A pure moment of happiness, delicious and refined cuisine (Sébastien) and impeccable service (Sébastien Giovanni)
A pure moment of happiness, delicious and refined cuisine thanks to Sébastien, and impeccable and precise service thanks to Sébastien Giovanni. Thank you both. We will remember it for a long time....👍😊

It was perfect ! All the dishes were delicious and very nicely presented. Calm and warm atmosphere, impeccable service. It's well worth a Michelin star.
Be the first to ReplyUnexpected experince. Will not return.
Well, this was an unexpected experience. Based on a star in the Guide, I had higher hopes and expectations. The evening began with me arriving and "the front door was out of order". Had to walk through the kitchen instead. (turned out the front door worked shortly after)?? It was my birthday celebration and the companys hostess wanted to start with a glass of champagne. The waiter brought us one and claimed it was named "Grand Cru". It was flat and tasted of raisins. He claimed it was "just opened" but that simply cannot be true. It took the waiter more than twenty minutes to present an alternative champagne. (We were the only guests at the time in the restaurant). In the mean time, the first courses arrived, way ahead of our welcome toast. A messy start of the evening. The twelve course dinner was a pleasent experience except for one, that was not on the menu. Som "Celeriac surprise" was presented. Too tough to cut through and harsh in taste. We had to send it out uneaten. Apart from that, food was impeccable. One of the dishes, Venison, was presented as being "cow". The management cannot let an unexperinced trainee open the restaurant. He was simply lost in the job and our experince took the damage of that. The whole experience felt unprofessional and not at par with the claimed star in the guide. Will not return.

We arrived to Kokkeriet to find no maitre d’. Our coats were taken by a taciturn, speechless waiter, and we sat down and were offered champagne, which was lovely. We were then instructed there would be two “snacks” before the meal and then we’d get to choose our type of meal - meat, pescatarian or veg. An hour passed and no one checked back to see about our choice or offer more drinks. One of the snacks came - tiny morsel that was tasty, but after an hour of nothing - not even bread - we were very hungry. We flagged the waiter - a lovely young man who was very apologetic and said he was also the manager. He said he was so sorry for the late service and that the “menu was new.” He was extremely flustered and told us he’d check with the chef again but that the meal was likely to be “slow”. It was very odd. He came out a few minutes later with a weird little ball of dough on a bed of lavender (the second promised “snack”, almost 1.5 hrs later), but when I bit into it I realized it was meat and I don’t eat red meat. We told him we’d like our coats and we left, feeling very sorry for the diners who remained, none of whom had received any food. As we headed down the street scratching our heads and casting around for a taxi, we peered through the kitchen window of the restaurant and saw three of the waiters yelling and swearing at one another, all three bent over one small dish, trying mightily to put it together. There was no one else in the kitchen, so we concluded that there was also no chef! A walkoff? Who knows, but thank goodness for a nearby wagamama.

Had invited 16 guests to an exclusive private dining at Restaurant Kokkeriet. What an experience, we had a royal evening with super attentive service. The food was world class and beautifully decorated. The room we sat in was perfectly clear to all of us. Me and all the guests had an evening at Kokkeriet that we won't soon forget.
Be the first to ReplyYour taste buds will thank you
If you are looking for outstanding food, succulent tastes, and surprising combinations, coupled with personal and attentive service, this is your choice. I went there with my stepdaughter and it was the perfect ambiance for a fun conversation and really, really good food. Staff is super friendly and well deserving of the positive ratings this centrally located restaurant obtains. Your taste buds will thank you!

Kokkeriet is a diamond in the rough! I would definitely get the prix fix menu as it is quite a culinary journey! Be prepared however, because dinner can be over 3 hours.

