If you blink you might miss it. However, don't be fooled by how small the restaurant is because it delivers big on flavor, presentation and service. Came across Kinn from a list of best new restaurants in Los Angeles Forbes published recently. It is tasting menu only. Menu changes periodically. $79 per person. You can add the crispy octopus for an additional $21 (as of 1/17/2023). We love sitting at the chef's counter just watching the magic happen. Plates that stood out are the kurodai mulhwe, crispy octopus and pork jowl. The smoked roes in kurodai mulhwe added such umami to the dish. So good!! The crispy octopus is probably the best octopus I have ever tasted. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water and it's worth the extra charge. The only dish that did not tickle my fancy was the winter squash. The texture of crispy quinoa was fun, but the whole thing was rather bland. Service was very attentive and food came out in a timely manner. I wouldn't be surprised if Kinn gets a Michelin star the next time they make their rounds in Los Angeles. It certainly has the potential and I hope Chef Kim keeps up the good work!
