Nami Nami is about as close as you get to a salaryman's restaurant around here. Maybe Tanto in Santa Clara. It's not inexpensive and it's not off the charts, either. Small but very acceptable sake choices on the menu. Nice variety of different Japanese menu items and cuisines--you could totally have a sushi night here and another at your table could have something completely different. But at the end of the day, it just reminds me more of Japan than most other restaurants.

They are very friendly. We gave sushi and fried octobus and a pancake with seafood in it. All wonderful.

This place feels very Japanese. The sake "flight" of junmai, ginjo, daiginjo was the best part. The food was very authentic, perhaps a bit too imaginative and overwrought. I didn't know that mushroom goma ae was a thing. Generally the food was okay but not my favorite. It lacked salt or seasoning for my taste. The salmon belly and cheeks were not caramelized enough. The mackerel was too mushy for me. The daikon with chili miso sauce was undercooked and not spicy at all. Still you might like this place.

I lived in Japan for years and am always so happy to eat at Nami Nami. It is a real Japanese restaurant. Unassuming, friendly, and authentic. Japanese expats in Silicon Valley often frequent Nami Nami to get a taste of home while they live in the area. Japanese visitors and locals alike all know Nami Nami as the best Japanese in Silicon Valley. The menu goes well beyond sushi. I recommend the crab porridge (Kani Zosui) on a rainy day. The kid loves grilled rice balls. And vegetarians will like the Eggplant Dengaku. The staff is amazing. In more than 6 years of eating here very frequently - every meal has been amazing.

This is a great Japanese restaurant. The menu is very different from the typical "American-Japanese" restaurant, lots of authentic Japanese dishes. Everything is delicious, service is impeccable.

Was here today for dinner to celebrate Father's Day. The menu was extensive with wide selection of seafood and some vegetarian too. Food was very light with good portion size, but brought authentic Japanese flavors on your plate. The avocado and dried plum rolls were melt in the mouth. Had a second serving of these Maki rolls. Seaweed salad was good, so was grilled eggplant and arugula salad with sesame sauce. Nama Beer (Sapporo brand) paired well with our food. Dessert menu needs more variety. Sesame ice cream was creamy and semi sweet, loved it. Excellent customer service, ambience was very Japanese ( that's what we wanted). Worth the money.

This is my regular lunch place. I love their set lunch. They offer varieties of japanese food, ie. sushi, beef, noodle, pork chop... You name it, they have it. The service is pretty good as well. Dinner menu is more complete with some tapas. It is a great plane for family as well as for friends to hang out.