Big downturn. Extremely expensive, old fish and flavor combinations that crashed! Questionable wine package. Sad evening for 10,000 nok
Be the first to ReplyA festive dinner turned into a gourmet experience
We visited the Kokkeriet on a festive occasion, and were greeted by the friendliest waiters, including their sommelier, who told us in detail about the wines and the food. He had all the dishes under control and they all tasted incredibly good. Really nice mix of fish, vegetables and intense meat dishes, and interesting and innovative wines to go with it. The experience was worth all the money and more. We would love to come again!
Be the first to ReplyBest food and service in Copenhagen
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Kokkeriet and the whole experience was fantastic. From the exceptional service from our waiting staff (Elvis was wonderful) to the food and drinks. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Copenhagen who wants to make their stay memorable. Can't wait to eat there again.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic evening as always!
Kokkeriet has been a favorit since many years and Will continue to bee. Nice and comforting. Beautiful food, and service made our evening just great. Starters were amazing and gave us a hint of what to expect. We were two couples and had the small meny and winemeny. Great paring food and wine. Love to Come back soon.
Be the first to ReplyCompletely unacceptable behaviour
On a fleeting break to Copenhagen, my partner and I looked for a traditional Danish Michelin stared restaurant, so were excited to try Kokkeriet. What a disappointment! A catalogue of errors turned what should have been a lovely dining experience into a terrible evening. Met at the door by a trainee who didn’t greet us, or engage in any conversation. She led us through a lively and pretty restaurant, through a door marked ‘private staff’ past the coat rack into an empty back room with a few (empty) tables. When we queried it she assured us that the tables would fill up - they didn’t. As could be predicted, since we were the only couple in that room there was no atmosphere and worse still the service was so poor, that it took 30 mins before menus and drinks were even offered. …and then only after complaining. I asked for a glass of fizz to start and was recommended ‘blanc de blancs’ by the sommelier, although this was the most expensive on the menu I decided to go with the suggestion, only to be told by the serving waitress that they had run out of it! The poor service continued, with no one checking on us, meaning that we had to pour our own wine and water. Obviously we complained, but were simply told ‘I agree but there is nothing we can do’ After the first course we were at the point of leaving in disgust when a table in the main restaurant came free and we moved. This was ‘night and day’ and what we should have experienced from the very beginning. To his credit, the head waiter adjusted the bill in an attempt to compensate for the disastrous start, but I have to say NEVER accept a table in the back room. For a Michelin star restaurant the way we were treated was unacceptable and only changed after we complained several times. Not deserving of it’s star at all.
Be the first to ReplyFind something else, Copenhagen has so much better to offer
Please find some other place, never before I have experienced such for Michelin star place, slow service, not much taste, no wow factor, way too high priced for the return. We had to leave middle of the menu after even truffle didnt taste well. Staff didnt offer any compensation and afterwards making complaint via email owner was rude and refused to give compensation for the 1500 euro worst Michelin star half dinner ever. In Copenhagen you can find MUCH better than this !
Be the first to ReplyAn outstanding dining experience.
This is quite simply one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We decided to elope to Copenhagen and chose to have our wedding day meal here. The staff welcomed us warmly and were very friendly and helpful throughout. This is expensive, but it is a special occasion place so that’s fine. I’d also call it a bucket list restaurant. Flawless.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing experience !
Thank you Kokkeriet for a wonderful evenig beyond expectations ! First Michelin experience in Danmark and it was perfect. We got the Big menu with wine parring and where surprised all along. Every dish was better then the last one and service was perfect too. You have the meals you eat while talking and the meals you talk about when you have eaten them. Definitetly a number 2 here, we will remember this evening for a long time and are looking forward to taste a new menu. Thank you to the whole team and keep going ! Lucie :)
Be the first to ReplyWonderful gem in Copenhagen
