the more classical dessert, their take on the classic Paris-Brest, was particularly good.
All in all an excellent experience and next time we'll be back to enjoy what the rest of the kitchen has to offer!
Magnificent
We had the season menu. The lobster and cod dishes were absolutely superb. This is a world class restaurant and was arguably the greatest meal I have had in NYC. The signature cocktails were also fantastic. We will be back to try some of the signature dishes at the bar with cocktails.

I don't eat seafood. Period. Jungsik's menu featured little else. Our superb waiter, Tim, accommodated my limitations and then some! New York is STILL the greatest restaurant city in the world, and Jungsik is among the reasons why! A great, great evening of culinary delights!

I selected Jungsik for my birthday dinner in NYC with my mom and wife. I couldn’t of been more pleased with the selection. The service was best in class if not better than some of the finer restaurants that I’ve eaten out in Europe. The ingredients were extremely fresh, very different than your standard fine dining food, and I couldn’t of been more pleased with the selection. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and very different than your standard fine dining food without being “strange.” The staff was so friendly and extremely attentive. We had the signature menu and I am so glad that we did. I would recommend this restaurant anyone anyone who is looking for a unique fine dining experience that is extremely memorable and fun!