My partner and I ate here on Jan 3rd and were pleasantly surprised by everything Kokkeriet had to offer. From the quaint small atmosphere, wonderful friendly service, amazing creative dishes that all packed depth and nice flavor profiles. The price point also can’t be beat for a Michelin starred restaurant in Copenhagen. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want an excellent tasting menu on a budget while in Copenhagen. One of our favorite places whiles on our culinary trip to the city, good food that has no shock value, they focus on putting out great food instead of making you paying a lot of money for things that are impressive to do, but taste like garbage, here is looking at you Noma.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolute delicoius food. Wines are extraordinary expensive.
+ Extraordinary food. Top products. Surprising dish combinations. Charming service (reception could be better) - Wines ( menu or a la carte) are extremely expensive !
Be the first to ReplyNot Michelin worthy
We had the vegan menu and unfortunately this was really below average. It felt like, the regular menu but the meat and fish had been taken off the plate and we were served the garnish. Everything felt very loveless and with little passion for fine dining. We are here on a culinary city trip and prior to our visit to you we had dinner at Vaekst and Ark, both do not have a Michelin star, but served a menu full of surprise, passion and layering. Unfortunately, none of your dishes made us feel anything. Normally I would be very embarrassed to say this because a restaurant is someone's life and all their work goes into it, but here I never felt passion for what was on our plate. If the chef has no passion for vegetarian cooking, I recommend removing this menu from the restaurant. A vegetarian menu is not the normal menu but with substitutes, a vegetarian menu must be developed in itself.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Danish Michelin-star cusine
The food, service and environment is excellent. We were served the large menu with the wine menu which we enjoyed very much. Great evening! Next time we will go for the seafood menu 👌 Some guests were underdressed. They came in casual shorts and t-shirts. Always remember to dress up for a meal at a Michelin-star restaurant 😊.
Be the first to ReplyGood food - terrible service
We went to this restaurant knowing it would be a long, involved, food experience. We had our kids with us (ages 7 to 13 - who have eaten at nice, fancy restaurants before) and we came prepared. But it should not take 4.5 hours to enjoy dinner, even a Michelin stared dinner. We said ‘don’t wait for the kids to finish their plates’, we asked for the next course to be served when asked if we wanted more bread. We asked to skip the last savory course so we could get to dessert. We did everything to let the restaurant know we could move along a little faster. None of our prompts were headed. We asked for wine, the server didn’t ask what we wanted but just went for what they planned on serving. We had to stop them and ask for something different. When I asked for champagne, I was poured a glass from a nearly empty and flat bottle. I had to ask for another glass. 3 hours in to this experience, I went to the bathroom and there were no towels to dry my hands with. While the food was delicious, that was lost in how bad the service was. Michelin stars are supposed to be given based on the whole experience, so I do not understand how Kokkeriet has any stars at all.
Be the first to ReplyLovely dinner and great service
I have spent a lovely evening with my family at Kokkeriet Restaurant. We really enjoyed the experience! A nice and warm welcome, excellent food and great people. We will definitely come back during our next visit in Copenhagen. Totally recommended 😉
Be the first to ReplyBirthday Celebration
I went to celebrate my birthday and got the full pescatarian menu that consisted of about 14 courses (without add ons like cheeses and caviar). Every bite was incredible, the staff was beyond helpful and knowledgeable, and we all left so full. I truly couldn’t say anything that can be improved upon because the presentation and flavor of every dish was perfect. I will recommend this restaurant over and over :-) I have included photos of my favorites from the evening: two of the main dishes, the halibut and cod, and one of the desserts, a fennel/lemon thyme/white chocolate.
Be the first to ReplyVery good, friendly gourmet experience.
A quiet small dining room in an old town house. The menu possibilities are broad from single dishes to light, small, and large tasting menus with adapted good wine pairings. Fish, vegetarian, and vegan alternatives are provided. The modern Danish cuisine was tasty and innovative without going overboard. An excellent dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyNice as a flower store, less so as a restaurant
Very showy dishes, all crafted to look beautiful (and they do!) Problem was that many lacked much flavor and were good but hardly exciting. Some used ingredients that may have looked good but weren’t good for taste. A very pretty but tame fish tartar had a hard wafer of brown bread that added nothing but difficulties in cutting it. And the good but not excellent quail had crunchy (actually hard) buckwheat on top that added little flavor while making the breast harder to taste. Service marginal – staff whose English was not great, also more lauding the food rather than explaining it.
